NOTE: This is not a post for people with a negative mind set. This is for people that are ready and willing to put a bit of effort toward making a change.

Hey guys.

Upon the recent news about Mattel taking over in 2010. I think it's time for the fans to take action. Many people feel like me and will only continue to buy WWE figs if they are in scale.

Lets have our voice be heard by Mattel. I know many people say that we are powerless. And we may not be able to influence which company gets the license. But if enough of us write real, paper, hard copy letters and mail them to Mattel we can make a difference.

Write to Mattel and let them know your passion for wwe figure.
Let them know you want a 7inch scale series to fit with your huge collection.
We the long time collectors make up a huge segment of the market. We are the die hards. We are the people that have such a back log that continuing on is something we have to do more than we want to. LOL. But seriously. Them changing the scale will force a huge part of the collectors out of the market.

Lets write to them and introduce them to WF so we have a chance continue fan friendly contact like we had with jakks.

We now know that Mattel is the inevitable maker of the future WWE action figures. Lets do all we can do to make them at least in scale. It may seem impossible. But if we don't try we will never win.

Lets express our concern for keeping a classic superstar like line.

I urge each and every member that wants to fight for the scale of WWE figs to remain he same to please write a letter to Mattel.
If you write courteously and express a mature opinion this will may just work. But we have to all do it. Tell your friends.

I am making a pledge and i ask that you respond and make a pledge to write to Mattel. Respond to this post with your pledge to do so. We have 2 years to make our voices heard. This should be plenty of time to make changes to Mattel's new WWE License plans.

I emailed them straight away and told them how to keep the fanbase and how dedicated we are and that if they start a new style of WWE figure then most collectors won't buy their stuff. I elaborated more than that obviously and told them to check out this forum.
I know alot of consumers are kids but most kids have 20-30 figures in their collection of mixed styles, I buy more than 30 figures in a week alot of the time so percentage wise I reckon most of the market is serious collectors. I wouldn't buy any more figures if they didn't fit with my 800+ collection, most people that love Classic wrestling and action figures already has a CS collection so a different style version of that idea would never sell, it's so important for everyone for the figures to stay the same, even WWE itself would severely suffer if the figures change, I hadn't watched WWE for years but after catching up with all the CS figures I wanted more figures so I bought RAs and that actually got me interested in watching WWE again.

I think Jakks will make TNA figures the same way they made WWE and Rocky because its been great for Jakks. There isnt really a reason to change what they have been doing, they already have molds they can use that have worked for them, They really only would have to pay for new head scans for TNA talent, Jakks listened to us and they know most people hate scale changes so to put TNA in scale with WWE not only would make collectors happy but also would piss off WWE that their old toys are in scale with another companies new toys.

I think it is a good idea and I hope mattel does the same good job as JAKKKS did but I can't wait to see JAKKS take on the TNA line -up.

By the time they are set to produce the first wave of WWE figures, online retaliers like Ringside will already have contracts to sell WWE figures. Therefore, by Jon and/ or Jon dealing with Mattel, they're likely to find out about WF and the boards anyway and get filled in on how much coverage WF will give them for free at promotional events like Toy Fair and Ringside Fest.

There's plenty of time before Mattel comes out with their first line of WWE figures.

Unfortunately being all the way over here in England, sending a letter all that way just to voice my opinion to a nobody in the mailroom (sad as it may be), seems a little much on not just effort, but expense too.

If they had an email, i'd be there straight away.

I'm willing to give this a chance, as alot are saying, wait and see the product.

I'd have to give it serious thought though, if the product differs that much to the RA style.

At the moment i really lost any interest on everything regarding wrestling figures...i hope the 2 years remaining of wwe/jakks figs will give us some special productions, and when wwe will be made by mattel if they'll make their products compatible with the RA figures i'll buy their figs, if not i'll probably stop collecting or buying TNA figs if made RA style.

i really dont think any of this will matter. Many people wouldnt collect DAs, MAs or BnB because they werent the same as RAs. Jakks wont sell the RA mold to Mattel so whereas the Mattel figures MIGHT be the same height as RAs they wont be in RA form. If i had to guess the new Mattel figures will be more compared to DAs, but its possible Mattel will keep everything the same like they did from the transition from WCW to TNA. Lets just hope Jakks gets a big pop of classic superstars out before 2010. If lucky Jakks will continue the RA line with TNA and maybe start a Legends of Wrestling line and be able to sign Randy Savage, Sting, Owen Hart etc because you wont have to get WWEs approval for those

I know that Mattell will not have ruthless aggression style action figures. What i am fighing for is just scale. 7inch actionfigure line. So that they all exesit well in the same world. Ever sine TTL first debuted the size has been pretty much the same and that is a huge collection to go to waste.

It won't make a difference as far as scale and articulation goes Mattel will make them how they want them because they are a business and they want to sell their product. If they make a Triple H they want it to sell. They don't want you to say..."Hey I have a Triple H...I'll pass on this one" So if they decide to go with a 5" figure then that's what they'll do...you have to remember this board/collectors are such a small percentage of their targeted business.
I can see that people will be upset, but at the end of the day they are just toys and if the sculpts are nice I'll buy them. Personally as much as I love the CS line I'm just glad that things like the thunder thighs/fat ankles Jakks gave us will be gone. Again my big concern with Mattel is their boy toys distribution. I can find any Barbie my daughter wants at any store yet I have a very hard time finding thier DC product. (Especially the JLU lines)
