This is dumb. If they want to change the scale, let them, they should do what they think is best with the line once they have it. IIRC most of Mattel's figure lines are 5''-6'' scale. I don't think a letter writing campaign is going to make them revamp their formula to please the small sect of fans who will actually write letters. You don't see DCD fans complaining that Mattel doesn't make DCUC in 7'' scale to please them.

After seriously considering your proposed idea about writing a letter to Mattel about saving the scale of our current WWE figures. It hit me that come 2 yrs from now the WWE figures are not going to be the same to us collectors. This really started to hit home as I love to buy the figures for myself and I buy some to keep MOC for my kids to see what figures were like when they were little. And I decided that I will join your support team and voice my opinion to Mattel the same way you are.

Oh shut the up and let them do their own thing. Do you honestly think that Jakks is going to give that same courtesy to us TNA figure collector's? NO. So just piss off, whiney bitches. This is dumb. RA, DA, AD, CS, and all the sets in between are all to scale, plus all of the old TTL's! You think that little 5 inch guys sitting inbetween those are gonna fit in? Hell no. TNA has had figures for a whole 2 years or so now? I'll be sending in a letter.

Thats the spirit. Just think if we all write a letter and tell atleast one fig fan to do the same. We can at the very least give Mattel's mail office one hell of a headach. I wrote a long letter so maybe i should throw in some Advil when i mail the letter?

Am I the only one who is looking forward to these new figures and [possibly] a new scale? I'm not trying to sound negative, really...but Mattel isn't take over the WWE line until two years from now. By the time they are set to produce the first wave of WWE figures, online retaliers like Ringside will already have contracts to sell WWE figures. Therefore, by Jon and/ or Jon dealing with Mattel, they're likely to find out about WF and the boards anyway and get filled in on how much coverage WF will give them for free at promotional events like Toy Fair and Ringside Fest. There's plenty of time before Mattel comes out with their first line of WWE figures. Mattel is a much bigger company than Jakks is. I don't really see them having people get online to see what a fringe minority of their consumer base wants. I really hope I am wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

Thats my point exaclty. The jakks wwe line has pretty much been in one scale going back to the first TTL figs. I know that WCW and TNA figs are slightly smaller nut even still they are not that far off. Sory to all the haters but scale is somtihng that is realy imporantt to me. And sue me for trying to do somting about it. I know that i am just a casual fan of tna right now. But once jakks takes them over. If they keep the same scale using rA stuff. I will likely buy allot more tna. And even watch more tna. Oh shut the up and let them do their own thing. Do you honestly think that Jakks is going to give that same courtesy to us TNA figure collector's? NO. So just piss off, whiney bitches. This is dumb. I think DC started in the 60's or something, but either way, it's a MUCH bigger property that WWE. Also, DCDirect has been making DC Comics figures for years in the same scale as the WWE figures (and with pretty much the same articulation), but when Mattel got the license they started doing super-articulated 6'' scale figures (DC Marvel Legends pretty much). If they didn't change for DC, they aren't going to change for WWE. I hope they keep the 6'' scale. The majority of the most popular figure lines are 6'' scale (or smaller).

Can't just be the slightest bit selfless and help us out? LOL I mena seroiusly What harm will it do to yo if the scale is the same? It's for the greater good man. Help a brother out. I'm not going to be like the rest of these guys and personally attack you, naparo. It's not necessary, especially on such an unimportant issue of the scale of wrestling figures. However, I'm looking forward to the new figures and I'm actually hoping for a new scale. Jakks' scale was horrible. Just look at the sizes of Rey Mysterio Jr., Paul Bearer, the height differences between the tallest Superstars, etc.

I agree with you that the internal scale of charatres was totaly ignored except for ginatis like Andre, kahlie exetera. agree that we should have rey short and not have paul bearer taller than the undertkaer. But when i ask to save our scale i am in no way saying make all figures one size. Hells no. I am saying make the average wrestler the same size as an RA. As far as scale have it be 7 inches to 6 feet 1:12 scale i think it would be. Approximalty. I wuold lvoe to have figs in an actula real scale so theire true hight is resembled int here figs. Im just syaing lets do it in a way that maintiants the integrityt o fo ur roiginal collecitons. I also am looking forward to matell. They do great work. Peopel are ready to make fun of them for the barbie line. bUt that is osmtihng i am very excited about. Barbie makes me think that there is a posiblity for more cloth outfits and less molded rubber. But to clear things up. I in no way want a single size of all guys. There should be variation rperesentetive of reality. I'll be happy if Jakks uses the RA molds for TNA... as far as keeping scale with the RA figures when Mattel takes over, it won't matter to me in the least... in fact, smaller figures (even an inch or so) might make it easier to collect as there would be less room taken up... this would also allow for more figures per case which means more figures on the pegs which makes favourites easier to find...
I just worry about the distribution issue people keep mentioning about Mattel...

WEll if thye are woreid about fitting figs on shelves and shipping constraitns there is a simple solution. Cardboard boxes for figs like exclusives come int. Thats why cerial boxes are the shape they are. So in shipping they can be most efficiently packed. If I owned more RA's then I'd probably have more of an opinion. They are arguably the greatest wrestling figures ever, but they were still terribly flawed so I never bought many. But, to be honest, I don't care what the actual scale of figures are, just so long as they are in proper scale with each other.

Am I the only one that hopes they'll continue in 3 3/4inch?!? No you're not. I said in a post right after the new deal was first announced, that the worst thing about all this is that the BNR line will probably end once WWE leaves. In a perfect world, Jakks will keep it up with TNA and Mattel will do the same thing with their new WWE line. Then I could start stocking up on those similar NJPW and MMA figs and have bad ass little collection. (pun intended)

Things evolve all the time.
If I had spent a hefty sum on the old LJNs back in the day & had collected all of those figures, I would have been super pissed off when they gave the license to Hasbro.
I had a ton of Hasbros, but then Jakks got the license and the new Jakks figures were giants in comparison. BUT - I still played with them. Kids will do the same with the Jakks --> Mattel switch, because at the end of the day, they are STILL just action figures and kids want to play.
A 6 inch figure & a 7 inch figure is just that.... they are an inch difference & I could see Mattel saying, "eh - close enough" and putting out that product. If their figures are that good - people will have entire collections devoted to just that style, just like we did with the RA/CS lines.
When the first CS line started, it caught people's attention. Non-collectors became collectors because of how good the line was - the old characters and the same style. Mattel has a chance at that same opportunity starting in 2010. They can get non-collectors to take notice AND they can get former CS collectors to take note of their product & jump on board.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter to me. I'm excited to see what Mattel releases & hope that they are far superior to anything Jakks made. I have a pretty good collection of RAs and if Mattel's figures are better - it won't bother me to buy a new HHH, HBK, and the like.
The ONLY thing I want is if they do make their own scale & stuff, I would like to see an updated Classic Superstars for that style....
