That would be plain stupid, it could mean anything
people need to think about this. Mattel is planning right now how they are making the WWE figures, since this is a big company that has a lot of fans. If we send them messages now, they will see that we want the scale correct. They would have time to change it.
But somne should send in measurements, becuase Mattel wont come out and buy a figure and measure it. If they dont know what were talking about, they wont do it.

Well yeah. We need to tell them we want a 7 inch scale \ That would be plain stupid, it could mean anything people need to think about this. idk what should it say then? just like my thoughts as to why it should be saved and povs? Yeah I think thats's good. If you go through with sending a letter try and cover what I have below= - Explain that scale is very important to us collectors. Explain we have 100's of Jakks figures and it'd be a shame to re-start collecting different figures with a completely different scale. Talk about the articulation with Jakks figures, How they suite us.. etc. Talk about what molds we should have.. How were looking foward to seeing there figures.. etc.

I'm going to unsticky this for a little while since I have another thread that's improant I need to sticky. Sorry Nap, But I'll get this stickied again sometime . this thread is of massive importance to all of us, why can't you just leave it stickied? there isn't that many stickies. or if not, you could easily combine some of the other stickies. this will just fall off the page and get forgotten as people post thousands of suggestions that won't matter at all if the scale changes

well it's up to you of course... but IMO you should leave it stickied indefinetely, maybe even until 2010.
people will be reading and sending the letters without replying here probably. and not everyone reads the boards every week. i mean i'm also a member of the fwoosh forums, but i only read the forums once every couple of months. this hasn't even been here a month yet.
the scale issue is just so important, probably THE most important thing, we have to try really hard to convince mattel not to change it

Sadly, im not going to help in this but make sure the letter is personal, do not use evidence! E.G (Do not do this) Hey mattel, EVERYONE at WF is wondering etc.! We need these personal! e.g Hey mattel, im just writing to you to ask what kind of scale wwe figures will be, jakks have satisfied us and we think you will probabbly do the same, we hope you have fresh new ideas along with some old ideas JAKKS used! etc. etc.

I like Naparo, so this isn't an attack at him or his generosity to offer free shipping, but..
What are you guys on?!
I mean, you're sending letters to mattel saying, essentially:
"Hey Mattel, please dont change the scale of figures because i plan on buying your figures, but dont wana have to buy them all. Just the ones that are new."
I mean.. what?! You're telling them to keep scale the same, so it will cost them a fortune!?
I mean, i know people on this board are dedicated collectors (i also am one) but thats just ridiculous. At least try and make it sound like they arent gonna lose a fortune!
Say like:
" Hey Mattel, whats up?
Listen guys, could you do me a favour? will you keep the figures in a 7 inch scale, cos if you make them any bigger they wont fit on my shelf and i cant have that carry on. Now i mean, action figures have always been of that scale so dont start acting the bollocks. If you dont do them properly, dont do them at all!"
See?!

That is in no wya the argument as that would be ahorid argument. The argument on the other hand is keep the same scale or loose many collectors who are passionate and willing to drop allot of cash. It in no way means keep the scale so i don't need to buy you're crap. IN fact the new mattel products will be in a different styel as far as the figure is conserned. And I for one will want these new figures in the new style. I just also want to have them compatable with the huge and indepth collection that i already have. Another reason is that there are many characters that i know that Mattel will have little to no interest in producing. Examples, brooklyn brawler or dare i say Chris spam. (did i just get sensored on that?) Saving the scale also produces an increased consumer base. YOu have the hardcore WWE only fans buying WWE figs no matter what. But what about the TNA fans and what about the fans that float btween companies. I would argue theat they, as many have said thought discussions, will stick with jakks due to scale issues and add to there collecitons TNA charaters. If they stay in the same scale they will then be in a greater position to entise TNA fans and collectors to check there product out and incorporate WWE into there collecitons. ON the surface you have a point. But i hope that the strong bussiness sence of mattel prevales and ways out all the posibilites before putting there money behind a differetn scale. ONe last note. To all who emailed me letters, I typed up my letter and add it to those who sent letters to mea and mailed them off to mattell yesterday. Thanks and keep fighting the fight. Because if there is one thing i have learned from the wrestling bussiness it is that good competition is what can propel companies to greatness and this means the fans win. And when the fans win, the companies that market to the fans win as well.

Well they can't keep RA anyway, as it belongs to Jakks. But didn't they already say in the interview that their main line will be a 6" - 7" sized action figure, as they believe that that is the popular core size for action figures these days? Again, my post wasn't a shot at you Naparo, I just tend to find that we may look childish to Mattel, thus meaning that they may take our future ideas or reccomendations very light-heartedly.
