Also y’all know AEW have a pending trademark for The King of Harts right? Idk where this idea that WWE owns everything ever came from but it needs to go away. I would’ve thought it would have after Cody trademarked some of Dusty’s NWA/WCW creations

I think OP was more trying to suggest that, unlike today, WWE wasn't madly trying to envelop everything that appeared on their program under the banner of their ownership back then. The characters of Razor and Diesel are one thing, for certain, but today's WWE, at times, tries to maintain a stranglehold on individuals' given names, which I think is a touch bit more maniacal.

This is amazing news for all concerned. I really hope they get to do some WWE attires, if it’s just the Japan attires etc then it will be a sad skip for me as they don’t really hit my nostalgia points, never saw him in those matches. I’m sure they’ll sell crazy well either way and hopefully raise good money for the foundation.

.Worth pointing out that Owens store on PWT has a number of items that depicts him with his mid 90s look. I am sure at the very least we’ll get a black singlet with pink trim and a pink Hart. Which would suit me fine.

My guess would be that AEW will be able to use the basic color schemes of Owen's gear, but not any logos.

I saw the statement on Twitter, and it nearly brought me to tears. After all this time...the never-gonna-happen figure is going to happen. Excluding the Brawler, this is the first proper figure of Owen since 1999. Owen was my favorite WWF wrestler when he died, and it really affected me as a kid; he was an idol to me. This is a dream come true!

The only real Owen attires that’ll be off limits obviously are his tights that say 2X slammy winner. I see everything else being perfectly ok to replicate.

Let’s assume everything that has only appeared on WWF TV is completely off limits. That still leaves the Rocket as a possibility because he did wear it in USWA. I don’t believe Vince has any claim to any of USWA’s IP.

If this is the case, I take back what I said in the KoKo B Ware thread, Mattel do him in the baggy green tights and we’ll put this Owen with it.

They won’t be able to say it publicly but surely these companies talk…they could give us what we want from Owens career between them.
