Full post here: www.allelitewrestling.com/post/aew-the-owen-hart-foundation-enter-into-a-relationship-to-honor-world-renowned-wrestler-owen-hartAll Elite Wrestling (AEW) and The Owen Hart Foundation (OHF), a nonprofit charity which provides a vast range of assistance and opportunities to individuals in-need across the world, are collaborating to honor the legacy of late wrestler Owen Hart, a beloved figure in the professional wrestling community and beyond. This collaboration includes launching the annual Owen Hart Cup Tournament within AEW, which will see the winner receive a Cup known as “The Owen,” as well as the production and distribution of unique and original Owen Hart merchandise, including specified retail goods as well as the upcoming AEW console video game. This alliance incorporates opportunities to develop Owen Hart action figures via AEW’s partnership with Jazwares, apparel, posters, and additional collectable merchandise. Owen Hart is survived by his wife, Dr. Martha Hart, who spearheads The Owen Hart Foundation with a mission of providing global aid to at-risk communities (e.g., scholarships, housing, various forms international assistance, food drives, backpack giveaways and Christmas projects). “AEW’s relationship with the Hart family dates back to our inaugural pay-per-view event, Double or Nothing in 2019, and Owen’s influence is still felt today,” said Tony Khan, AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative. “To extend his memory and his legacy even further through this agreement is a powerful and meaningful moment for the entire wrestling community.” “The Owen Hart Foundation is extremely pleased to partner with AEW in this wonderful joint venture to honor Owen’s substantial international wrestling career and the lasting influence he and his craft has had in the sport. AEW’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament serves as a tremendous tribute to Owen and provides an incredible way for professional wrestling enthusiasts to celebrate his work in a most fitting way. We trust that Tony Khan and his amazing AEW team will do a brilliant job with this highly anticipated project. This OHF/AEW partnership is my special gift to all of Owen’s magnificent loyal fans who forever remember him and his inspiring repertoire of talents,” said Dr. Martha Hart. About The Owen Hart Foundation The Owen Hart Foundation was established in 2000 in memory of celebrated world-renowned Canadian wrestler Owen Hart. Our mandate is ‘Education’ and our goal is to help provide opportunities worldwide for hard-working people who have limited resources but unlimited potential. www.owenhartfoundation.org

I can’t wait to see them pump these out! I hope they get a few different looks and also add more legends to their line to goo with this. Exciting news. I kind of figured it was only a matter of time before someone was able to get the rights to Owen figures

Honestly, if the best they can do a black short singlet with pink trim, I'll still buy it. This is a huge step forward for the OHF. Hopefully it gets some of the dorks off of Martha's back who think that anybody but her has the right to decide how she mourns.

I know morbid, but I imagine it won't be long until someone makes a video of Owen being pushed off the top of a cage in the video game.

Ohhhhhh boy I am EXCITED for this. I know it won't have the copywritten logos that are owned by WWE but honestly it does not matter to me. Would love the Blank and Pink expected attire or even his singles Black and Yellow. EXCITED!

These better not be Walmart exclusive luminaries! luminaries are not Walmart exclusive, they’re in every other wave of Unmatched. Sting in 2 and Corazon de Leon in 4. The other sting is just an exclusive by itself not part of a wave

As long as the head actually looks like him and not a custom that looks nothing like him or a Jakks head of another wrestler that passes only because it has sunglasses on, I'll get it no matter what gear he is in.

There are 100% Owen's in community creations, and probably some real dumb ass people out there.

I'm not sure where gear designs and all that fall, but honestly, if I'm just wishlisting, I'd love to see this under-rated gear get made: I feel like it's even generic enough that you could do a passable take on it and get by. Always loved this look.

Not sure how pumped I’m gonna be if they can’t do his WWF attires.

Owen was in the legends of Wrestling video games in the early 2000s and his gear wasn't watered down.

oh man, this is really great news, I can't wait to see the look they choose. I have a feeling it be will similar to what they did with the Micro Brawlers, a Calgary/Stampede style figure and maybe a pink and black singlet but instead of Hart Foundation, the Owen Hart Foundation logo, either way, this is awesome.

Martha's comment specifically says "Owens international career" so my guess is we will get Calgary & NJPW looks.

thats crazy. Hmm, what attires can they even do. The only non-WWE Owen stuff released since he died was that Micro-brawler. And he appeared in the wrestling video game ShowDown:Legends of Wrestling. They did include his actual attires with logos in that game. So maybe Jazwares can do his actual gear. As long as they don't put the Slammy on that one singlet.
But the microbrawler had fake logos. And also his pre-WWE look. Which i fear is what Jazwares might have to do. The light blue pants gear he wore in New Japan.

Would also love for AEW to have a tag tournament, Bobby Eaton Memorial Cup, as well. Could get Jim involved finally.
