This is the knee swivel. It has your standard knee joint, but with a pin on the end for the shin to rotate 360:
And this is the thigh swivel. Similar to old Marvel Toybiz, but you can't see the ball like you could with those. NOTE, the photo is me rotating it out so you can see it. If you look at the regular shot of Ishii, you can't see it:
Okada looks miles better in your photo, i may glue some of the tall mattel laced boots onto mine when it arrives to make him a little taller or are they the same height as the mattel ones? Thanks

Well the boots aren't removable. They're like old Jakks. You'd have to do major surgery. They connect at the knee.

Okada's head looks way better in your picture but Tanahashi looks worse. Still no excuses for a $50 figure; the heads should be borderline perfect. These have worse face likenesses than Unrivaled 1 and Jeremy straight up admits those came out worse than he wanted (for $20 too).
Also no excuses are acceptable for the articulation. I remember back in the DCUC days (over ten years ago) Mattel was taking flak for single jointed knees and elbows. Elites shouldn't have them at their price, these definitely shouldn't have them. It's really sad to me that the biggest Japanese wrestling company has figures that would have been laughed out of their home country fifteen years ago, let alone 2021.
I'm not worried about how they scale with other figures, how do they scale with each other? Ishii should be almost a full head shorter than Okada.

Are they really going with single jointed elbows while still giving Naito his hand to do the Abre los Ojos? For $45?

Yes, Ishii should be shorter.

Brian from super 7 said theyll be doing what i said and sending everyone replacement c grip hands. At least thats something. Where did he say this? I would like replacements but ordered from Ringside. Will they be doing it for those folks too or just ones who ordered direct from S7?

Just noticed the forearm also rotates 360 like the shin does.

Ospreys long torso seems to be the culprit as to why hes so tall. Yeah it's muscular for sure. Makes the legs look short.
For fun I popped the Ishii head on the Tana body ... and it looks just like Jinsei Shinzaki (minus the pants), lol. HMMMM. We DO have two Ishii heads.

Yes, they're not perfect ... but come on, no figure is. AEW and Mattel both release hot trash. Not saying these are hot trash, because they're not, but they really aren't bad at all. 95% of people right now are going off pictures. I think lots of the talk will change very soon.

Yes, they're a little too tan, but in these new photos RSC just put up they actually look really, really great. Those original photos did Super 7 dirty.

I'm not saying these are perfect -- I think the two obvious complaints are for sure skin tone and height -- but the price is due to Super 7 being a small company and making a small production run. Masters of the Universe Classics were $25 through Mattel and then $35-45 once they went to Super 7 for the same exact figures.

Yes, Ishii should be shorter.
I do love the lack of pins. That should be more commonplace on American toys. What do you mean by "AEW" style? The AEW joints are really great for a cheaper figure. They have a wide range of motion including double jointed elbows and knees. The torso and waist have ball joints for a large amount of realistic movement that doesn't break up the sculpt. The weakness in AEW joints is the minimum range of motion on the hips moving forward and almost no motion moving backwards. What is useful about rotating a shin? I saw that in your pic and it is a bit neat I guess but a human shin cannot do that. The rotation comes from the hip, which is reflected in the thigh cut which is a bare minimum articulation choice. Rotating shins will not help put these guys in natural wrestling poses. Same as a waist rotation, your waist doesn't rotate on a swivel. It looks bad and is a borderline useless joint. I'm glad you enjoy the figures and nothing should take that away from you. I just had a lot of hope that these would turn out better than the promos and they look worse. I could forgive them for being unable to pose if the sculpts and paint were amazing, but they aren't. The jackets look great, but that doesn't matter if the figure itself doesn't look just as great. I am coming into wrestling as a NJPW and AEW fan starting early last year. My toy collecting before this was almost exclusively focused on Japanese import toys that are a similar price to these Super7 figures, so I refuse to accept less than standards that at least seem to be trying to approach those heights for figure technology. As to the Super7 is a small company thing, that also isn't a good excuse. Their Turtles are amazing so they can do good work. They didn't here, just like they didn't for Conan.

The more photos I see, the more I'm thinking about ordering Tanahashi. 🤷♀️ Of the four, he’s the best. I wish the non-smiling head sat just as low on the neck as the smiling head, but with the coat it’s not a huge deal.
