Hi everyone! I'm TJ from Super7. I wanted to create a post here on the WrestlingFigs forums so you guys have a place to come to talk WITH us and TO us about our upcoming New Japan Pro Wrestling deluxe figures. I'm really excited about these figures and can't wait for you all to see them. Quick background - I've been with Super7 for about a year now, managing our San Diego store. Prior to this, I worked for IDW Publishing for 3 years. I've been collecting action figures all my life, with mostly super heroes, Transformers, MOTU, and wrestling being my jam. I stopped collecting wrestling figures for awhile until Mattel got the WWE license. When I moved from NYC (born & raised) to San Diego, I sold most of my early Elites to help finance moving costs, so I'm still trying to re-collect the ones I sold (The Rockers, Von Erichs, Bundy, etc). All that being said, when I got asked for my input on our NJPW project, my main goal going into this was making sure that these are in scale and compatible w/ Elites so we can all have rad crossovers in our figure feds, Instagram pics and so on. My job on this is to make sure collectors like all of us will be happy with the final result, such as input on accessories for example. I'm really proud of what we're doing and I've seen nothing but positive feedback from people thus far. I got a visit from Curt Hawkins at our booth at NYCC last week and his reaction to the prototypes said it all for me. I'm more than happy to answer whatever questions I CAN answer and I'm looking forward to as much transparency between us as I can give you guys. Please keep it civil. If you guys wanna talk more, you can find me on both Twitter and Instagram
Pre-order starts Nov 1st. Stay tuned for pics before then.

Welcome to the forum TJ. Glad to have you. Looking forward to the deluxe NJPW figures, but I have to admit that what I'm really waiting for are the ReActions. I've been a huge fan and avid collector of them since the style started and can't wait to see what you have in store for us!

Welcome! Great to have you, I'm pumped for the line, and definitely appreciate the dialogue.
Few questions:
Can we expect to get all of the title belts? Okada with the HW Title, Jay White with the IC Title, etc.?
What was the process that went into narrowing it down to 12 guys? Are there bigger names we should NOT expect from this line? I'm assuming no Ambrose for obvious reasons, but what about guys like Kenta and Liger? We've read a lot of past situations where guys like Ibushi and Will Ospreay weren't on exclusive deals to New Japan, even though I believe they both are now, but did a situation like that pop up with a guy you would have loved to make but can't?
Are there any plans to do a ring if the line does well or is this similar to Thundercats and the Thundertank where you want to get one thing out first and then you can start thinking about those kind of items after that point?
Is your New Japan deal exclusive or could S7 potentially make AEW figures as well?

Welcome, TJ! NJPW is my favorite promotion by far so I'm dying to get these figs, and I'm a huge fan of Super 7. If I or we can help in any way, I'd be thrilled to help!

Welcome to the board, TJ! Is there a rough estimate as to how far out before preorder launch we'll get our first look at these? I can't wait to see them!
Also since he's still under contract to New Japan, is there any chance of a Katsuyori Shibata figure?

Will you also be previewing the ReAction figures when you showcase the deluxe figures?

Hello and welcome to this forum glad to have you here and very excited to see what's to come of this line. Glad to hear about the line being worked to fit our current WWE figures. Me personally I hope to see Bullet Club members that are still apart of the NJPW roster here and there in the line to go along with our AJ Styles, Finn Balors, and other members we already have in our collection. Also NJPW championships would be amazing to see too!

I'm so excited for this line, TJ. I can't wait to see pictures.
That said, with preorders coming in less than a month, two questions.
1) what is going to be the cost of these?
2) when can we expect to have these in hand?
Thanks for coming on and interacting. Looking forward to it!

Looking forward to it! These are comparable to Mattel WWE Ultimate Edition figures. That being said, Super7 currently take pre-orders for Ultimate Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at $45 each which will ship Summer 2020.

I'm pretty sure that's what the Thundercats deluxe were too, so I'm expecting the New Japan figures to be the same price. Some are gonna balk at the price but these are made to order and they're being done by a smaller company and they're super niche.

It looks 45.00 is the new price on the Super 7 figures Turtles, Thundercats, Ren and Stimpy were that high. Toxie was 35.00. Can't wait to see pics of these. Can you do Classic NJPW stars or just current. I'm not sure if Chono is still wrestling, but to have him in scale with mattel figures is 1 step closer for an nWo original.

I’d like to see them closer to $35 but will gladly pay $45. I love the idea of a Chono. Scott Norton would be fun to see too.

Scott Norton has a deal with the guys putting out RA figures so he's probably off limits. Chono would rule but he's also a separate license from New Japan.
