Gunn said you didn't have to see any movie prior to The Flash to enjoy it. I don't know how true that is because I haven't seen The Flash or a lot of DC films to be honest because I again I hate Snyder, never cared for Flash or Auqaman. But we know that stand alone movies can be successful. DC knows this. They had two with Joker and The Batman. So a movie with no connection to a "universe" can be done. I just don't know anyone that had Blue Beetle high on their wish list of movies DC should do. But then again the same could be said about the ones that I wish they would do. Stand alone movies can absolutely work….but building a universe and then telling people the next four movies don’t matter just sends the message you don’t need to see this. |

Went to see Blue Beetle with my son this afternoon and it was way better than I thought it would be. The guy whose Jamie and Miguel from Cobra Kai is so likeable that I hope it does.well.
My son is 15 so way too cool to go to the cinema with his dad, but none of his buddies wanted to see it. Plus when he was little Batman The Brave and the Bold was one of his favourite shows and Blue Beetle was his favourite character so it was fun to see the little kid in him get excited.
Although he got mad when I brought up how he used to call Crimson Scarab the Red Bad Blue Beetle 😂
It's true what they say, they grow up way too fast. I'm so glad I boxed up all the Batman Brave and the Bold and DC Imaginext toys and play sets so when he's older he can have them back and appreciate them all over again or maybe even play with them if he has kids of his own.

Blue Beetle is officially a huge bomb. WB have publicly tried to blame the hurricane hitting LA Sunday but there's no evidence to support this because its takings were dire beforehand.
Wonder how much they'll lose on this one?

Watched The Flash today. What a great movie. It was honestly a lot of fun. Keaton returning to Batman felt really special.
