It seems far too late in the game for DC to establish their own universe. Superhero movies arent as popular as they were say five or six years ago, and with Marvel adding TV shows to the mix, the market is way oversaturated.

So Batista said in an interview that he would not be moving over to the DC universe and said James Gunn wants to start from scratch and get people that have never played superheroes before, doesn’t want to recycle the same people.

Long road ahead. All Gunn has to do is copy Marvels formula. It's a licence to print money. But for all their talk? WB haven't given him the keys to the castle. The Bat Veto remains in place. |

Couldn't be any less excited for any of this. Ditto with Aquaman 2 & Flash because they aren't going anywhere

Not into anything Gunn announced, and him and WB killed most of the enthusiasm I had going into The Flash considering it’s leading no where now (funny one of the few things Gunn will keep around is the project his wife is a part of).
I know Gunn technically wasn’t around when WB gave Cavill the green-light to announce his return back in October, but own up to the decision to give him the boot a month later. He keeps saying he can’t fire someone who doesn’t have a contract, but anyone can play with words to fit their narrative. WB told him he’s back, and a month and a half later Gunn told him he’s out. Own it. It’s already a bad enough look how WB messed with Cavill over the years. This just makes it look worse, especially when we’re basically getting another Superman reboot (again, Gunn can play with words all he wants but hes essentially giving us an origin story).
I’m with others that it seems too late to try to build an interconnected universe. Marvel has over saturated the market with phase 4 to the point interest has been dwindling. I’m not big on Reeves Batman universe, but DC should focus on single properties like this rather than trying to continue weaving it all together.

I honestly lost interest in the DCEU films after BVS. After all the hype I figured I’d try to give it another shot with the Snyder cut. Thought it was pretty much garbage. I liked the Wonder Woman films and Shazam well enough but they didn’t make me much more interested in the Universe. Only things I’ve actually really been into have been the second Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. So I don’t care that they are rebooting everything and I trust Gunn because he’s made the only really good content for the DCEU in my opinion.
I will say however despite the lead actor sucking as a human, I think the Flash movie looks fun. Literally all I want from my comic book movies are really fun popcorn movies. So I’ll check it out in theatres.

Flashpoint is one of my favorite DC stories and this movie looks really great from the trailer but also at the same time screw Ezra

Based on rumors before and after Gunn took over, it’ll be used to reset most things into his universe, so I’m not hyped knowing it’ll erase almost everything from the Snyder universe. Yes, the DCEU was a hot mess, but there were some gems in there and casting was on point for the most part. Cavill and Affleck were both showing interest to return, and it was shot dead by Gunn in favor of rebooting Superman and Batman yet again. But the figures? Hell yes to any Keaton and Affleck figures. |

I've never been a big DC movie guy,so this fresh start is ok with me since I wasn't attached to anyting/anyone anyways. I loved Peacemaker and really enjoyed Snyder's JL and the newest Suicide Squad,so this is probably the most I've been into DC ever. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.

Gunn has announced himself the director of the new Superman movie set to premiere in July 2025...So we should be seeing casting pretty soon.
I see Snyder has posted an image on Twitter of his Darkseid with save the date for the 28th of April...wonder what that is about?

I didn't see where Shazam was as bad as most people are saying but it definitely wasn't great either. I liked the first movie better.
