Anyone else excited for tomorrow's season premiere of Arrow?
This is my favorite show on TV now that Breaking Bad is done. Thought season one was great, and I really can't wait to see what's in store this season.

Loved the season premiere last night, and can't wait till next week's episode.
The introduction of the Black Canary was pretty awesome, along with the island flashbacks.
Also, Felicity looked hot as hell...

Shocked that Oliver returned to the island. Why would anyone want to relive or visit an island they were trapped on for 5 years and tortured and the final resting spot of their father. Also didnt like that Oliver is getting away from the list. The whole purpose for being the vigilante is to set right the wrongs of his father. Trying to honor Tommy's memory is all well and good, but he needs to continue with the mission.
Outside of those 2 plot points, I loved it. Favorite show on tv.

I feel like the "honor Tommy" thing was just a really contrived, cheap way to make him not a "vigilante" and more of a "hero" as the show shifts focus this season. Either way, I'm glad it's back.

Great way of putting it. I also agree the shift to hero. It just seems like a plot hole if he gives up on the list...ESPECIALLY considering Isabel Rochev is on THAT list.

Looks like he'll now be The Green Arrow. This is looking to shape up nicely, Canary showing up, and hopefully we start to see Roy Red Arrowing it up. This season is looking great!

I have to be honest, everything in the first episode felt like it was happening really fast. Like they crammed so much sh*t into that episode. Oliver is on the island, Diggle and Felicity parachute to go get him (what?), Oliver returns, Laurel is attacked by bad guys, Oliver meets his enemy for the season in Isabel and sort of saves her life, Thea gets kidnapped, Oliver puts back on the hood, Oliver beats all the bad guys and saves Thea, Ollie has a heartfelt moment with Officer Lance to let us know he's changed, Thea reconciles with her mother, Oliver looks like a genius billionaire by brining in Walter to one-up his enemy for the season, we meet Black Canary, Ollie and Laurel reconcile over Tommy's grave (sort of), and then, after all that, he officially becomes Green Arrow, in what was probably the coolest moment of the show to-date imo. AND, we were still getting island back story the entire time, presumably seeing Oliver's first malicious kill.
That's not to say I don't love that we got all of that stuff out of the way because that puts the show at an extremely good launching point for the season. I love that we are going to see Black Canary now, I love that Summer Glau is on the show, I love that Ollie is officially Green Arrow and that Diggle and Felicity have upgraded everything, and I think we'll get to see Ollie actually get off the island and then possibly Slade be introduced in real time by Season 3. I enjoyed the episode and love the show but it was kind of digestion overload for me with that first episode.
The Black Canary thing is pretty intriguing to me. I'm extremely interested to see how that unravels with Oliver and Laurel and how that's all going to be presented.
And yeah, Felicity is ridiculously hot. I'm sure they'll go about the awkward moments between her and Ollie all season long.

Looks like he'll now be The Green Arrow. This is looking to shape up nicely, Canary showing up, and hopefully we start to see Roy Red Arrowing it up. This season is looking great! I rather it be a LONG road for Roy. I get the feeling that if there is a Green Arrow with a sidekick Red Arrow the show will jump the shark. Also, I love Canary finally showing up. But not sold on the idea of Sara being Canary unless it transitions to Laurel. I do love the plot twist with Sara being alive though. I'm sure they'll go about the awkward moments between her and Ollie all season long. The first episode definitely was moving fast. Certain plot points, like getting Oliver off the island were breezed through. They definitely should have spent more time with it. I dont consider him OFFICIALLY Green Arrow until he actually calls himself that. We are safely assuming that by the end scene. I wonder with Sara if her mom was actually right from season 1. Laurel kind of squashed the theory of her sister being alive with "the woman in the picture being in Starling City". What if she really wasnt the woman in the picture? What if in fact Laurel made it up b/c she didnt like how her father's hopes were getting too high about this and it was forming the weird bond between her parents again. There was definitely tension when Laurel walked in on her parents working together to find Sara.

Killer ending for tonight's episode. Loved the GA vs/ Bronze Tiger. Sad to hear about Dig and Carly...but kind of glad. Felicity was very funny. Dig wins for funniest quote "Black Driver.".

I really liked tonight's episode. I felt bad for Slade being the 3rd wheel on the island. Oliver killing that guy with a rock still disturbed me. Also diggles as the "black driver" had me rofl

Loved last night's episode. That ing ending... Felicity had me cracking up with her fit about becoming Oliver's secretary. Dig's "Black Driver" line was also hilarious. I love how we get two different stories every week with Oliver in the present day, and Oliver on the island.

I am just happy that my cable company finally added the CW to their free primetime on demand channels so I can see it the next day if I forget it is on. (that happened every week last season except for episode 5) and today I see season 1 is on NetFlix so I've finally seen an episode other than episode 5. lol

I think the Shado.Queen romance blommoming is the beginning of the inevitable falling out between Slade and Oliver.

I really liked tonight's episode. I felt bad for Slade being the 3rd wheel on the island. Oliver killing that guy with a rock still disturbed me. Also diggles as the "black driver" had me rofl I did too. But seriously?! You are trapped on a remote island with only 1 female in site. I am sure.....everyone is just trying to get a lil ass. Slade seemed like a love sick puppy and I havent really seen any interaction between the 2 to think a romance was brewing on either end. I was shocked to see him upset over it. He reminded of that guy we all know who wants to marry the first girl he sleeps with. I think the Shado.Queen romance blommoming is the beginning of the inevitable falling out between Slade and Oliver. 100% agreed. Very shocked that this will be the reason for the falling out. I expected something much more complicated....but I guess it makes sense. I am gonna guess that Slade will kill Shado at some point. Ironically, in the comics Shado is Oliver's half sister.....Robert Queen fathered the child in an affair.

I actually really like the idea of how Oliver is coming to try to avoid lethality with the Tommy thing, it felt forced at first, but when I really started to think about it the other night, I think it makes perfect sense. I put myself into his shoes, where if my best friend since childhood's last thought of me before he died was that I was just a reckless murderer, that would screw with me huge, and I can see how that would make Oliver start to want to adopt new methods. Also, him going back to the island didn't bug me. He had just lost a potential relationship with Laurel, his best friend died, his mother was put into prison and he failed to stop Merlyn. The island was familar and isolated, and he knew how to survive out there by this point, it would be the perfect place ot just get away. Reminds me of the book Hatchet and Brian's Return, where he went back to the island.
Also I think the absense of the list is a welcome touch, as with him not wanting to go cold murderer anymore, it didn't really make sense to just have a bunch of names to cross off, and also, he couldn't stop the big plot at the end of last season. Oliver needs to find a new purpose as the hero, and figure out what he is going to do. The list just doesn't cut it anymore, and left little in terms of potential character development or exploration, and instead, was a built in mechanism to support the typical villain of the week type of deal you expect in these types of shows, in particular the early seasons. The formula/structure of the list would have gotten extremely boring over the course of another season. Removing it gives a lot more freedom.

Ras Al Ghul! Ras Al Ghul! Ras Al Ghul! See how that dude was dressed?! At first I thought it was The Dark Archer and then when he said Ras Al Ghul! and took the mask off......you now know. Ras Al Ghul! is the one to have trained Malcom Merlyn. Thats where he went when his wife died. AND now Sara Lance was trained by Ras Al Ghul! Totally left me jaw dropping.

Yes, that was who I thought he was for a second as well. Mentioning Ra's Al Ghul in last nights episode was awesome. I can't wait for next week.
