Original Thread Edit - I changed the format of this thread to match others. This is what was in the original thread: Updated on 9/21/23 - It is unclear at this time if Rush is scamming people, got in over his head, etc. I advise all collectors at this time to protect themselves and their orders when dealing with Sal/Rush until their company has proven themselves to be trustworthy. If you are not yet familiar with the name, Rush Collectibles recently announced their plans to produce Hasbro scale/Retro figures of The French Angel as well as The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko. Yesterday I had the chance to do a little Q&A with Rush Collectibles who were kind enough to take the time to answer questions and tell us a little more about what the future holds! @chair.Shot: The arrival of Rush Collectibles seemed to catch a lot of us wrestling figure fans by surprise. Can you start out by telling us a little bit about who you are and how you ended up getting into the retro wrestling figure game? Rush Collectibles: Big pro wrestling fans. Loved the hasbros as a child now as an adult still collecting. With us starting a small toy company and having the capital my team and I felt that now is the time for us to relive our childhood and jump into the retro game. We are specifically doing our favorite wrestlers and signing loving deals with them to make our fandom a reality. @chair.Shot: Are you currently a one person operation or are there other evil geniuses working for the Rush Collectibles team? Rush Collectibles: Two people but I happen to be the leader of the evil. I handle the design/marketing and my partner handles finance. @chair.Shot: So far you have shown us The French Angel and Larry Zybszko as part of Ring Masters Series 1. How many figures can we expect in this series? Rush Collectibles: Stay tuned. @chair.Shot: Between Mattel, Chella, ZST, and a handful of others, there are a lot of Retro style figures in the works right now. What has motivated you to seek out the names that you have announced thus far? Rush Collectibles: My partner and I are just fans of these wrestlers. Big fans of the wcw days. Love the old school stuff and we sat back and said no one is doing these guys and they deserve a chance to shine in retro form. Like how cool would it be if you could buy a retro Buddy Rogers with robe or a jacked up bulking Bruno. @chair.Shot: Figure collectors have seen a variety of materials used to create figures. Will these be 3D printed or are you looking to mass produce these using more traditional plastics/materials? Rush Collectibles: Plastic created in China and sold here. We are also thinking outside the box and are looking at expanding the retros into different genres. Like retro horrror figures - like image buying a retro style Frankenstein or Gilman! @chair.Shot: Without setting any hard dates, do you know when we might expect to see these available for pre order? Rush Collectibles: We are looking to run them quarterly. @chair.Shot: If you could “redo” any WWF Hasbro figure, who would it be and why? Rush Collectibles: Kamala. @chair.Shot: Not a fan of him as a jumper? Rush Collectibles: Exactly. Why was he a jumper in the first place? Could have been cooler! @chair.Shot: Is it too early to discuss price point? Rush Collectibles: 19.99 -21.99. @chair.Shot: Without divulging any names, is there anyone on your wishlist that you simply haven’t been able to get a hold of? Rush Collectibles: That I’ll keep close to the chest. @chair.Shot: In a previous discussion you hinted at making characters from a classic NES Wrestling game. Any hints as to who we may see next in Ring Masters Series 1? Rush Collectibles: Anyone can show up at Rush. @chair.Shot: Any thoughts or plans to release any accessories or perhaps even playset pieces? Rush Collectibles: Yes………….titles. Maybe a retro style certain television title (as a hint). @chair.Shot: What is the best way for wrestling figure fans to support Rush Collectibles right now? @Chair.Shot -- I'd love to hear about the manufacturing process -- how they'll go about designing something similar to the look/feel of a Hasbro....

Really good price point as well, judging by their evaluation. I also like that they're interested in giving us the older names and that they appreciate the older WCW days. Overall, really good news, I hope they succeed.
Cheers, chairshot. 🍻

Thank you for this @chair.shot Lots of questions I had are answered! If that price point holds I’m totally in on this line, as what’s been shown already looks great!

A bunch of non-answers.
“ Plastic created in China and sold here.” That doesn’t tell us anything.

I'm curious about their projected price point, as their current mini figures seem to be going for the same price as their upcoming retros. If they can keep to that price, though, then these are gonna be pretty desirable as long as they're not super limited.
It seems likely that the names mentioned in the interview are probably locked in, well, besides Kamala, but who knows? Kamala is a possibility from one of these companies, interesting to think how he'd be posed.

You know, I wonder whether that could be Big John Studd.

You know, I wonder whether that could be Big John Studd. Fair guess. Other fun speculations: The Renegade, Tom Zenk, Barry Windham, Dick Slater, Magnum TA, Jimmy Garvin, Rhino, Kevin Von Erich, Maxx Pain, Axl Rotten, 911.

An odd choice, but I'm interested to see how it turns out! I'm happy that they're gonna be doing some lesser expected names, especially from WCW. More and more people may decide to jump on board with the retro game. The more, the merrier.

When I saw this, I was a little underwhelmed, as I thought Road Block is a super deep cut…but, thinking about other lines, is he a deeper cut than say, Big Josh or Craig Pittman? Not sure, but if the figure looks cool, I’m probably still a buyer, as I do recall seeing him on Saturday Night…

French Angel? Roadblock? Even IF these get into production they're gonna lose money and this line is done after series 1.

Roadblock what an unexpected figure. Looking at his match listing his only PPV match would have been WW3 battle royal. If Rush keeps these figures priced at $20-22 I would probably buy based on the novelty alone. The question is how much volume are these guys expecting to sell or will these be small batch ala wrestling arcade? Always good to see another retro person in the market. Really hope they start to make some of the lesser wwf names from 94-96 era and the cartoony wcw ones are fun as well
