ordered Larry, but have no interest in the others, would prefer to save my cash for the upcoming Chella WOS line as that's a personal interest, which I'd put ahead of buying jobbers from other lines

the UK exclusive is his WCW "Cruncher" gimmick attire, from the Dangerous Alliance tag team with Arn Anderson

I really like it, hence ordering that one over the generic black trunks

Ordered DA Larry and standard Roadblock….didn’t watch WCW during Roadblock’s run so don’t know much about him - but thought it was a cool looking figure so got it anyway!

The Enforcers version of Larry is the best looking fig in the line, really wanted that one, but it came to $66. shipped to the states, I just can’t justify that price for a single retro, I ordered both US Larry’s for less, I’m happy with that…

Exactly. I basically got one figure for free by simply ordering from asylum. Ordered a full wave (although I only have interest in Z and RB + the Asylum excl. variants). I don’t think I need a third color variant of not core characters, so I will skip on the UK variants although I really like them.

I’m with you guys. That Enforcers Larry is the best of 3 and maybe even should have been the standard figure…although I believe the plain black Larry might have been a hard “exclusive” to try and sell.

Black trunks Larry is probably the most accurate of the three, looks like Starrcade 97…the UK Enforcers Larry should have longer hair, and the Asylum one? Not sure I can place what they were going for, he wore maroon sometimes, but usually just with black boots!? but either way, if they’re going for an earlier look, he should have longer hair…I think a better choice would’ve been the post Dangerous Alliance look, Black and Red, and he had short hair by that point…

I wonder if it's possible to use a picture of the wrestler that isn't owned by, say WWE? I know AEW have been using the NJPW footage/pictures of Owen Hart in their promotion of the Owen Hart Cup, for instance.

I think it’s that any decent photos that exist of the wrestler in their WWF/WWE/WCW gear are owned by WWE. To use the Owen Hart example, they could potentially use a photo of Owen from Japan or Stampede etc, but it might look off it the figure is based on his pink and black WWF era. And Owen is a milder case, compared to a lot of other wrestlers who had completely different looks/gimmicks in the WWF. I don’t think Adam Bomb ever wrestled anywhere else - or if he did, finding the photographer from some random mid-90s European indie show (to clear the photo use) might be impossible. I think that, plus Mattel already “legitimising” the artist approach, just makes it more appealing to go that route.

The black version is available in the UK, I just didn't see it on the Rock and Roll Collectables page. I still haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Yeah that makes sense. I guess I was more baffled by Mattel going that route, but I get what you're saying.
