I want the Zbyszko but unfortunately there's too many other figures coming out soon that I'm prioritising.

ordered Larry, but have no interest in the others, would prefer to save my cash for the upcoming Chella WOS line as that's a personal interest, which I'd put ahead of buying jobbers from other lines

Order placed! I was a little surprised at the shipping price of $12.00 from Assylum but I still pulled the trigger. Ultimately I want with the red or maroon trunks on Larry. What ones are available for the US? ETA, just checked the UK site and it's the red and white Larry. I'm definitely interested but I'm not sure about the attire. I notice the packaging is different, looks even better imo.

I really like it, hence ordering that one over the generic black trunks

I'm unashamedly after the generic black trunks đ I've got the DA one in the cart but have yet to pull the trigger.

The Enforcers version of Larry is the best looking fig in the line, really wanted that one, but it came to $66. shipped to the states, I just canât justify that price for a single retro, I ordered both US Larryâs for less, Iâm happy with thatâŠ

I grabbed the original Zbyszko and the UK variant this morning - don't know the other two but happy to add Larry to my collection.

I basically got one figure for free by simply ordering from asylum. Ordered a full wave (although I only have interest in Z and RB + the Asylum excl. variants). I donât think I need a third color variant of not core characters, so I will skip on the UK variants although I really like them.

That Enforcers Larry is the best of 3 and maybe even should have been the standard figureâŠalthough I believe the plain black Larry might have been a hard âexclusiveâ to try and sell.

Bought the discounted 3 figure pack from Asylum. Not bad for 82 bucks shipped I think

Black trunks Larry is probably the most accurate of the three, looks like Starrcade 97âŠthe UK Enforcers Larry should have longer hair, and the Asylum one? Not sure I can place what they were going for, he wore maroon sometimes, but usually just with black boots!? but either way, if theyâre going for an earlier look, he should have longer hairâŠI think a better choice wouldâve been the post Dangerous Alliance look, Black and Red, and he had short hair by that pointâŠ

My assumption has been that they don't have the rights to publicity photos of the talent in their prime as the figures represent - I think Aldis had a real photo but everything since with Chella has been an illustration; an approach that ZST seems to have copied. Not sure why Mattel went that route with the recent bundle given they have access to the WWE photo archive, but the independent companies probably don't have much choice. I like that Rush have put a twist on it, but then I'm not going to be a completist on these so my caring isn't as strong as it would be with Chella for example. Thanks for that, I had a feeling about this being a legal thing, I've just never really known. It does seem odd that they can make a figure in the person's likeness but not present a picture of them on the card. I wonder if it's possible to use a picture of the wrestler that isn't owned by, say WWE? I know AEW have been using the NJPW footage/pictures of Owen Hart in their promotion of the Owen Hart Cup, for instance. Really good point about the Mattel retros, that is strange. I think itâs that any decent photos that exist of the wrestler in their WWF/WWE/WCW gear are owned by WWE. To use the Owen Hart example, they could potentially use a photo of Owen from Japan or Stampede etc, but it might look off it the figure is based on his pink and black WWF era. And Owen is a milder case, compared to a lot of other wrestlers who had completely different looks/gimmicks in the WWF. I donât think Adam Bomb ever wrestled anywhere else - or if he did, finding the photographer from some random mid-90s European indie show (to clear the photo use) might be impossible. I think that, plus Mattel already âlegitimisingâ the artist approach, just makes it more appealing to go that route.

I still haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I guess I was more baffled by Mattel going that route, but I get what you're saying.
