I think his timeline seems a bit unrealistic...KS starts in July, figures in hand by December...? Yeah, ok, we'll see i guess.
The protypes look great so far. That DiBiase headscan is unreal...way better than any Mattel have done.
If this ends up being a reality hope they make a Nikita Koloff.

I think he was saying kickstarter is more of a preorder so customers won’t feel leery paying an unknown company online not knowing it they are getting ripped off. The figures are set to produce regardless of KS funding. My interpretation. I could be wrong - still seems ambitious to get them before end of year

With as good as the samples are, I have PTSD that they’ll end up somewhere between ROH/Legends figures and Super7 figures. Again, I want to be wrong. Looking forward to listening to the interview later on. The pics I saw were very impressive and I’m curious how they pulled off the belts. The belts are interesting. He said in the interview that he's working with Billy, so they may explain the NWA belts. It's possible Greg still controls some of the AWA IP. The sizing looks pretty accurate to me. Some of the old school belts were absolutely tiny. There's a pic on their instagram of Vern's figure wearing the belt and the sizing matches up with photos of him wearing it.

Establish yourself in the market, give customers some safety net for wave 1, and get the product to market as fast as you can. The sculpting work is impressive. He mentioned their design guy came over from McFarlane, so I'm not shocked. Though the legs look a little awkward to me - they seem a little bow legged to me.

I agree - essentially using Kickstarter for their storefront really more do that needing the funding

This whole thing just seems too good to be true.

The AWA belts were pretty big for their time. The scaling on that looks off to me. Use their head for reference. The main plate needs to be about as big if not bigger than their face. Currently it would fit inside that reference point. http://instagram.com/p/CehugR0uJVO

It’s hard to judge, the belt is behind the figure the direction of the photo is also slightly at at angle down towards the figure and the belts at an angle so it can throw off perspective
Photos with the belts on would be much more beneficial snd how the shots are framed is key to look and perception
At the moment I’d say they do look a touch too small but really we need better framed shots

The belts are annoyingly what is what's going to make me go all in. I’m intrigued by the look of them. They look like a fixed band I presume is elasticated? I dislike the mattel style of pegs and holes because they can be really hard sometimes to get on well enough to stay on

I'd argue that no company has ever been able to nail title belts. aside from velcro, I don't even know if it's possible.

Go to the next slide and watch the video. Clear as day how undersized it is.

I'll get Kerry, Hansen, and DiBiase. Thesz and Gagne don't really fit into the rest of my collection, and the Mattel Magnum is good enough.

Kerry and Magnum I’ll get for sure if these come to fruition. Hansen and Ted possibly.

The proof is there *shrug*
Literally 360 degrees so it isn’t a matter of perspective.

I think I'll only get Hansen, Gagne, and Thesz from this first set. I'm happy enough with my Mattel Magnum, Kerry, and DiBiase.
I hope these do well, because there are tons of possible figures they could make to fill in lots of holes in our collections. It's also very nice to have a company making figures of wrestlers like Gagne and Thesz.

The AWA belt is definitely too small. However, the Thesz belt was tiny in real life so that one might be accurate.

I hope they happen. They look amazing. I’d have to get all six from the first set. All guys I’d want in the collection. Can’t wait to see renders of future releases, especially the Gorgeous George and Harley Race. Hopefully a Buddy Rogers in the future as well.
