Here's a thing -- WWE would look SO petty and horrible if they claim copyright over designs for a wrestler they basically murdered (of course, by accident -- but still). If I were Jazzwares, I would have tried to get permission from WWE and then publicized the hell out of it if they said no. It doesn't work that way. Any logos that WWE came up with for Owen is still their intellectual property. JW might be able to get away making the actual attires Owen wore during his time in WWE but don't expect any of the logos on his singlets. The fact that we've gotten this far with Owen figures now being a reality, compared to where we've been.....it's nothing short of a miracle for collectors. I think Jazwares will do their due diligence and do Owen proud with some amazing pieces for us to collect. As I’ve said previously, the ownership of logos by WWE was not a widespread thing until after WCW went under, so we don’t really know if they have a claim to Owen’s gear or not

I dont think WWE can claim copywright on anything like that plus the Hart logo belongs to Bret, so as long as he OK'd that, it'd be fine.

Would really be cool if we got all members of Hart Foundation 97 this year, but that would require Brian Pillman who mattel lost the rights to, at least we get Owen, Bret and Davey this year

My money is on them playing it safe initially with NJPW attires before testing the waters with some WWF gear.

Attires are similar with the stars on the trunks and lightning bolts on the legs but I believe in Stampede he didn’t wear a top but in Japan he did. Also he had a red and white Canadian attire he wore when he wrestled Liger.

Great news to hear. Are legends going to sprinkled throughout the line or are they getting their own respective sub line?

Great news to hear. Are legends going to sprinkled throughout the line or are they getting their own respective sub line? As of now, the Luminaries are in every even-numbered Unmatched series. Released/announced so far: Sting in Unmatched Series 2, Corazón de León Chris Jericho in Unmatched Series 4, and Owen Hart in Unmatched Series 6. I would imagine that larger Legends presence is inevitable down the line. Sidenote question: In your signature photo, who is it that has DDP in a headlock? I'm completely blanking even though I'm sure it's someone totally obvious.

Does it just mean retro talent (that could be made into flashbacks?) or just strictly flashback attires. Also, what attire is the Jericho in trunks in? It’s Rick Rude. WCW was my favorite growing up and I have small shelf dedicated to them.

RE: Sting, apparently putting the modern Sting in the Luminaries branding was just way to launch the Luminaries name with the biggest possible figure. Jericho is in his Mexico attire from the early 90s. Cool on Rude! I didn't;t think of him as I thought thy were all late 90s era.

WCW was my favorite growing up and I have small shelf dedicated to them. I think they're interpreting it pretty liberally. Sting was clearly a modern figure. Jericho and Owen will be flashbacks. I'd imagine they're at least trying to sell retailers on a standalone legends line. They have a pretty strong in house roster. But I don't know that a third product at retail is going to happen.

Just thought of this, but I swear on everything if they make one of these Owens a chase or rare 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Would literally be a scumbag move knowing how many people have been clamoring for an Owen figure for all these years
