Remember when releasing too many Hogans and Cenas and Romans killed the WWF and WWE toy lines?? Because "no one" wanted them?? AEW is dead everybody!
This is totally different. In the first 4 waves, they've already released 4 of the figures. Did WWE do that in its first elite offerings? No way
It's not like releasing the top guys through multiple waves is a new concept. Hasbro had Hogan, Warrior and Savage in the first three waves. Toybiz almost always had some combo of Sting, Nash, Goldberg and Hogan in every series. Jakks got to the point where almost every series had some combo of Rock, Austin and Taker. Mattel in recent times got slammed for the overload of AJ and Seth Rollins figures. If you look at the basic line, especially at the start, I'm willing to bet you'll find more John Cena figures than you'd probably have liked. He had two of them out on day one, WM Heritage and Basic 1. You always want to have your top guys on the shelves because not everyone starts collecting a line with the first wave and even the ones that do will most likely buy multiple attires as long as you don't oversaturate the market (and they aren't---only one of the Cody figures and one of the Kenny figures are actually available at retail and aren't limited variants or exclusives), as we've learned from literally the last 30 years of wrestling figure lines. |

There's been at least one Ringside exclusive around/between waves so far. Bubbly Jericho before Unrivaled 1, plus the ASR with Omega around then, and Blood Brothers between Unrivaled 2 and 3. Will there be another exclusive between Unrivaled 3 and 4?
Hangman with a beer and a tag belt could make a great exclusive. And if they continue with Blood & Guts as a subset, I hope we get Britt Baker with a bloody mouth from that episode of Dynamite.
But also to keep this a discussion about Unrivaled 4 let me just say I hope pre-orders go up soon.

Why for the love of god do they keep releasing Cody and Kenny like I get they’re presidents of AEW but like can we just let them be for a while, this is how you KILL a line by rereleasing figures no one wants like where’s BRITT, Shida, Jungle boy, Kong or heck even kip and Penelope??? If you think more people would buy Kip  ing Sabian over a repaint of Kenny Omega, the current AEW World Champion, or Cody Rhodes, you've hit some weird ass level of delusional thinking I never even knew existed. Well, maybe most people wouldn't. I certainly would, given that firstly, Sabian has a sleeve of ink - which instantly makes it a more appealing and better looking figure regardless... and secondly, he's English. |

As long as this Kenny looks more like himself and less like Cat Stevens I'll be satisfied. Either way, definitely Santana, Ortiz, and Sammy at least. I'd have to see the Cody and Kenny before I decide on those.

Might just be me, but I'm not holding my breath for those. Jeremy talked about a running change for Kenny's hair and no updated skin tones, but we haven't seen the running change. Then he said they'd update the skin tones, but it's been a while now since that claim too. At this point I'd rather just move on from Unrivaled 1, we're getting new figures of most people from that set already anyway. Not that I wouldn't buy an updated first series, if they do get released. |

They're going to be online only, so it shouldn't impact retail distribution. |

OH MANNN, Inner Circle will now almost be complete. Just need Wardlow and Hager!!! Too Sweeeettt I hope its not this Kenny, i hated these tights, and he wore them forever. [pretty sure he ripped them on one ppv and had them sewed together so he can keep wearing it]  i hated that jacket with the one sleeve on his first figure lol |

I thought they were like snake eyes or something, but its so offputting, idk what it is about them, they are so bad. I usually like tech metal type designs, but those yellow balls just kill it for me lol

If that's the Kenny attire I'm 100% gonna do a repaint and change him into an old Dominion attire. Nice thing about being a customizer is I can justify ordering these blind knowing if I hate the attire or head they can be repainted or start my fodder pile for jazwares

It's a fair point -- but also remember that Hasbro was releasing maybe 1-2 waves a year. Jazzwares is hoping to be releasing a wave of 6 every month -- or at least every other month. Honestly, I think the Santana and Ortiz and Matt Hardy are the big mistakes in this set -- but I guess we'll see how sales are...

Matt looks to be sculpted and that makes sense with the pandemic. Apparently pac was a sculpt as well as opposed to a scan.

Well looks like it is indeed that attire for Omega but looks pretty good at least. Awesome that Santana is coming with the Puerto Rican flag and an extra head even if it doesn’t look any different I guess?

Kenny looks good if you need him, Santana looks great, Hardy looks fine but the Wrestlemania elite def looks better so it’s up to you if you feel you need it.
