Kenny does look good. I actually like this attire and think it turned out really nice. I do wish he came with a Tag Team title. This scan and hair look better than series 1, so I may try to get a second to swap onto the series 1 lower half.
Santana looks good too. It's cool he's coming with a Puerto Rico flag. It's nice to add a new tag team to the ranks. Can't wait to see Ortiz.
Hardy looks about like I thought. Glad I didn't preorder him.
Hope to see the rest of the series soon.

Santana/Ortiz and Sammy G are still definite purchases for me.
With the Matt attire being what it is, I'll await the official proto's to decide - I don't mind that attire, but would have preferred the Red attire and entrance coat.

I hate that attire but Omega looks absolutely beautiful in figure form. The scan look amazing. I can’t imagine how sick he’s gonna look with the new skin tone. Now we just need his White attire from when he wrestled PAC

Kenny has a properly sculpted left hand to do the BANG pose. The gold on the tights makes them look incredible too rather than the faded mess we usually saw on Dynamite. Can't wait for that figure!

I did think that it looks like there is a red jacket in the box also, but though it might be the light. Think either way I'm waiting on the official protos and news on chase figures etc. I'll probably end up picking it up anyway  |

It's not like releasing the top guys through multiple waves is a new concept. Hasbro had Hogan, Warrior and Savage in the first three waves. Toybiz almost always had some combo of Sting, Nash, Goldberg and Hogan in every series. Jakks got to the point where almost every series had some combo of Rock, Austin and Taker. Mattel in recent times got slammed for the overload of AJ and Seth Rollins figures. If you look at the basic line, especially at the start, I'm willing to bet you'll find more John Cena figures than you'd probably have liked. He had two of them out on day one, WM Heritage and Basic 1. You always want to have your top guys on the shelves because not everyone starts collecting a line with the first wave and even the ones that do will most likely buy multiple attires as long as you don't oversaturate the market (and they aren't---only one of the Cody figures and one of the Kenny figures are actually available at retail and aren't limited variants or exclusives), as we've learned from literally the last 30 years of wrestling figure lines. It's a fair point -- but also remember that Hasbro was releasing maybe 1-2 waves a year. Jazzwares is hoping to be releasing a wave of 6 every month -- or at least every other month. Honestly, I think the Santana and Ortiz and Matt Hardy are the big mistakes in this set -- but I guess we'll see how sales are...
I can kind of see the logic with Matt since his WWE figures are still on shelves, but you lost me at Santana and Ortiz. They've been a presented as a huge deal in AEW/part of all the major Inner Circle stuff since the first Dynamite. I think it makes a lot of sense for them to be getting figures here. |
