Thats not a bad idea. But your collection of USA gear figures only scratches the surface. Weve also had American Made Hulk Hogan Retrofest Macho Man Randy Savage Royal Rumble 1991 Ultimate Warrior Made in the USA Lex Luger E59 Kurt Angle E59 Jason Jordan E59 Chad Gable Legends Sgt Slaughter Wrestlemania XXVI? Jack Swagger Wrestlemania XXVII John Cena Fan Central Big Show To be fair, Angle & Swagger made sense. But it does get annoying seeing so much of it on other people It was kind of $u$pect how E59 had 4 guys in USA flag attires.

I wish they would have dropped a Kona Crush instead of The Demolition attire. It was great, but I’d prefer this version. This would be a great figure for Mattel to release as a Chase in an upcoming line. Preferably the purple/yellow suit with brown hair as the standard, and the chase version with orange suit and the bleached hair.
The Elite 30 Lex was another strange one. The haircut was way off.

It should be pretty obvious by now, that Mattel doesn't cater to us on here. You know that the choice for some attires, is solely based on whether Bill himself, is a fan of that particular look - and some won't get made at all if he's not. While true, this is one thing I miss about Jeremy. He reached out to fans for their opinions on attire choices. Bill just makes his fantasy attire, whether they look good or not. Jeremy.com was a fantastic site/blog for the time.

The only attire choices that I scratch my head on were...
Snuka not being barefoot and in trunks. Even though they wanted something different than what Jakks gave us we could have gotten him barefoot in plain black trunks with and entrance wrap and jacket and it would have still been different from Jakks and still in an attire he wore more than what we got.
Hogan the Target HOF figure should have been Hollywood instead of the red tights.
And although I wouldn’t buy them regardless of the attires they are wearing New Day should have been pink and baby blue.

I always find it weird when people bring up American Made Hogan in threads like this, as if Hollywood or Hulk Still Rules would have been an RSC exclusive instead. That look didn’t “take” a spot from an iconic Hogan, because an iconic Hogan look wasn’t going to be a niche site exclusive. It was basically a bonus look. Stop with the common sense. This is not a thread for reality. This is a thread for REEEEEEEEEEing.

Bill loves his USA flag attires So I've noticed. It's... a bit troubling actually. I'm all for civic pride and all, but having All American Elites of Zack Ryder, Jeff Hardy, The New Day, Sting, and pretty much all the ones got? I'm almost surprised they haven't made the Lex Express as a custom vehicle by now. I mean...GAB Sting is one of his most iconic attires. That one had to be made at some point. The others? Yeah...probably not.

Hogan the Target HOF figure should have been Hollywood instead of the red tights. Personally I'm glad it wasn't. As a collector outside of the US, it would have meant completely missing out on a much anticipated attire.

Yeah...probably not. I agree 100% about the GAB Sting. Plus that was one of the few DM figures that actually lived up to the “Defining Moments” name as it was a DM in his career. I also think the ‘91 Royal Rumble Warrior was a figure that needed to be made.

The fact that we got Shield Kurt before ECW Kurt is a crime against humanity.

No one was asking for this figure and there were still better Tenta figures to do like Canadian Earthquake. Heck, I woulda preferred Golga over Shark. *And the TNF Bam Bam was attire he barely wore and probably more memorable for being on the Hasbro than anything. Purple flames or 87 attire were much more iconic. **All Stars Savage May be the biggest scratcher. Why do a fantasy or extremely obscure attire for a guy who until recently hasn’t had a figure in over a decade with countless iconic looks to choose from? ***And DoD Natalya is a figure literally no one was asking for.

I'm just sitting here I guess in shame because I'm a total whore for USA attires too.

Both WWE and Mattel know that legends signings are on borrowed time either due to contract issues or unbecoming behavior, health reasons, etc. To say Mattel didn't know some of the contracts would end sooner than expected is completely ridiculous. I understand Mattel wants to maximize unit sales by front-loading some b-list appearances to spread out the iconic looks - but that's a risky game to play and takes advantage of fan loyalty ("they'll buy anything we produce") while also doubting it too ("they wouldn't buy modern Hogan after nWo). And yet...Jakks released Hulk's most iconic looks in the same exact series and produced a whole ton more Hogans after too. So it's not impossible and it's arguably not even a "best practice" to wait on producing such iconic looks. The truth is "Clint from Hershey" aka Bill would choose all of his personal looks back when he was in charge. Thank goodness things have changed a little bit..

I would’ve accepted that as the reason. I’m pretty sure Bill admitted somewhere that he just thought it looked cool so he went with green trunks with blue knee pads.

Shield Angle was supposed to be a TRU exclusive. And honestly all non-US collectors would be up in arms if they made a limited store exclusive of a highly requested attire instead of making it a mass retail figure that every retailer would carry.

I’m still upset that we never got Elites of The Hardy Boyz in their Mania X7 attires. Elites of Matt and Jeff from that era with removable mesh shirts would’ve been amazing.
I’m also a bit disappointed we never got Billy Gunn with short hair (preferably from when he was “The One” or the 2003 return look).

And I think the Retrofest Macho was around that time as well. It was absolutely overkill. Especially when New Day and Ryder were kind of goofy one-off attires, yet they never got Elites of their primary gear. I'd love to know the logic behind making Elites of New Day in the red/white/blue and orange/blue gear, yet completely skipping any of the equally colorful and more iconic gear that they've worn over the past...5? years.
