Another poor 1st run attire pick, Ken Shamrock. Blue trunks Ken should’ve been 1st.

A lot of missed opportunities for sure.
Never got a proper 1998 DDP with serious sculpt, taped ribs and diamond hands.
Never got a ECW Kurt Angle in black singlet. But every worthless iteration of Kurt. Milk-a-mania I guess was worth the $8 just for the elite parts.
I’m still owed that elite Hideo Itami.

Hollywood Hulk Hogan Dudley Boyz Kurt Angle Snuka 2001ish Hardy Boyz This keeps happening over and over again. Even if we give them a pass on the Dudleyz there’s still other examples. Mattel have got to start doing iconic looks first and not Shield Angle or American Made Hogan or WM35 Angle or Snuka in boots (although I don’t want a Snuka now it’s still an example) I still want the Snuka.

You must be new. Or be very unaware of your surroundings.
We've been doing this for YEARS.

Another poor 1st run attire pick, Ken Shamrock. Blue trunks Ken should’ve been 1st. Interesting. I feel like Shamrock is a bit of a borderline one. To me, the red look of 97/early 98 is way more iconic than the later blue of late 98/99, and I agree with it being done first. That said, it's a crime that the blue wasn't pumped out afterwards.

Idk how I feel. Part of me wants figures of Benoit and Snuka and part of me also wants nothing to do with murderers Well in Snuka’s case it was never proved one way or the other. If he did it the PD totally botched the investigation and getting justice for Nancy. (Odd I just realized both women were named Nancy) And if he didn’t do it they totally botched that also. Either way the PD didn’t do their job. And with the judge dismissing the charges because of his mental capacity when it was reopened 40 years later we will never know the truth with 100% certainty. So seeing I wasn’t there and I don’t know for certain, but I do know the happy memories I have of watching him with my father on many occasions I would still buy his figures for that reason alone.

Why are people crying about Kurt Angle figures yes Shield attire Kurt is trash so does network spotlight but they really gave us good Kurt angle figures like elite 59 and elite 66.. But still I will be missing a 2000- 2001 Kurt Angle.

Attire selection has always been an issue, and there are countless examples, some more extreme than others. How did we never get a WCW Jericho? Until he came back, why was the only Elite FB Rey Mysterio in the most bland attire possible, while he had a few colorful basics. Heck, why did we never get New Day Elites in their pink/baby blue gear that was their go-to for ages.
There are some painfully glaring omissions. And there's no question that many of them were avoidable.

Pretty sure that a blue Ken basic was supposed to be in a second series of Network Spotlight basics that never happened. I could have seen it find a new spot in the FB basic BAF series, but then that got canned as well. And now they don't want to make basics of Legends, so... Maybe it's just a "grass is greener on the other side" situation, but I feel like some of the figures we never got are way more appealing to me than anything that does get released.

If I remember correctly, there was a thread way before the elite Shamrock was announced and most voted for Blue Shamrock with the intercontinental title. I do prefer blue Shamrock but red trunks Shamrock was in great fueds with HBK, The Rock, Vader and Bret Hart.

I don't know what you guys are talking about? Are you trying to tell me these Stings are not two of the most iconic and requested Sting attires ever? Beach Blast '92, Starrcade '92, Super Brawl III, who needs those? We have these... And even though the Elite 62 Sting figure looks good, it's still a poor attire choice.

The fact that they gave us Shield Kurt Angle over ECW Kurt Angle says it all. They don't give a damn what we want. Can't believe that Shield Angle was a thing... A RSC Exclusive too, for a RSC Exclusive price. Shield Angle was a TRU exclusive that RSC picked up. It didn’t take a regular RSC spot but just gave them an extra one for the year. And I don’t think it was the normal $26 starting point for a RSE. Pretty sure it was closer to $20. And I get the reasoning. It was Kurt’s first match back in the WWE. It was an iconic moment and Shield figures typically sell well. Problem was by the time it came out it wasn’t remembered as fondly because of how illness and injuries killed the Shield reunion and Angle was wrestling more regularly in normal wrestling attire.

I love that basic figure from the 2-Pack with the Undertaker. It’s probably my favorite of the basic surfer Sting’s released to date. If the Starrcade’90 figure was the correct height that would have been. But because of the scale being off compared to all other Surfer Sting figures the white attire gets the nod. But we need the BeachBlast 92 attires as well as an elite version of the Starrcade’90.

I appreciate the work Mattel does. They don’t make these choices because they don’t want to release them, it’s a business model. Ideally you can release an entire line of Hogan’s and be done, but you have to space them out to make more profits. I’m sure that was the plan. Look how many Jeff Hardy’s they’ve made and are still going to make. It’s not fair to complain about certain attires not being made, it’s not like they did it on purpose.
