Yeah but it’s not really inaccurate. It was always a 94 anvil but now it has a jacket. Don’t want the jacket on him, take it off. I personally am happy to have the jacket included.

I’m thinking if they were gonna do a jacket that didn’t match the attire then they probably shoulda done this one considering Natty is also in the series. You can keep it on him or put it on her. Or if you have the E43 figure then it will work with that.

Yeah, I have no luck. I've only found Pete Dunne and the lame Rock, nobody else.

If a store only puts out one case and the exclusives go immediately, maybe never even make their way to the shelves, I just don't know how or where or when I'm supposed to get them.

It almost makes you wonder if this was meant to be a '94 version with an added jacket to keep the '97 Hart Foundation fans happy or if they simply went with the more obscure attire from his '97 run?

I think this is exactly what it was meant to be- when the figure was first unveiled at SDCC there was no jacket.  The jacket was added either to appease those that want a '97 Hart Foundation Anvil or it was added as a marketing gimmick to get more people to buy the figure. Without the jacket, it appeals to only Anvil fans and fans of the era that its from but with the jacket you also bring in attitude era fans who want a '97 Hart Foundation Anvil figure.

IMO exclusives should have their own case. Unfortunately thats not how it works. I've been lucky to run into every exclusive a couple of times so I'm always willing to help as long as you don't ghost on me when I find what you're looking for.

The majority of consumers don’t care if it’s accurate to a match or time.
Sure it’s an exclusive, buts it’s a damn good figure either way.

Don’t like the attire, keep the jacket closed.

Well if anybody could help me out with Liv and Sonya it would be great. I was actually hoping to get 2 Livs, one to give my brother for his birthday (he always tells me he loves her, she actually reminds me of his daughter), but I almost bought a Fart Ninja at Target today instead.

Although I'm not personally bothered by this, I can absolutely understand wanting a particular look, especially if it's an iconic look as part of a particular team or time period. I'm definitely one to nitpick a figure that is a massive want for me, so I have no issue with the nitpick, and I find it more annoying when people Google one single obscure instance of someone technically wearing an attire at the very beginning of a big run, prior to the galvanization of the look, as an argument against the person nitpicking.

Examples: 2 in one Andre - I HATED that figure. The young version was a major want, but they half-assed it by giving him a crappy wig and black boots and a stern face (despite the fact that young Andre was always smiling and usually wore blue or red boots with the blue trunks). Cue someone presenting a one-off photo from 1971 in Japan where he happened to be wearing black boots with blue trunks. Like that's supposed to make it ok. Today they could actually get away with that by adding a second head and a second pair of boots.

Hollywood Hogan proto - black Hulkster weight belt from his brief "dark" run in 1995. He was seen wearing it one time as Hollywood in his very first nWo photoshoot in Fall of 1996 (where he was wearing an airbrushed terminator skull nWo shirt btw) - a far cry from the iconic Hollywood looks of 1997-1999.

May 17, 1997, Neidhart wore this outfit against Marty Garner, including the anvil logo on the singlet.

He may not have worn those tights with the jacket, but he did wear those tights as a member of the 1997 Hart Foundation.
