True I don’t, I have not seen enough evidence for me to warrant dropping the price attached to the NJPW super 7s, plus I am UK based and with shipping I end up paying double. I have watched and read enough reviews and feedback form content providers as I means to obtain enough information to make a judgement on if I should pick these up and to be honest I am 80% no, and I don’t believe “they are better in hand” is enough assurance. But I guess in your view that means I am not allowed to have an opinion. Speaking of which if you own the figures great, offer input rather than just leaving a smart ass comment. So platform is yours dude, drop a review in your opinion with what your thoughts are on the line. i have 3 of the 4 as i have no interest in osprey, in all honesty they are ok, as people say better in hand which is purely because of the first lot of ringside picks. But other than that there pretty much what you see on every other pic of them, are they worth the money? No not really the articulation is fine to me, the soft goods are the best you will probably ever get on a 6/7" wrestling figure, the belts are OK i find the plates a little on the small side and the painting colour is odd they definitely need looking at, they scale pretty much perfect with elites okada slightly too small nothing major. Tanahashi is the best of the 3 i have ishii second Ps if you ever do decide to purchase i would purchase from ringside using discount code and the fedex international priority as if ordering more than one it will work out a few £ cheaper than ordering from a UK dealer Very detailed and honest dude and appreciate the insight to the line, can I say a personal thank you on the shipping recommendations because this is something that does prove very costly at times. If these are ever discounted I maybe a player but at current cost I can’t justify it. Again thanks man that review was simple, honest and to the point. If I could also ask, going forward ,with how this first set panned out would you pre order series 2 or would you want to see final pics first, I ask because I am curious to know in this day and age does that “first pic” release impact sales going forward, a lot of people’s orders were already shipped when the pics of these came out and could not cancel. So as said I am curious to know how would you approach going forward. Thanks

Thanks I havent pre ordered them yet but i most likely will in the next couple of weeks purely because its most likely the only chance we will ever get official articulated figures of these which is a main reason i ordered the first 3 of series 1 to be honest

I have had the same reaction from Super7 fans on other forums regarding their He-Man andThundercats figures. Those figures have had a lot of faults yet any criticism is invalid if you don't own the figures. The whole point of reviews is so that you can make your own opinion on the product and decide if you want to buy it. I hear you man, it is quite a sad reaction to have, there is a lot of material out there already on the NJPW stuff and I am sure the same can be said for He-Man and you can certainly form an opinion based on that. It seems to be the go to response, that and “but they are better in hand” which I think is a nonsense comment to stand behind, why can’t they be good in photos, in videos, and in hand? Two things come to mind, people trying to control the narrative, and two, people trying to justify the income spent on a less than product to what is out there for half the price. But that’s collecting and people are free to collect whatever they want. Thanks dude, it’s good insight to the Super 7 community. A lot of "reviewers" have a motive with their reviews especially when they are gettign products for free to "review." For all the complaints of the NJPW it is nowhere near the amount of issues with their MOTU and Thundercats figures. It's a shame alot of Super7 fans would rather attack fans for pointing out faults with their products. Hopefully Super7 can improve their quality control on future waves as Brain seems a cool guy and even though their products are over priced and honestly not up to the standard of WWE or AEW figures their are some nice things about the NJPW figures. I am thinking of getting the Super7 Andre figure.

Very true, and actually something I really appreciate about this forum is that for the most part people are honest on their reviews and I am always opened to having my own opinions challenged, I learn more for the members on this board that from YouTube or podcast because the opinions have not been tainted. You have hit the nail on the head, with regards to influencers I personally believe due to the fact they get the product free it’s their duty to review in a positive light in order to receive future product and the wheel keeps turning and they and the toy companies benefit one another. Sadly it’s just the way the world is currently. But I strongly believe the biggest thing missing from influencers reviews is the simple question “would I have paid for this if I was not sent it yes/no” I would respect that more.

I'm sorry, but unless you have them, the ONLY thing YOU can "review" is how they look in photos. That's it. If you don't like the photos ... cool.
Almost every person that has received them has said they are better than the photos, and pretty much all like the line. I, as a consumer, would much rather trust people that own them (and by that, I mean regular people ... not guys with a podcast) than people who have only seen photos.

Honestly, I feel like these were worth the wait. Of course everyone was up in arms at those initial photos, but they really didn't do these figures justice in the least. And if you plan on keeping these things in the box, then I think you're golden. I have a collection that's loose and MOC(mostly loose) and was planning on displaying these loose as some figures just "come to life" out of the package, but the boxes these come in are a work of art in their own right. Plus, watching Brian Myers unboxing Ospreay and the belt breaking immediately has made me wary. I'm sure there's some quality control issues as with any line(i.e. the latest AEW Jazware's). I might get duplicates to display loose if my wallet allows. But all in all, even with the somewhat hefty price tag, these figures are honestly fantastic. Maybe it's just because I've been wanting decent NJPW figures for so long, but I love these, and I can't wait for series 2. And here's to hoping Super 7 fixes any issues going forward, as there's so many intriguing possibilities with this line.

Anyone have a good way to keep the belts on someone after taking them off the first time? The clasps don't really work and I don't want to ruin them.

I finally got all of the "black soot" off of Okada. Looks great! Might dry brush some blonde on the hair next.
Thinking of doing the same to Ospreay for the pink soot, lol.

From the photos, the only place it seems to be really bad is the neck and lower jaw. My Okada hasn't been delivered, yet. Thanks!

I really hope for more sets/waves, I would like to have SANADA, Shingo Takagi, El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki, Tama Tonga and even Great-O-Khan as action figures.
Super7 I hope you're reading this 😭

I emailed them to see what the status of shipping to people who ordered from them directly. I got this back:
"We are waiting for the okay to get the figures from port. We expect to begin shipping this week. You will receive an email with your tracking info once it has gone out."
I have to admit, online stores in the UK shipping them this week before the company themselves has them is frustrating.

This will be corrected with series 2, as Brian Flynn said other retailers will all ship same time as them, like all their other lines. Series 1 was an exception.

Super frustrating. I immediately regretted ordering these from Super 7 once I saw them go up on Ringside ... back in 2019 ...
I know Brian Flynn has said this will be corrected in the future, but I'll still be going through Ringside to get the discount.

Okada and Ospreay just arrived today from a UK retailer, these figures are so much better in hand than in pics, obviously not without their faults but I'd say grab them if you're on the fence over it! Something I did notice though is both Okada and Ospreay have 2021 stamped on their feet, so did they not even go into actual production until this year?
