Yeah it looks off to me but I think its mainly the solid paint throwing us off. If it was a more pale gold I think it will look a lot better. And the world map behind IWGP is inaccurate if we are nitpicking. |

Purchased some custom made IWGP belts after being spooked by the belts in the few previews we got. The colors on the Heavyweight belt stand way too much in contrast with each other in images.

Only ordered Okada, here is a shot of the IWGP Heavyweight Title  The gold is definitely too yellow. There shouldn't be that much of a contrast between the gold and silver. |

I won't be receiving all four of my figures till Tuesday/ Wensday of this upcoming week so I will wait to judge these figures in hand. But I will say that the one thing I did look forward to the most were the belts and while they don't look bad I kind of wish that Super7 will think about making these belts with a VAC finish to them. I think it would look so much better like that than painted gold imo and would look more uniform with the rest of the championships from the WWE and AEW lines. AlexWestCollects I watched your review earlier today great review and thanks for a more in-depth look at the figures and accessories. Sucks that your IC championship broke and hope you can sort that out with Super7. Also I hope the IC championship coming with Naito isn't painted white and is molded in white rubber. |

I’m in the same camp in that when I saw the first pics I was in shock and almost cancelled my order. But after seeing more and more pics they look better, I hoped for more and expected them to look better than they do but I think they still look good enough. There’s a lot of complaints about the price but that’s because it’s a made to order niche product. Mattel prices are lower because they are made at a much larger scale and have less accessories, with more production they can charge less. With all the complaints about scale (far from perfect) makes me think those people wouldn’t survive the jakks years 😂 I’m excited for mine to arrive, overall I wish they were better but I’m just happy to have solid figures of NJPW wrestlers, and hope the line continues so we can see the likes of Jay White and Kota Ibushi
Hope you post your review after getting them (and tag me so I don't miss it!)

Here's another angle with alternate lighting -  Def not perfect but nice to finally have options for high quality IWGP belts available. To bad they're anchored to $50 subpar figures...  With this lighting it's no even bad, but I wish they used the Mattel "WCW Big Gold Belt" shiny gold/yellow into it. I guess I'm gonna try to repaint it 🤔 |

Damn, that is a shame about the IC Championship. Thanks for the heads up on that.. maybe I will just keep it on him. Either that or I will try and heat it up first. Either way, I hope the Tetsuya Naito figure fixes that issue.

I think the value will hold up pretty well as they will be a limited run

Excited to get them in hand and see how they are but happy enough with how they will display but want to see how they play

Takaahashi looks to have that same terribly long torso as ospreay. If thats the case thats a definite no. Will wait to see series 2 final reviews and will never order directly again. Lesson learned.

Picked up Tanahashi and I love him! I heated up the belt before removing it (not a great idea to paint the belt but it does have that pearlescent color to it). The scale, articulation, accessories and likeness are great. I think he’s personally the best of the bunch and I’m leaning on getting Okada now.

This is nothing that hasn’t been said already; I’m just expressing my growing frustration: My shipping update was from Super7 (didn’t know until later that they would be available on RSC for a lower price). Two weeks. It has been two weeks since Super7 sent out that “shipping soon” email. Not a word from them. RSC getting their shipments in is somewhat understandable but continues to be frustrating for those of us that ordered directly through Super7. The lateness of the figures, lack of updates, nonexistent communication with their customers and the questionable quality of these figures makes it more frustrating. |
