I was really disappointed to see the pics that came out but the Twitch Stream really helped showcase them a little better. Ospreay looks to be the weakest out of them.

Watched the unboxing but the guy from Super7 made it painful to listen to.

The look much better than the RSC pictures but yeah, still not great. No clue what’s the deal with their photographer. Anywho, it looked like one or two of the belts for the figures they opened were damaged and it sounded like either the boots or ankles didn’t have articulation. It was odd to me that Ishii’s shirt had no velcro anywhere and you had to take it off like a doll. Didn’t seem like the figures were in scale with each other either.

I really wish Okada’s face was better. He’s the only one I’d consider keeping but it looks so cartoonish.

My thoughts after watching the stream:

-Osprey looks terrible. The whole body is out of whack, and the skin-tone shading doesn't work.
-Iishi looks slightly better than the photos, but I'm still not a fan. I don't like the shirt.
-Okada looks okay. Personally, I think the jacket is too bulky and doll-clothes-esque.
-Tanahashi is the best of the figures by far. Also, the "giraffe neck" issue is a case of dumb photography. The figure has two heads: One of which has the hair falling all the way to the shoulders (teeth showing), the other (no teeth) has the hair higher up so that it fits correctly over the jacket. RSC's photo seems to have had the shorter hair jacket head on the figure bare-chested, hence the elongated neck look.

Overall, they don't look anywhere close to as bad as the RSC photos made them look, but Tanahashi is the only one I'd even consider getting.

The general consensus of the pod seemed to be that Osprey was bad, Tana was the best, and Okada and Ishii were better than the photos.

The podcast is in bed with super 7. Did you really think theyd join in on everyone elses opinions? Ospreay is a giant and looks nothing like him. Ishii is way too tall as well. Ishii is a shorttt guy. With no wrist tape and conveniently, they never mentioned the itty bitty toothpick wrists. All the c grip hands have unpainted tape, so everyone will look silly holding their accessories. Okada looks like a cartoon with a bad tan and hes way too short. Tana is probably the best of the bunch. They all look good in box because theyre covered with entrance gear. The fact that the value may raise on the secondary market doesnt make them acceptable, thats a silly argument. The belts all lack that shine were used to and look like bad customs that clearly break too easy. I paid a small fortune for premium. We didn't get premium. End of story.

They don't look great in the pictures. If they cost less the expectations people had would have been lower.

Not happy that I paid for these without seeing a final product and not happy these were shipped before final products were shown to us.
I really hope these are better when I have them in hand.
I'm glad I put off ordering series 2 until I had the 1st.

As someone who was beyond concerned by the original photos, the latest photos from Brian Flynn are night and day. I've gone from hating them to actually thinking they might be pretty good.

On the one hand, this definitely looks like damage control from Super 7. But in the other, the figures look much better (still not big on Iishi or Osprey though) but between this, the livestream, Myers pics, and even the second set of RSC pics, I’d definitely looking like these are much better than the first pics suggested. Very curious to see in-hand photos as shipments begin to arrive.

Considering we went into a global pandemic months after they went on sale and everyone complaining they were taking to long I’m not surprised with the quality.

It takes roughly 8 months to a year for a figure to be made they can’t make them over night and with a Global Pandemic obviously it was gonna take longer.

I think RSC AND SUPER7 was fed up with the complaints and just shipped them unfinished.

You all will complain now about the figures but be the same ones in about a year or 2 regretting that you got rid of them.


Yeah the price was bad for the quality. I’d rather have an official figure than a custom one though so I’m happy

Even with the new pics Okadas likeness is completely off. It looks like an anime character version of Okada.

Brian's pictures do look better...I like the 2nd Okada head. Still a shame about Tana's neck, which also makes him way too tall.
