When she named Obi Wan Katnobi I asked her if that was the guys real name and she laughed at me. When she named Darth Sideous I told her I thought the guys name was Darth Vader and she laughed at me. When I asked her if Anikat Skywalker was named after Luke Skywalker............... She laughed at me. It's okay though. She's a DC Comics fan so I made sure I named our dog Peter Parker. |

The air of menace in that last episode of the Bad Batch was palpable.....it ain't gonna end well for everyone. Man, this show is fantastic. I managed to get caught up with it and im blew away by it. You are absolutely correct about the air of menace, not even with the last episode but theres been a few and I love the music at the end of those episodes, like you said this has a feeling it isnt going to end well, it is so emotional, just a brilliant show. Cross Hair is becoming my fave character, this show is on par with Clone Wars. I just hope the dog or whatever it is doesnt get killed! Id like to see it get reunited with Omega but something tells me this is going to be really sad. |

Bad Batch Finale was excellent but Tales of The Empire was too f#ckin short.
Particularly the Inquisitor eps. Morgan stuff was pretty good & I liked how it fleshed her(& the nightsisters) out.

Bad Batch Finale was excellent but Tales of The Empire was too f#ckin short. Particularly the Inquisitor eps. Morgan stuff was pretty good & I liked how it fleshed her(& the nightsisters) out. I was so pleased that none of the Bad Batch got killed in the final episode, I had a bad feeling that you touched on in your earlier post. Loved the ending when we seen an older Hunter and Omega setting out on her own. Great show overall. Havent watched Tales of the Jedi yet. Im busy catching up on The Book of Boba Fett and then onto the final season of Mando. |

Took in the 1st 2 eps of the Acolyte. I enjoyed it and I like that it still feels very SW with us being in a very different place we haven't experienced before. Agree with most reviewers about that aspect.

I've been watching The Acolyte and I'm a couple episodes behind I think, not sure how many are out, but holy absolute hell, I do not get the criticisms for it. Yes the witch chant in the 3rd episode was perhaps one of the stupidest things I've ever heard or seen in a universe that includes Babu Frik, 'somehow Palpatine returned' and Jar Jar Binks (that is saying a lot, obviously) but I have found the idea and overall show pretty much classic 'prequel-style' Star Wars.
They're doing their homework with the visuals and the considerations for lore. I don't find anything forced or 'agenda' based with the characters...they all seem like what they usually seem like to me in the movies and shows.
I also enjoyed Russian Doll on Netflix (as a person who rarely watches TV shows) so I am good with the director and her choices.
Overall I'm enjoying Acolyte in general but it's nothing really revolutionary. I can't help but think if there had been no sequels ever made and Star Wars took a serious pause after Episode III and then almost 20 years later THIS came out, I would have been blown away by it and I think most people would have a different opinion (barring their need to interject and complain about agendas and politics, of course).

This fad of "hate watching" spurred on by Mr H & these other clowns on YouTube needs to just stop. Hate culture is just so big...its an effin juggernaut.

Skeleton Crew trailers so far have done very little for me. I will 100% watch but Im kind of getting a "whya re they doing this vibe" unless it ties into the post ROTJ story some way?
