I'm enjoying the hell out of the ISB in this show. Stellan Sk is excellent as Luthen and Im really starting to feel sorry for Mon Mothma. I sense mass tragedy for this group of Rebels. They are either going to get wiped out or this Imp Engineer is someone important...he gets killed and the Empire is going to drop an anvil on them. I also sat back today & binge watched Kenobi. Def one of my favorite pieces. People were WAY too quick to jump on it after the first 3 episodes. My mind is still blown that folks thought that was it after their initial meeting. It was obvious he was going to meet Vader again and school him whilst getting his mojo back. gonna take in Solo Sunday night I think. |

So far both arcs of Andor were totally satisfying. I don't know how they can top the drama in episode 6, but the slow burn has been worth it so far. (The Eye was gorgeous)

Ep6 of Andor was great....man oh man...here come the ISB. I have a feeling that those credits were only being hidden as payroll....they are actually something much more important. Loved the twists and turns of the ep and didnt expect them to be quite so merciless on the Rebel Squad.

Binge watched all episodes of Tales of the Jedi this morning. Brilliant show. The 3 Dooku episodes are the standouts for me though. Ep4 "The Sith Lord" is an absolute must for any SW fan.....I already know I will watch it numerous times.

I think Andor is incredibly well done, it's filled with infectious characters I'm genuinely concerned about, and it's got a serious tone to it that I think works best for these shows. That said, it's too much of a human focused political thriller to feel like Star Wars the way Mando does. It's missing that magic imo. I'm totally into it, and I've really looked forward to it from week-to-week, but I do wish it felt more set in the Star Wars galaxy at times. Episode 11 is somewhat in that direction with the alien interaction and the space action sequence. Rogue One had Vader, GMT, Leia, Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan, and a healthy amount of troopers. My nitpicky complaint with Andor is that it's been missing those sprinkles on top of the ice cream. Still, none of that takes away from the great story they've been able to tell on a micro level and I can't wait for the last episode.

Mando was a great 1st ep and the bad Batch was great this week too.
S2 of the BB has been very very hit & miss. I wish they would stay in their lane and deal with post order 66, Crosshairs, Empire and the cloning story running underneath. when they stray outside of that it goes downhill huge.

All 3 episodes of Mando this season has been great.
I've watched all the movies and D+ stuff(Mando,Boba and Andor). Can anybody recommend something else to give a go for somebody that's just getting into Star Wars? I've watched couple episodes of the Bad Batch,just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Maybe I should've watched something else first? I know I hear a lot about Clone Wars and Rebels from New Rockstars breakdowns

Reintroducing Maul Jedi Struggling being Generals Palpatines manipulations Asajj Ventress Introduction of Nightsisters Order 66 teases & conspiracy Development of so many Jedi Great action Introduction of Tarkin Development of Asoka Introduction of Saw Gerrara Solving of the Sifo Dyas mystery So many cracking episodes focusing on the clones. Tales of the Jedi is also highly recommended 👌 |
