Was disappointed by the Gunn Suicide Squad trailer....felt there was a lot of forced humor in there.
Ayers first trailer for his Suicide Squad was brilliant.

It took me two sittings , but the wife and I watched Justice League. I thought it was pretty good, better than the original theatrical cut for sure, but I thought that was not as horrible as some people made out. I would be interested to see the Knightmare universe play out, but could he make a good movie if WB only gave him 2 or 2 and a half hours of running time to play with.
However, I do not get the huge amount of praise being heaped on this movie. Maybe it is me missing something, but a podcast I listen to made the point that this is being treated like it is a massive cultural thing. Again, I may just not get "it" whatever "it" is.
At the end of the day, I thought it was entertaining and I recommend you check it out. I think it was a better movie with me watching it in two sittings as well. I think had I watched it all in one sitting I may have been getting a bit restless by the end lol.

If they do more Snyder stuff I hope they leave out that god awful Joker. The scene at the end was so cringe worthy with his bad impression of Ledger

I don't know why Snyder changed Jokers look from Suicide Squad to JL.
No need for it in fairness.

Ideal spot to stop is 2:30 in, right after the League creates the plan for reviving Superman.
Last hour and a half of the movie goes by in a flash (see what I did there) as it’s all action and story driven at a faster pace than the first 5/8 of the movie.
I watched it all in one go initially, but subsequent viewings with my dad and the Justice in Gray version went by the above.

I don't know why Snyder changed Jokers look from Suicide Squad to JL. No need for it in fairness. From what I’ve read, Snyder wasn’t a fan of the Joker’s look in Suicide Squad (the tattoos were David Ayers idea). Since the Knightmare scene was one of two new scenes Snyder shot for his cut, I’m assuming he just went with his idea of how Joker should look. The tattoos never bothered me like others but I get why they are over the top (specifically the “Damaged” tattoo). The continuity thing with them missing is weird, but not as annoying as Aquaman being a stoic and serious character in the Snyder cut to a lighter hearted Thor knockoff in his solo outing (I preferred him in Snyder Cut for more than his solo movie).

Finally a really good DC film that was actually fun to watch. Who knew that all they needed was Stallone, Cena, and Elba?

The new Suicide Squad was better. Decent humor and well acted. There was two people I didn't want to die. Both did.
I will say I think GotG was FAR better. But this was still fun.

Overall I definitely felt like this was the better film of the 2 Suicide Squad movies but some things still irked me in places, wasn’t perfect but still a very enjoyable film.
I wonder if Marino and I are talking about the same two because I agree out of everyone that bit the dust there were two I was hoping would continue on. I wonder if this has rousing success if it’ll change Gunn’s mind if they decide to do a follow up film.

I really really enjoyed suicide squad! It was better than i expected. Im not a huge fan of the girl who plays harley but i liked her in this, as well as elba and cena!
I thought the film was funny and very entertaining, it kept my attention the whole time.
King shark was such a good character in this!

The Suicide Squad is easily my favorite DCU movie. My favorite character from the original and mostly irredeemable SS dies in the first scene lol
Gunn did a great job keeping me guessing for over 2 hours. Some jokes didn’t land, but I loved it.
I’ve met James Gunn twice (drank with him once) so I’ve always pulled for him. I thought GotG would be his high point, but TSS is the best thing he’s ever made.

Enjoyed it.... surprised me in places & I feel the studio was more hands off with Gunn than Ayer.
Post credit scenes reveal a survivor too...

The Peacemaker show is going to be incredible
I love that two of the three best movies of the year have John Cena in them. The other one has Nicolas Cage. What a time to be alive.
