Wonder Woman 1984 is coming out on HBO Max on Christmas Day!! I wonder if this will somewhat force Marvels hand to start doing the same. Personally I love that this is coming to HBO Max on Christmas! I cant wait for this, just anything new is a huge step. |

Watched Wonder Woman last night. Thought it was pretty good. Not sure what the internet is in an uproar about. It definitely feels too bloated. Like there were scenes that absolutely could have been trimmed down and were way too over indulgent. I really liked the first act, though. There is no denying it’s as much a romance film as it is an action film. I’m sure that’s going to piss off plenty of people.
There is nothing wrong with giving characters depth. I think that’s a bad habit audiences have grown accustomed to from marvel. Like, making Diana a human, of sorts, with flaws should make her relatable. I thought that tied in well with how she developed her powers. This one kind of felt like it was directly from the pages of a comic book. It doesn’t happen often, and it doesn’t always work, but it felt like I was watching a graphic novel.
It was not what I was expecting. Sometimes that’s good enough for me.

I enjoyed it. Honestly the two WW films are the only ones in the DCEU that haven’t bored the hell out of me. I don’t expect to like the Synder Cut either.

Is the new cut of justice League really going to be around three to four hours??? To me that sounds brutal and that is coming from someone who thought the movie was ok in the first place!
Batman v Superman was a three hour movie that made me feel all three of those hours and I have a bad feeling this will be the same.

Is the new cut of justice League really going to be around three to four hours??? To me that sounds brutal and that is coming from someone who thought the movie was ok in the first place! Batman v Superman was a three hour movie that made me feel all three of those hours and I have a bad feeling this will be the same. Being shown in 4 parts I think man...but I'm open to correction on that. |

So Affleck is officially out as the DCEU Batman and Michael Keaton is in? While I love(d) Keaton as Batman how much more can DC/WB keep screwing with things? Just start over...reboot everything...scrap any plans and just start fresh

Joker looks a lot better. I know he won’t have a lot of screen time but I can’t wait to see what Jared and Zack do together.

Keeping my expectations basement low for this because I doubt one of my main gripes will be remedied.
But I'll still be watching 100%
I'll keep my opinion on Joker quiet until I see him in context...not as thrilled as some but we'll see.

I had my Godson over yesterday & he asked to watch the Harley/Birds of Prey movie.
Pfffft. I really really like Margot as Harley & hope Gunn sets the character back on the road to success in his Suicide Squad sequel.

I had my Godson over yesterday & he asked to watch the Harley/Birds of Prey movie. Pfffft. I really really like Margot as Harley & hope Gunn sets the character back on the road to success in his Suicide Squad sequel. I haven't seen the Harley/Birds film so I can't say anything on it, but I was super devastated when it looked like all signs were pointing to a Gotham City Sirens movie and then they put that on hold to make the Birds film. |

I hate when companies do this and then they act surprised when people watch their stuff through other means. If you made it available for me to properly support you I would! I was hopeful that a lot of the HBO Max content would be on Netflix here in the UK, but it is weird how quiet it all is about this.
2: Why all of a sudden is there is huge love for Zack Synder like he is the greatest filmmaker of all time? Not to put the guy down or anything, but it is like the DCEU is now going to be amazing because he is back.
