Just like when everyone said "What is that gay cowboy gonna do as the Joker lol? gay Batman to death? xDDDDDDD" when Ledger was announced as the Joker, people had a similar 'bad' reaction to Pattinson for no reason.
Pattinson, much like Ledger, is an incredible actor with a huge range that is more than 'sparkly vampire'.
This looks absolutely fantastic. Batfleck sucked ass. This looks more in line with what I personally want out of Batman. Dark, gritty, cool suit, strong jaw. The tone is amazing. I just hope it can deliver.

I’m so hype. I love anything Batman related and I think Pattinson is gonna surprise a ton of people with this role

Batman is a character that you can put any actor in the costume and people will come to watch it...George Clooney is proof of that. It doesnt mean its going to be good though. The Nolan series nailed top notch talent all across the board. When I look at the current cast I catch myself going "who?" or "why?" more then anything else.
Realistically DC/WB needs to just sit on the Batman character for a few years to let people "want" to see it back on the screen. People are still attached to Nolan Batman and continue to have hopes for Affleck Batman and until there's a long separation, people wont be fully invested in a Batman again.

Honestly, that is top 3 trailer for me ever. As someone who absolutely hates
That Pattinson is Batman... I will say that I’m expecting to feel differently after the movie

I know this sounds odd, bu I liked everything about The Batman trailer except Batman! I just do not see it at all, especially him as Bruce Wayne, he lacks that square/strong jaw for me. Hopefully, he will knock it out of the park, but as of right now I am kind of optimistic about the whole thing.

Yesterday was unbelievable; getting the Snyder Cut trailer which was just utterly glorious, then the spectacular tease from The Batman. This truly is the strongest the DC world has been. All we need is to get Cavill locked into something, thats all we need and then, frankly, it's perfect!

Personally, I think the Snyder Cut trailer (including Affleck's appearance at the end) totally outclassed the teaser for The Batman. I'm a big Robert Pattinson believer, but I think he has lost a ton of his thunder over the past week with the recent Affleck news. Really hoping Batfleck is back for at least one more movie beyond The Flash.

A lot of fans think his BvS suit was the perfect comic adaption and the fact he could turn his head in a full cowl was amazing. Half assed performance? Did you only watch the Whedon reshoots and not BvS? The guys went all in for BvS and the original JL cut before Whedon made them reshoot the whole movie. If anything I think the Dark Knight suit was the worst on screen suit we’ve seen. Too tactical and and bat symbol is barely visible. |

I wanted to like Affleck. But I thought the movies sucked.
I don’t like the suit no matter the comic accuracy. I don’t like the way they were produced. It was a letdown. It was all about Superman
I see this Pattinson trailer and I’m in awe. I can imagine Affleck or a bunch of other people but Battinson, but I’m legit hyped. That’s Batman.

To me, Affleck is the definitive live action Bruce Wayne and Batman based on mannerisms and looks despite the movies he was in. While The Batman trailer looked interesting, I just don’t buy Pattinson in the role. And after getting the great suits Affleck wore, they legit gave this new version a Goodwill knockoff look. The potential of Affleck and Keaton sharing screen time is huge to me, and if rumors are true and the Snyder Cut does well, it’s been said that AT&T will be interested in talking Affleck into doing a mini series for HBO Max. |
