Hey, Philly's moves this off-season were gutsy, but they were pretty solid for the most part. I wasn't surprised to see that they won today. True. I suppose that's just the pessimist in me because of how their season ended last year. Seeing Jagr and Giroux together has been awesome thus far. It's also driving me nuts listening to commentators overrating Richards ever since they traded him. By the way, I'm predicting Crosby will definitely be back this season.

Richards could very easily be that one key piece LA needed to get over that Western hump of Vancouver, Detroit and San Jose.
Oh, and Flower sucks when there's even just a little bit of traffic in front of him.

It makes me sick to see Cooke with two goals. Just waiting for a Shanaban on him.

Oh, and Flower sucks when there's even just a little bit of traffic in front of him. And you may very well be right. But as a Flyer, he was definitely not one of their best players. Not to mention he really wasn't a captain.

Hey, Cooke's a fabulous winger, and he's nasty on the PK. It's just that he's also a very dirty player.

So Flower somehow blocks two straight and Malkin somehow scores in a shootout for a Pens win.
This has gotta be one of those Twilight Zone moments or something like that...but I like it.

Sure looked like a good cup preview to me, except next time Kesler (and Crosby?) will be playing.

I kinda was, but it was nice to see a philly win... sorry fattic Hopefully the Canucks can start to rebound and play much better in the third, I think the Pens have controlled the majority of he play so far. Crosby's not even playing and you still want the Pens to lose, and a Western team to win. Sheesh R. Definately wouldnt be because the Canucks are one of my favorites behind Detroit would it? Though this may make you feel better, I didnt mind seeing Pittsburgh win tonight, probably because Cindy wasnt on the ice lol. Also due to the fact that both teams looked great out there. It may have taken a while for Vancouver to start playing but when they did it was very entertaining to watch. Kudos to the Pens for the win. Hopfully the Wings can do the same thing tomorrow night against Ottawa... without the whole shootout thing, I could live without that

Jesus I hate Canucks fans. All over CDC and Facebook, its nothing but Luo hate. Good game by the Nucks tonight. I wish the NHL would get rid of the shootout. Oh well, no shootouts in the playoffs.

Barry Melrose picked the Blackhawks to win the Cup this year. I hope he's right.

I don't mind the Shootouts, even in a losing effort. If you can make it one whole game plus an extra few minutes, you deserve at least one point for your troubles.

It was one of the best experiences ever, regardless of the score at the end of the night. The ceremony was so incredible and emotional, I had tears in my eyes by the end. I know that probably sounds dramatic, but really, it was unbelievable. As far as the game itself...we were straight out worked. Not trying to make an excuse or anything, but I feel like that opening ceremony just drained everyone. Like the crowd was the LOUDEST I have ever heard it for the banner being raised, and after everyone (figuratively, of course) blew their load over that, everyone was just kind of...flat. Regardless I give the Flyers props. They looked nice tonight. Here's a picture of my tickets, I'm too tired right now to put up any of the other ones I took inside the Garden.

Those are some pretty sweet looking tickets. Haha. I watched the banner raising after work and it was certainly a sight to behold. Too bad they couldn't pull out a win too but like you said the ceremony was pretty emotionally draining and the Flyers are a really game team I think.

Great win for the Flyers tonight. Jagr scores his 1,600th career goal and we gained a small bit of revenge after being swept out 4-0 by Boston in the Playoffs last season.
