BCA were the only JAKKS figures worth a crap. The rest is garbage once TTL started. I still have ALL my BCA figs, and I still play with them most. I collect Mattel Elites now, which are great, but there's nothing like that nostalgic feel to the ol' rubber limbs throwin' hooks at rubber heads.

I had some really cool unique ideas with my figs. I had an elitist group running around much like the nexus, but not only did they work as an excellent unit, but each had their own success as singles wrestlers. I called them the "Elite Seven", and the members were a custom Chris Jericho (leader), The Patriot, Triple H, British Bulldog, Kanyon, Road Dogg, and Billy Gunn. Jericho ran around with the World title for a while, until Patriot started coming into his own spotlight and challenged champion Scott Steiner. Steiner and Patriot was the greatest feud I created, and their battles made Jerry Lynn vs RVD look like child's play. They had countless battles back and forth, ultimately with Steiner getting the one-up. Steiner remained World champ through most of the time I played with them, and now Triple H has separated from the Elite 7 and feuds with Steiner. I keep finding ways to make the old feuds renewed. My HBK fig "retired" when his leg broke off, and he passed his torch to Val Venis, who took on many of HBK's moves and style. Undertaker is nowhere near as dominant in my fed as he is on tv, instead he's actually a jobber of sorts. Chris Candido is my submission expert, and he and Bret Hart feud a lot. That's the majority of how my fed is.

Hey Chicago, who would you say out of all the BCA figures had the most variants?? I am gonna take an educated guess and say it was Billy Gunn. I know I owned 3 versions of him, and I have seen many other versions too from various lines. Do you think he had the most figure variants?? If my memory serves me correctly Austin had the most variants and then HHH & HBK or vice versa. Maybe one day ill look through my BCAs that arent displayed and add them up with the ones that are displayed and see who has the most variantsWish i still had the Billy gunn in white he came with a blue Ken shamrock i believe. im sitting here goin crazy. what 2 tuff series were these 2 in

And Rocky Maivia/The Rock definitely had more variations than HHH and HBK. Same for 'Taker.

What was the deal with the first 5 or 6 lines of wrestlers all having elbow pads too?? Shawn Michaels never wore elbow pads, nor did Mankind or Sid (except that big black wrap he had on his arm), but it seemed like all the wrestlers from the first 5 or so lines all came with elbow pad molds.

they pretty much used the same arms for everyone

I would guess that Jakks was trying to cut costs and re-used a lot of the arm molds despite their inaccuracies.
It didn't make a lot of sense, but it also didn't really matter since it was just great to have figures with added articulation and limbs that bent.

I'm not as clued in when it comes to legitimate variations of figures (other arm/leg molds are used or odd running variants that someone finds in a store), but I can rattle off a decent list of the number of actual releases a wrestler has had in the BCA line.
I just counted up all of the Billy Gunns that I know of, which should be all of them.
Billy Gunn -
0. Canceled Superstars Series 8 in black/silver trunks (same as 2 Tuff Series 4, I believe). 1. 2 Tuff Series 2 in pinkish-purple trunks. 2. 2 Tuff Series 4 in black trunks. 3. 2 Tuff Series 5 in white t-shirt and blue jeans. 4. Shotgun Saturday Night Series 2 in black DX sleeveless t-shirt with baby blue trunks. 5. Fully Loaded Series 1 in bright green trunks. 6. Sunday Night Heat Series in teal trunks. 7. Best of '98 Tag Teams Series is a 2 Tuff 2 re-release. 8. Signature Series 2 in bright blue trunks (variant with purple knee pads). 9. Signature Series 5 in yellowish-green trunks. 10. SummerSlam 1999 Grudge Match in white trunks (lower body is Fully Loaded Series 1 re-release). 11. Special Edition Series 4 is a 2 Tuff Series 2 re-release. 12. Backlash Series 3 in black trunks (different mold/design from 2 Tuff Series 4). 13. Backlash Series 4 in bright pink trunks (with Real Scan head). 14. D-Generation X 4-pack is a 2 Tuff Series 2 re-release. 15. Off the Mat 4-pack in black DX t-shirt (different from SSN2) and blue jeans (different from 2 Tuff 5). 16. Fully Loaded 4-pack in bright yellow trunks. 17. Perfect 10 10-pack in black t-shirt and blue jeans (2 Tuff Series 5 repaint).
That's not counting his two or three Camo Carnage (a.k.a. S.T.O.M.P. Series 4) figures either, as I don't really consider them the same as the original BCAs. His most detailed figures are 2 Tuff Series 2, Signature Series 2, and the Sunday Night Heat Series figure.
I think I have 12 of his BCA figures.

I love hearing all these stories about people BCA feds.
I remember my first tag team champions were Mankind and Marc Mero. They were kinda an underdog tag team, with Mankind's upredictableness and Mero being a smaller guy. They were thrown together as a team and ended up winning the tournament for the Tag Titles. I also remember having Ahmed Johnson and Farooq as a Tag Team using the 'Nation of Domination' name. Eventually Farooq turned on Ahmed and brought in Mark Henry and Savio, so it was more like the real Nation.
I have to agree with Savio Vega not being very playable, but I fixed that problem. I had 2 of the Rocky Miavia figures, so I put the Savio arms and head on one of them. And since I was already using the 2 Tuff Rock as 'The Rock', I used the Rocky Miavia as Flex Kavana. Flex Kavana and Savio Vega were one of my last tag teams before I stopped playing. For some reason, I loved the Savio arms on the Rocky torso, they worked so well.

I wish i could find the notebook that had all of my storylines. These are the storylines i remember:
I had all of my orginial ecw figures invade the wwf and take all of there titles. I did a best of 5 series for the tag team titles. The Godwins vs The Dudleys. Shane douglas won the wwf title from Bret Hart. Sandman won the Hardcore title from Al Snow Steve Corino won the ic title from Billy Gunn. Super Crazy won the European title from D'lo Brown.
The best cage match i had was Undertaker vs Sting (Toybiz) I had the NWO do a run in to save sting. The next night i had the NWO turn on Sting and join the wwf.
The one figure i remember marking out for in the store was Slammer series 2 Kane.
I remember seeing once that there was a blonde hair Paul Bearer figure. I don't remember what series he was in. But i was never able to find one.

Flex Kavana and Savio Vega were one of my last tag teams before I stopped playing. For some reason, I loved the Savio arms on the Rocky torso, they worked so well. That's a really good idea. Come to think of it, I bet a CS Terry Funk head would look great on a Godwinns figure for a simple Chainsaw Charlie. I hope more stories come to mind from my playing days, but I really don't remember keeping track until the TTL era of figures. I used to pick figures out of a box/tote and set matches up as I went along. I swear, it's so much easier when you're a kid and you don't feel like you have to make complete sense out of matches or storylines. I would give anything to be that free-spirited again, but I still enjoy the collecting aspect of the BCA line, and wrestling figures in general. I look forward to hearing more from everyone else, though. And, to those who are just browsing and haven't posted yet, please feel free to join in. Everyone has something to offer. He was exclusive to the Badd Blood 4-pack - i3.photobucket.com/albums/y61/tmac152303/BCA%20Collection/BCA%20Boxed%20Sets/DSC09387.jpgAnd, I think, the figures I marked out for the most were the debut New Age Outlaws from 2 Tuff Series 2; I could not wait for them to be released, as I (wait for the biggest stretch of the imagination that you'll ever know) started using the Tag Team Series 1 LOD figures as Billy and Road Dogg lol. I forgot to mention that the Off the Mat Billy Gunn, as well as Road Dogg and Austin, had a variant with the "thumbs up" arm mold.

Chicago, that unreleased Billy Gunn figure for Series 8, I had that figure but it came with Val Venis in a tag set. What 2 Tuff series was that from then??

That was 2 Tuff Series 4, but I think the prototype was to be SLIGHTLY different with a glossier appearance.
Supposedly silver, but it does look about the same.

Does the Undertaker in the Bad Blood 4 pack glow in the dark? I hope so, cause for some reason his face is 'Sheamus' white.
