I remember getting the first Monster ring for my birthday one year. I used to play with that ring all the time. I used to have two of the Raw Is War Monster rings but sadly i sold them. The last time i saw a Monster ring was a few years ago at a flea market. The guy wanted $10.00 . It was missing the middle rope and had a crack in the middle of the ring. It was the Raw Is War ring.

If it had been the RW&B Monster Ring with about a million scuffs on the mat, then it would have been mine lol.
I had a HUGE crack down the middle of my ring and I still managed to play with it until I got a new ring. I have a vivid memory of playing while watching wrestling on TV (probably Superstars on the weekend) sometime in '97 with that ring and several of the earlier Superstars Series figures (Warrior, Bulldog, HHH, etc).
One time, all of my figures were taken away from me and placed in a black trashbag as punishment for something I did and I had to stay on good behavior so I could take a few out each day lol.
Seeing as how I had to rebuild my collection since I lost nearly all of my BCA figures (I still have 4 or 5 originals), I always wished prior to 2007 that I would find a black trashbag and all of them would be inside.

I had the big Raw is War Monster ring (LJN style) it was awesome!! I got one with a Shawn Michaels figure (the one that you could turn his waist and his arms would move, and had that really messed up head, that looked like a witch) and I believe Austin came with it too. And then I got another one of those rings that came with Kane, The Rock, Austin and Undertaker. Those rings were so bad ass, just cause I kept - for some strange reason - my old LJN blue cage from the old ring I had with my LJN's and I sold everything BUT the cage. Well that was a blessing since that cage fit on the Raw is War rings perfectly!!
Christmas Day 1999, the main event... Edge (sporting the greyish tights he wore in the signature series) challenging the WWF Champion Shawn Michaels (in his red and black DX gimmicks from I believe a Shotgun Series) inside the cage after HBK turned on Edge and joined the Corporation!! hahahaha ahhhh such wicked times that I would never change for anything!!

One day I did something bad, I don't remember what, but my dad put all my figures in a bag and said he was going to put each figure on the grill and let them melt. I cried and pleaded with him not to and promised to be good and then a day later he gave them back to me unharmed.

Okay, here's something to think about too. With all those BCA wrestlers, did you noticed that most were designed to do their finishing move too.
Like take Billy Gunn, his legs were set up perfectly for the Fameasser, and Shawn Michaels could do sweet chin music pretty sweet with his legs. Owen and X-Pac had the same legs but they were good for the spin wheel/heel kick that both guys did. Mankind (the first release) was awesome at doing piledrivers, Flash Funk had that heavy middle so he could do the moonsault really well when playing. I just think that if you look back to the BCA's they were easier (at least in my opinion) to play with than even RA style figures for Jakks.

It's just...what were they thinking with the Sultan and Savio sculpts? Sure, they might display better, but the playability factor is out the window with these two in particular. Same for Blackman's debut figure, although to a lesser extent. Vince's hard plastic, removable suit in two pieces? I guarantee you that more kids/collectors would have rather had a unique suited mold with a new smirking Vince sculpt to use as their owner than the half-owner/half-wrestler version (almost literally) that we got in Superstars Series 9. There are probably dozens of other examples, but those ones really stick out to me. I literally hated The Sultan and Savio Vega (well, their figures at least) as a kid because of how stiff they were. It's funny how little things like that can also influence who gets pushed/de-pushed in your figure fed as a kid; not to mention, incoming figures also get a little boost from your make-shift creative team lol.

Wow, Chicago you and I would have definitely been friends if we lived near each other for playing with the wrestlers haha I didn't even use Steve Blackman cause of his damn arms unless I was doing like a 16 man tournament for something and then Blackman would have 'just came back from that injury' only to get injured again in the first round when loosing haha
Savio Vega was good for his spin kick though with those legs how they spread apart. That's the only cool thing about him, but you are right, when it came to The Nation and I needed someone to do a job, it was Savio.
Kane was a pretty shitty wrestler to use too, his arms being hard plastic and all. I made Kane's finisher the sit down powerbomb since his legs would spread out pretty well when sitting down. Mankind with removable mask was amazing, but he couldn't do jack crapfor moves. Brian Christopher could do a sweet top rope drop kick though!! But he was also bigger than Davey Boy Smith and Ahmed Johnson it seemed haha

Brian Christopher, despite all of his mostly accurate details, was an abomination lol.
If I could scale down any one figure in the BCA line, it would be him. Of course, he still wouldn't make it out of the Lightweight division, but at least he would fit in better.
Kane, like many BCA figures, is more fun to play with after he's broken in. A perfect BCA figure has an immovable head (no Goldust danglers), arms and legs with smooth, fluid movements, no bouncing/broken peg inside the torso, and the ability to stand up on its own without any assistance. Good luck finding one lol, but you're guaranteed to have several in your collection that cover four of the five categories.
Mankind with the removable mask was severely overrated in terms of its playability; it's not so much the legs but the god-awful, untucked, hard plastic t-shirt. My favorite BCA Mankind will always be the Superstars Series 3 debut figure. What an awesome representation that was for its time.

I have two brown Mankind's one from the 3 Faces of Foley pack. What a great pack it was.
I always used Sgt. Slaughter as my authority figure since he was in the suit and I'd have Vince actually wrestle instead of being in charge, because I didn't like having that suit on him.
A weird story of my Owen Hart figure's demise is that I was playing with him and he hit the turnbuckle and his head popped off.

Damn lol im embarassed to say this but i have only 2 BCA figures sionc ei traded em all of when Ra came out. I have that ringside sunny MIB got it at a yard sale for 1 dollar. Got wm 15 2 pack owne hart and rock MIB for $2 and got jeff jarret and debra mib for $2 but i have since sold those packs I also have a loose BCA owen hart from his Black hart gimmick. What about the Steve Blackman that had his karate out firt on he had a damn staright arm and then one arm was in bending position. Those kendo sticks were awesome though and the tiger design on the back ok the Karate outfit. I remember getting it and my sister and her friend were at the hous ei would run up to em and like yell and try and scare the poop out of em. Lol it worked too. Wish i still had the Billy gunn in white he came with a blue Ken shamrock i believe. Still, you got a great deal on those other MIB figures. I think I remember seeing you post them, and it never ceases to amaze me at the kind of deals that are out there for BCA figures nowadays. The ultimate buy-in period would've been about 2-3 years ago when, from my experiences, prices were at an all-time low, but now is always a good time to start up a collection if any of you are interested. I kind of prefer it this way, but I might not be saying that if I were ever forced to sell my collection (which I hope to avoid at all costs, believe me). I don't want to have to start from scratch again, but even the online chase of BCA figures in 2010 can be fun.

I think I had an Owen like that, too, but nothing involving a turnbuckle. My Vader had as clean of a head pop as there could be; it was immaculate lol, but it was also constantly on the move during matches and, hell, probably as it was sitting still. Goldust? Not so much. His was the ever-wonderful "Maybe I can super glue this thing back on and it will set..ah sh*t it fell off again" scenario that led to me buying another Goldust when I really didn't want another Goldust. Series 4 HHH's ponytail also didn't want to be cooperative with me. I think I remember pulling Sable's hair piece out, too. I'm sure I didn't mean to do it intentionally; I was really trying for the vocal cords.

I have a loose Goldust and a not so mint on card Goldust. I never had BCA Vader though I would have loved to. I had to use his WCW figure which was giant next to the BCA's, but I still used him. He was in my biggest BCA feud. HHH/HBK vs Vader/Sgt. Slaughter.

Slaughter doing double duty, eh? I loved that WCW Vader from the OSFTM line. It's just too bad one Vadersault from him would break their wimpy ring. BCA Vader could've used a couple more cheesesteaks, but I really like the bright red repaint from Live Wire Series 1 and the DTA Tour Series 1 figure in his, err, jobber attire from '98. Although, that right heel is painted pretty sloppy lol.

Yep, HHH and HBK were the top guys and they were always clashing with Slaughter. So Slaughter brought someone in to help him take care of Shawn and Hunter. It main evented WrestleMania.

Sounds like it would've been a good one; how did it turn out? And, since I just came across this photo of mine, who doesn't love them some BCA belts? Edit: Or figure stands?

Shawn superkicked Vader out of the ring, HHH pedigreed Slaughter and got the pin.
They'd continue to raise hell and feud with Slaughter in many different ways until I started getting TTL and I switched over.

My Goldust's head fell off too!! Weirdness!! My LOD Hawk head fell off too after his head was in between a chair and Test did a flying elbow on it. Snapped his head right off. Animal was forced then to go heel as "The Road Warrior" and be Vince's special enforcer for the corporation.
I remember all my Shawn Michaels heads fell off, so did my Owen Hart head. My Vince's torso broke so his legs fell out. But for the most part, my figures still stayed intact.
Okay, so does anyone have any weird story lines or groups they had when playing with them??
I remember I did have the Memphis Mafia. The leader was Jeff Jarrett and I had Roaddog, Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher in the group. I had them feud with Triple H, Billy Gunn, Kane and X-Pac.
I also had the corporation too, but I am sure everyone did that considering that was so hot at the time in WWF.
I also used the newer jacked up version of Steve Austin as "Goldberg" and I used a Hardcore Holly as "Crash" and tagged him with my other version of Hardcore Holly I had.
Such fun times, I could probably do this non stop. Think back to my BCA days and remember the feuds, angles and story lines I had with them.

I remember getting the Undertaker from Superstars series 2 (the glow in the dark one). I took it out of the package and stood the figure up on my dresser. After 2 mins of standing there his leg fell off. I never found another one.
I had a feud of Goldust/Vader vs Kane/Mankind.
The longest Tag Team champions i had were the Godwins.
I had a fued were the Toybiz Sting jumped from wcw to the wwf to Face the Undertaker. (that was the main event of a few ppvs).
My favorite fued was Bret Hart vs Shane Douglas (the orginial ecw figure).

The mania stand is amazing lol. Any chane that we are gonna get a update collection from you chicago. Definitely. I'll try and get new pics up before the end of the weekend. Unfortunately, I don't remember many of my feuds and storylines from when I was a kid because the notebooks are long gone. I remember having a Hell in a Cell match with the Series 3 Mankind and Series 2 'Taker where a desk chair and mini locker held up the large tote as the "cell's" roof. The rest of the area was filled in with random things like folders so they couldn't get out. Needless to say, one or both of them took the epic fall, and it was not the most impressive cell constructed. I made up a lot of characters with my extra repaints; the STOMP Series 1 'Taker became Weapon, just a random hardcore wrestler that looked like 'Taker. The street gear Austin in black jorts from the Bad to the Bonz pack was The Iceman, who I believe was my Intercontinental or European champion for a time. I turned the 2 Tuff Series 4 Billy Gunn into a less-than-stellar custom of Mikey Whipwreck, as well as a STOMP Series 1 Ahmed into K-Kwik. Sharpie dreads ftw lol. One of the Godwinns became an evil clown character. And, I also use to mix in ToyBiz WCW, OSFTM ECW, and Jakks WWF TTL figures in with my BCAs. ECW moreso than the rest since the scale was closer; speaking of which, I've also done a fair job of rebuilding my ECW collection, so maybe I'll take a few comparison shots with my BCA collection.

haha the make shift cell sounds brutal!! I would have had to seen it haha
Alright, what about this...
What figure did you mark out for the most when finding in a store??
I think for me it was that Shawn Michaels in the red/black DX like gimmicks from that Shotgun series I believe it was. I remember I bought it, than Faarooq, Triple H and Chainz all from that same series. All 3 came with a chair except Triple H, he came with a green ladder.
I also marked out for finding Billy Gunn and Roaddog for the first time. They were the signature series, Billy had on his blue gimmicks and Roaddog has the white DX shirt with black pants. I brought them home and it didn't take long before I had the tag belts on them haha
