I wouldn't miss him...usually the reason I don't have volume on my tv during RAW.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with what he said. He didn’t denigrate the SD! brand at all. He’s expressing his hurt at the way this was handled. From what I read, it can be inferred that there are some that are taking pleasure in moving him to SD!. It seems that “behind the scenes” this is being treated as a demotion as he makes mentions of those that he believed were acting a little off that night. After a long and distinguished career being the Voice of Raw, and after MANY, MANY attempts at changing the announcing teams, it would have been nice if the decision makers had merely shown him a little respect and spoken to him about this. I can tell you that if my bosses told me that I would be moving to another area of the company, essentially changing how and when I do things, that I would be equally as upset, and my job doesn’t require me to travel anywhere near as much as JR’s does. Also, SD! is the more arduous of the shows as it is taped. There can be multiple takes at times and as he mentions a good deal of post-production work. When you expect someone to make this type of life change, it’s always best to talk to the person. That being said, JR showed he is a true professional and class act by standing by his contract and his word. SD! will be all the better for it and Foley will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best. Amen. It's good to see someone with a bit of intelligence out here.

Good, go ahead and quit. That way, Joey Styles could get the commentating position that he rightfully deserves...you know, the one JR stole from him. What part of "Joey Styles doesn't want to commentate anymore", do people not get?..

Consider yourself (J.R) working at a Multi Million dollar facility (RAW) where everything is awesome and pleasant, imagine your boss (McMahon) coming in and saying "Hey buddy guess what, we just bought this crap hole (SD!) in downtown iraq (My Network TV) where terrorists (No ratings) flourish and the water is camel piss, and since your so important to us, we need you to go there and crack a smile, good luck"
You wouldn't like it much either I bet.

Man, RAW won't be the same without him, they should have switched Adamle and Mick really. And to you people who think he was pouting on air, I think that was just his sad face.

I don't blame him, he is in the twilight of his career..... you don't embarass someone like that on the air. Kudos to Jim Ross. After re-watching it, I think Cole knew. He stands up and heads over to the Raw table before it even shows his face on the screen as being drafted.

I don't watch any more, but wouldn't they tell him that they're moving him ahead of time?

You guys would feel the same damn way if your company demoted you. Going from a Live broadcast to one that is recorded and then put in post production isn't that great. So then Matt Hardy, Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Umaga, and HHH should think about quitting and maybe just mope around the ring like a child because they got "demoted" to the crappy shows? They are young. Triple H have to worry about something? puh...he goes and does what he wants. Apparently he wants Edge's title now. That's the only heel they haven't had him destroy yet. Anyways there is a big difference. JR is near the end of his career. He has been the voice of Raw since the end of 1997. If they were going to demote him, they certainly should have had the dignity to tell him about it beforehand. That's a smack in the face to all of the things for the 10 years he has hosted the show.

Sadly JR is everything Smackdown doesnt want. Smackdown and ECW is fresh, JR sadly isnt. If he really wants to he shud quit, i havent felt his heart has been in it for a few months and this wont help!

If anything JR could see this a chance/opportunity to freshen his skills up a bit. Instead of bitching and moanin about how hard done by he is. As far as I can tell he still on the same contract picking up the same money and hes still calling prime time TV wrestling matches every week with guys like Edge, Triple H Undertaker who are all TOP stars.
NOBODY is bigger than the WWE and JR obviously thought his spot was guarnteed there lies the problem in my eyes. he got too comfortable an complacent.

He should quit being a big fat, crying baby... I felt bad for Mick who had to deal with his lack of professionalism and even make excuses for it.

Raw will never be the same now. No Triple H or JR, and John Cena, Batista and Rey Mysterio are carrying the show.

It's good to see someone with a bit of intelligence out here. totally agreed 200%. whether some of the people on here like him or not, jim ross is a commentating legend (well, as much of a legend as commentators go, but i digress) and to not even discuss a life changing career move with him before it takes place is wrong & completely disrespectful to him. so, yeah, he was mad and i don't blame him. as sad as it would be for him to walk out like that, i wouldn't hate on it one bit.

Notice the people bashing Ross are a bunch of ing losers who could only DREAM about being half as successful as him. Quite sad, really. All talk...

Quite sad, really. All talk... Umm, it's called a message board... and on said message board we discuss people we can only dream about being half as successful as... I'm not sure the point you're trying to make there, stretch.
