TNA Xplosion October 11, 2008Jeremy Borash stars the show welcoming the TNA fans to this week’s edition of TNA Xplosion on CMT. He goes over what will go down tonight, which includes Claudio’s weekly open challenge, singles action, and the main event featuring Robert Roode and James Storm taking on the Rock N’ Rave Infection. We get started with Claudio Castagnoli in the ring. Claudio Castagnoli def. Johnny Devine with the Ricola Bomb (6:28)Rating: C- In the back, Jeremy Borash is standing with Matt Morgan, who will be making his return to the TNA ring in our next match. For most of the interview, Morgan puts him over and stating that he is glad to be back in TNA. Following that, he says that his goal is to become an unstoppable force and win the prized TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Matt Morgan def. Jack Evans with the Hellavator (7:53)Rating: C Following the match, a commercial for Bound for Glory airs. Following a short commercial break, Borash goes backstage where he gets a word with the Rock N’ Rave Infection. The three, including Christy Hemme, do their normal routine going back and forth on the microphone and stating, “We are gonna rock your world as tag team champions!” and stuff like that. They end the segment doing a team huddle to plan before the match. Rock N’ Rave Infection def. Beer Money Inc. with the Move that Rocks the World (16:11)Rating: B- Following the match, Jeremy Borash wishes everybody a good night and reminds them to watch TNA Bound for Glory tomorrow night, and tune into TNA iMPACT every Thursday on Spike TV.

IMPACT was solid, and a nice way to build towards Bound for Glory. It's good to see Gibson getting a win, but a Williams/ Devine team would be great, TNA needs a Team Canada reunion. Kong going over was good, and the Kong/ Melissa match sounds interesting. I'm enjoying the build up to Monsters ball, the match should be brutal. The Nash/ Booker segment was cool, and I really hope that Nash goes over at BFG. The main event was awesome, and I really can't wait for BFG to see who goes over in the world title match.

The opening contest seemed well booked in my opinion. I thought that Petey Williams was on suspension, though. I'm not complaining, though, I love Petey. I liked that James Gibson has made it to the main Impact card and it's a good job that him and Consequences Creed beat Petey and Devine. I see that Petey is being punished for his violation, but please push him sometime in the future. I feel sorry for Daizee Haze, she got distroyed in this match with Kong. Oh well. Rhino beating James Storm was a decent contest, obviously not the greatest rated section of the show, though. MCMG beating Rock and Rave Infection was a good booking decision, in my book that'd be a great match to be honest. Unsure why it got placed as an average 'C'. The main event was probably the greatest match of the year or at least a candidate. I loved the booking of that show also. Good work and BFG is beefed up to its highest potential. Good work.

TNA Bound for Glory October 12, 2008The fantastic opening video opens the show. The video displays the build of this event and recaps the four other Bound for Glory events in the past years. Followed by the video is a great display of pyrotechnics as the camera goes around the arena where 10,000 plus TNA fans are cheering like there is no tomorrow. The camera would settle on Mike Tenay, Don West, who goes over what is going down tonight, and what has happened in the previous weeks. The show starts with the TerrorDome match featuring ten of the tope TNA stars, with the winner facing Kaz later tonight! TerrorDome: James Gibson def. Devine, Williams, Creed, Rave, Evans, L.A. Park, London, & HartBoy, this was a great way to open up Bound for Glory. This match was full of explosive, highflying moves that just captivated the fans. There were well over five spots in this match, and all of them were pulled off great. The biggest being a splash off the top of the dome. The fans loved the entire match, which lasted about fifteen minutes, and they got a kick out of everything. The match, of course, was back and forth, fast pace action, with many narrow escapes. Hell, about seven people almost had the win, but all were pulled down, with the exception of the winner. Speaking of the winner, it would end up being James Gibson, the man who just debut about a month ago. The crowd gave all of them men a standing ovation. The man who deserved this the most, Johnny Devine, he was involved in many of the spots, and he just outshined many of the people. This was an amazing match, and I would not mind seeing it again. Rating: B- In the locker room, Crystal Louthan has a word with the TNA X Division Champion, Kaz. Crystal starts the segment saying, “Kaz, you just saw it, James Gibson will be your opponent tonight. What are your thoughts on your opponent?” Kaz takes a minute of thinking before he says, “Crystal, Gibson is a great wrestler and being a absolute fan favorite, he has momentum going into this match. Not to mention, he also has a winning streak, he is undefeated. However, going into this match, he is also tired. Unless he takes a long nap, I doubt he will have enough energy for this match. He still has a chance, but I have a strategy, and that is to go all out, fast pace, and wear him down even more. Following that, I will go in for the kill and beat him senseless. Sorry Gibson, try again.” ODB & Gail Kim def. The Beautiful PeopleFor a women’s match, this was about average. The in ring action was good, the fans were into it off and on, but outside of the ring, it was a little corny. Through out the match, the Beautiful People tried to give ODB a “makeover” but thanks to the help of Gail Kim, the disaster ended. Besides that, the match was ok. Could have been better, but the fans still enjoyed it. The Beautiful People seemed to dominate most of the match, continuing their cheating antics, but ODB and Kim came back with the momentum from the crowd. This happened at about the ten-minute mark, and about two more minutes later, ODB would pick up the win when she hit the Running Powerslam on Angelina Love. Following the match, ODB and Gail Kim grabbed paper bags of their own and placed them on the heads of the Beautiful People. Rating: C+ Backstage, Jeremy Borash is standing with the TNA World Tag Team Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns. Borash, who conducts the interview, starts out saying, “Guys, in just a few matches, you two take on Giant Bernard/Tomko and LAX. The odds are against you two retaining your titles. However, we know that you two always face the odds. Are you guys ready?” Shelley and Sabin scream in unison, “Hell Yeah!” Following the partying, Shelley grabs the microphone, “You know MCMG fans tonight is our night! You see, we ARE going to face the odds! We ARE going to retain our titles. And most importantly, we ARE not going to let you down!” The two run off waving their championship belts high in the air. Six Man Tag: Super Eric, Curry Man, Shark Boy, & Delirious def. Bashir, Koslov, Williams, & DuxEh, this match was ok, but not that great. It was below average, and at times, it was a cluster f**k. However, the fans were really into the match, especially since the Anti-Americans dominated for the most part. This gave them the inspiration to cheer on the “Super Heroes”, which would eventually give them momentum for the win. Nevertheless, this was definitely a lackluster performance on everyone’s part, but for some reason it was entertaining. The match lasted close to fifteen minutes, which was a little too much, but the finish was a great way to end the match. The ending was basic, all four of the so-called super heroes hit their respected finishers on the other team, and all four got the pin. Super Eric, Shark Boy, Curry Man, and Delirious celebrated with the fans post match. Rating: D+ Following the match, Jeremy Borash goes backstage where he sits down with AJ Styles, one of the four participants in tonight’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship gauntlet match. Borash begins the interview saying, “AJ Styles, later tonight, you will be in the gauntlet match with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Now, you are very familiar with all of the participants in the match. From your classic matches with Samoa Joe, and your feuds with Angle and Cage, you know everyone in this match more than you know yourself. Does this give you a advantage?” AJ Styles answers very quickly, “You know JB, it may give me somewhat of an advantage, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll end up winning. All participants of this match are great wrestlers, and on a very special occasion, I may be over wrestled, therefore, I may end up losing. We’ll just have to see…” TNA X Division Championship: James Gibson def. Kaz via Count OutMuch like the TerrorDome match, the one Gibson won to qualify, this was an excellent match. However, at times it was much better, and instead of highflying, and fast pace action, it was mostly mat wrestling. Due to this, being that most wrestling fans do not enjoy the technical style of wrestling, the fans were dead for most of the match. Up until the pace picked up, that is. Instead of Kaz, making the match fast pace, it was rather James Gibson, and he pretty much surprised Kaz doing this. This was when the tides turned, because for the first half, Kaz was in the driver’s seat, but during the transition, Gibson got the momentum and would dominate the rest of the match. Seeing as this could possibly be the end of his title reign, Kaz walked out of the ring and intentionally got the count out. The crowd was in a uproar and almost started a riot, luckily security was there. I can definitely see a rematch at Turning Point. Rating: B- After the match, the camera goes backstage, where Giant Bernard and Tomko are standing in the locker room with the light dimmed. Tomko begins to talk, “Motor City Machine Guns, it’s time to give those titles back to us. You see, you two should have never won those titles in the first place. It was a total fluke. Yet, you continue to run around and brag about being the champions. You never saw Bernard and me do that did you. Bernard and I treated those titles as trophies, not toys like you two kids treat them. You two are only part of the problem though, because LAX, those two are a bunch of petty thugs. Those two have no right to be in this match, so therefore, Bernard and I are going to eliminate the illegal immigrants and rid the US of their job-sniffing asses. Then, we are going to rid the US of you posers called MCMG!” TNA Tag Team Championships: Motor City Machine Guns def. LAX & Giant Bernard/TomkoDamn, this was a great match up, and the fans loved it. They were especially loving the double-teaming on Bernard and Tomko from MCMG and LAX. However, even though LAX and MCMG double-teamed, it was a one sided affair the entire match. MCMG dominated most of the match, but it was nowhere near a squash. In fact, the other two teams had their fair share of moves. Nevertheless, this was a above average match, and together, these three teams can put on a brilliant match. You can see all styles of wrestling: powerhouse, brawling, highflying, and even technical wrestling at times. This was just a overall great match, but there was quite a few botches, which brought the quality down just a little. MCMG would pick up the win around the eighteen-minute mark when Chris Sabin hit the Future Shock on Homicide. Rating: B- Backstage, Crystal Louthan is standing with the TNA Women’s Champion, Cheerleader Melissa. Crystal starts the interview with a very simple question, “Melissa, up next, you’ll defend the TNA Women’s title against Awesome Kong. You know Kong very well, and have defended your belt against her on many occasions. But tonight, it seems like Kong will be very aggressive in the match. Your thoughts?” Melissa pauses, looks at her belt, and says, “You know, knowing that I’m going in with a monster, which is craving blood, would make me very, very terrified, but actually, I’m really calm right now. For some reason, I do not feel intimidated by this monster. Oh wait; every time I face Kong, I retain my belt. Every time. And this time, it will be the exact same thing. Kong should just quit. She has no chance against me. I know her just likes AJ Styles knows Joe, Cage, and Angle. Kong, find someone else to snack on.” TNA Women’s Championship: Cheerleader Melissa def. Awesome KongThese two put on great matches together, but this one was just a tad different from their other meetings. This one was a little boring, and the two were botching a little too much. The fans were into it and everything, but it just seemed like the wrestlers were not. It seemed like the two did not try at all, and for most of the match, were lazy. It was just an off night for the two and the match should have been 100x better. Nevertheless, the two wrapped up the match shorter than expect, only lasting about ten minutes, and the ending was just terrible. Kong went for an Awesome Splash, with Melissa supposed to move out of the way. However, being lazy barely moved and Kong’s face hit Melissa’s shoulder. It was a total mess, and it might have broken Kong’s nose. Melissa would retain the title with the Kondo Clutch. Rating: D+ Following the match, there is a hype video for the Monster’s Ball match. At the end, it says, “Up next!” Monster’s Ball Match: Rhino def. AbyssWith very small hype for this match, it was underestimated. These two have some great chemistry, and adding hardcore rules makes the match more entertaining. If you were someone who loves either one of these wrestlers and has a spot in your heart for hardcore wrestling, you would love this match. These two went everywhere in the arena, and after just three minutes, there was already blood spilling out of Abyss. By the eight-minute mark, both competitors were bleeding, and there were weapons and broken tables everywhere around the ring. The fans were loved the entire match, and were behind Abyss. In fact, in my opinion, this really helped Abyss stay a step ahead for most of the match. Nevertheless, this will definitely be in the next “Best of the Bloodiest Brawls” DVD. The match would end with Rhino hitting a Gore, but not just a regular Gore, but one through a flaming table. The spot was pulled off great, and will be one of the best in the night. In my opinion, it was a great finish. Rating: B- Backstage, Jeremy Borash is standing with former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle. Borash starts the interview like always with, “Kurt Angle, up next, you’ll be participating in a gauntlet match where you have a chance to reclaim your TNA Heavyweight championships. My question is, are you ready for this challenge?” Angle looks at Borash with a pathetic face, “Jeremy, are you serious? Are you damn serious? Of course, I am ready for this match. For the last month, I have been training my ass off. This maybe my last chance to win the TNA Heavyweight Championship and I have no plans to screw it up. Jeremy, this is my time to shine. This is real. It’s damn real!” TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Christian Cage def. (In Order) Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, & AJ StylesIf you tune out the medium number of botches, this was a good match. Although there were really three matches, all of them were great. All four of the wrestlers gave it their all, and to be honest, no one was lazy. The botches were mainly caused by miss-communication. However, many of the botches were unnoticeable, and none of them ruined the match. Two of the three matches lasted about ten minutes, with the crowd enjoying every single second. The only real boring match was the one with Kurt Angle. It was mostly technical wrestling, and to open a match with that was not a good idea. Nevertheless, it was still good, and I am sure ROH and pure wrestling fans would have loved it. All matches were above average, and Cage being in the ring for greater than 30 minutes was amazing, kudos for Cage. He would pick up the win when he hit the Unprettier on AJ Styles. However, after Styles recovered from the Unprettier, he blatantly attacked Cage and stared down the belt. Rating: B+ (Average) Shortly after the match, there is a commercial for TNA Turning Point, which is on November 9, 2008. Following the commercial, the camera goes backstage where Crystal Louthan is standing with Kevin Nash, who will be having his retirement match next. Crystal, with her arm wrapped around Nash’s shoulders, says, “Kevin, up next, you’ll be competing in your last match ever. I know so far you have had a great night, but wouldn’t it be better if you ended it with a win to end it, and your career?” Nash takes a moment to hold back his tears and clear his throat. He says, “Crystal, knowing this is my last match, I would really love to have a win. However, with Sting and Ric Flair going down on their back in their retirement matches, I feel I must do that too. Now, that does not mean I will purposely lose, it means that I’m giving Booker a hint. Booker hit me with your best shot. Give me a match that I can remember for the rest of my life.” Nash walks off with tears coming down his eyes. Kevin Nash Retirement Match: Booker T def. Kevin NashJesus Christ, these two are great wrestlers, and much like some of their past encounters, these two had great chemistry. The two did some great moves together, and Kevin Nash looked better than he has ever had in the past three years. He was moving around great in the ring and you could tell that he was really enjoying the match. However, eventually all good things must come to and end. At about the fifteen-minute mark, which was within four minutes of ending, Kevin Nash botched a move from the top rope and it looked as if he injured his knee. Luckily, he continued the match in pain. The only problem with the rest of the match was the slow pace and Nash constantly favoring his knee. Around the nineteen-minute mark, Booker would hit the Ax Kick and pick up the victory. Following the pin, Booker got up and pulled up Nash. The two hugged, and eventually, the entire locker room came out to honor Nash. Everyone was out there, from Johnny Devine to Disco Inferno. The send off was not as big as Sting’s, but it was still great. Rating: C After the match, a video does a quick history brief of the historic Raven and Jeff Jarrett feud that took place in the early days of TNA. One More Time (No DQ): Raven vs. Jeff Jarrett ended in a DRAWMy god, this was a great match, and a beautiful main event. This was possibly the best choice for a Bound for Glory main event in the four Bound for Glory’s TNA has had. These two, in all of their matches, have had great chemistry and, like Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes, have that special thing in the ring together. The match was full of brawling with some technical wrestling thrown in there. The fans were loved it and you could tell they wanted more and more after every minute passed. It was back and forth action, and it just could not get any better. However, this was not the best meeting these two have had. Nothing beats their first matches together. Nevertheless, this is definitely a match of the year candidate, and match of the night. The two would end up in a draw after both wrestlers were knocked out from multiple chair shots. The ending left the fans off wondering if these two will have a longer feud. It could happen… Rating: A- The show ends with Mike Tenay and Don West wishing the fans a good night. Followed by the two saying their goodbyes, there is a video showing the best highlights of the night.

You called PJB/Delirious vs. Davairi/Alex/Petey/Dux a 6 man tag, tbh.
But Jarrett and Raven laying each other out is lame.
Maybe a Clockwork Orange at the next PPV, please?

Mixed feeling about BFG. First of all, it was well written and what not. Gibson winning is cool, although I wish TBP would have won. The Kaz deal with a countout is awesome and draws heat to him. Melissa beating Kong felt right for BFG. Not a big fan of MCMG beating two better teams than them. Rhino-Abyss and how it went was expected. The title match was good, and I'm glad CC retained. The Nash send-off was well done. I was not a fan at all of the main event for a few reasons. First of all, Raven wouldn't main event a PPV now, especially BFG. Second of all, if it's TNA's Wrestlemania, it shouldn't end in a no contest. I feel like this match should have been third to last because the title match was too far down. I also feel like BFG should end feuds, not create them (like real life TNA). You have good ideas, just I feel like it could have been executed. But that match order aside, it was a good show. Please drop a reply to my ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

The image for Bound for Glory is sort of out. Great opening match, the TerrorDome bout, seemed very spaced in the opening match, and James Gibson winning only makes it better. The womens tag team match seemed fairly alright, I don't really have anything to say about that but I hope that one of the Beautiful People eventually becomes the Womens Champion and feuds with one another. I am shocked that the eight man tag team match was not good, especially with the talent used in there. I hope you push Williams [which Williams is it? Doug or Petey?] I can't say I enjoyed the booking for Kaz vs. James Gibson being on this exact show, I felt James Gibson wouldn't be able to wrestle after that specialty match. Yeah, Gibson should be X-Division Champion also. The TNA Tag Team Championship match was pretty well-received and suprisingly good considering there was two big men and two little men in that contest. Glad that Motor City Machine Guns won though. Shame about the Womens Championship match, especially since I know that both women are amazing female talents. Rhino beating Abyss is fine, but in my opinion needed another person in it to give the bout a real 'Monster's Ball' feel. Seemed like an awesome contest for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and I am glad that Christian Cage picked up the win too, awesome stuff. Wasn't expecting Kevin Nash's retirement match to be good tbh, just keep him retired, unlike WCW. The main event was awesome except from the draw finish. Like Planet Charisma said, BFG should end feuds, not continue/restart them. Nontheless a good show, but slightly overgimmicked in my opinion with one or two unnecessary matches.

Gibson winning the terrordome is cool, but I don't like the idea of Kaz walking out on the match, since it doesn't really fit into his character. Great to see the Gunns and Melissa retaining their titles. Good to see Rhino getting the win in Monsters ball, and the match sounded pretty brutal. I didn't like the match placement towards the end, the World title match should have been the main event, and if not is should have gone to Nash/ Booker before Jarrett/ Raven. Good to see Cage retaining, although I was pulling for Styles to get the title. I would have liked Nash to have gone over in his last match since Booker doesn't need the rub. I didn't like Jarrett/ Raven as the main event, and it didn't sound as good as previous bound for glory main events.

An awsome write up for BFG, Terrordome to start off yay!, Gibson in TNA is pretty cool but having the multiman x div match later was a little over the top, I love how there is segments after every match but some of the begining could have been different that just interviews, Gibson also wins belt holy but via walkout? that sucked, MCMG are champs whoo nice work building them up, Monsters Ball only 2 men? why couldn't you add more? the 4 way for the title sounded mentally crazy esp with Cage winning, I don't know why Nash retirement is higher and same with the ME, Ending of ME sounded really bad why couldn't you swap the order to Nash, Jarrett, Cage, Real nice work, keep this up, just can you reply to my Bound for Glory when its up, Good Luck

TNA Wrestling News: POST BFG News
-Sunday’s pay per view “Bound for Glory” was a huge success. It had the most buys TNA has ever had for a PPV and most reviews give the show three and a half stars. TNA President Dixie Carter told the locker room about the great PPV buys and everyone was emotional.
-As reported last week, TNA was supposed to use Booker T’s PWA as their official developmental territory. However, this week, TNA officials met with NWA Anarchy to discuss a deal. TNA has also spoken with Border City Wrestling, based in the Toronto area.
-There are only few tickets left for the live edition of TNA iMPACT from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Make sure to buy them soon before they are gone.
-The drug testing suspensions officially started today, Monday October 13, 2008. For a reminder, the wrestlers who will serve the thirty suspensions are Kurt Angle, Petey Williams, Sheik Abdul Bashir, Sonjay Dutt, and Tomko. Due to the suspension of Sonjay Dutt, the storyline between him and So Cal Val maybe dropped along with his feud with Jay Lethal.
-TNA has signed woman wrestler Taylor Wide to a one-year deal. Expect a few more knockouts signings in the coming weeks to expand the division.
-After only one match with the company, at Bound for Glory, Paul London may be asking for his release. He stated, “There is nothing wrong with the company, but rather something wrong with me. I have no love for wrestling anymore, and I just don’t feel like I’ll may an Impact on TNA like Kurt Angle, Christian, Rhino, and other former WWE wrestlers.” Paul London has lately been battling with family issues.
-Although Kevin Nash had his retirement match last night at Bound for Glory, he still has tour commitments with the National Wrestling Alliance. After the four dates he has, he plans to continue working with TNA either as a road agent or on the creative committee.
-TNA officials have not been happy with Claudio Castagnoli as of late. They say that he is not used to the style of TNA, and they may have to release him when they make their monthly roster cuts soon.
-With the low ratings for TA Xplosion on CMT, the network may change the time slot. This may also be due to the debut of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, which has a higher rating than Xplosion.
-Currently, TNA is looking for road agents and a creative team. Currently, they are in talks with many wrestling legends. However, if things are not looking too good, they may have to re-sign Vince Russo.

TNA iMPACT October 16, 2008This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT on Spike TV begins with a review video showing the best highlights from Sunday’s pay per view Bound for Glory. Followed by the video is a TNA Cross the Line advertisement. As the show opens, the camera circles the iMPACT zone with pyro exploding throughout the soundstage. Shots of screaming TNA fans flash across the screen before the camera finally settles on Mike Tenay and Don West. The two go over the events of Bound for Glory, followed by what is going down on tonight’s show, which includes X Division Six-Man Tag, the beautiful Knockouts, singles action, tag team mayhem, and the main event, featuring Christian Cage and a unknown opponent. We get started with AJ Styles in the ring with a microphone in hand. Following the opening, the camera goes to the ring where AJ Styles is standing, microphone ready. He starts saying, “Just four days ago at Bound for Glory, I faced off against the TNA World Heavyweight Champion and a old friend of my mine, Christian Cage. As most of you know, I almost had the win, but Cage hit me with the dang Unprettier out of nowhere, costing me the match. You see Christian; I am not out here just to go over what happened in the gauntlet match. I am out here t demand a rematch against you. I had the win, and in my opinion, I deserve a rematch!” When Styles stops talking, he pulls the mike away from his mouth and awaits the TNA heavyweight champion, Christian Cage. However, there is no answer. Styles began to become impatient saying, “Cage, I know you’re back there! Come out here now!” He waits for a few more seconds before saying, “Alright, Cage, you’ve let me no choice. You better watch your back in the main event. You better!” AJ Styles proceeds to drop the mike and walks off angrily. After the conclusion of the segment, there is a commercial for TNA Turning Point, which is live from the iMPACT Zone on November 9, 2008. Six Man Tag: James Gibson, Consequences Creed, & Jay Lethal def. Kaz, Johnny Devine, & Jimmy RaveLately, these X Division opening matches have been off the charts, and this one was no different. All six of these highflying, fast pace stars gave it their all, and the fans awarded them with a loud array of cheers. For the most part, they were cheering for Gibson, Creed, and Lethal, which was no surprise. However, if you listened carefully, you could hear some scattered “Let’s go Kaz” or “Rave” chants. Nevertheless, all wrestlers received the respect they earned from the fans. The quality of the match was high, and there were only one or two botches in the entire match, which lasted around ten minutes. The pace was as fast as a gazelle, and the participants were flying as high as a hawk. The fans absolutely loved it. Gibson’s team would be victorious when Lethal hit the “Lethal Combination” on Kaz. Rating: B+ Post match, James Gibson, formerly known as Jamie Noble in WWE, stood in the ring over the lifeless body of the TNA X Division Kaz. Gibson proceeds to signal for a microphone, which he receives shortly after. Gibson gets on the mike and states, “Kaz, last Sunday, you cheated your way out of the X Division title match. Aight. You got yourself counted out, therefore retaining the title. However, the thing is, you never really beat me. Like AJ Styles, I feel I too deserve a title rematch. But this time, no count out, pin fall, or submission, just us two, and the Ultimate X!” Following his challenge, Gibson drops the microphone right on the face of Kaz, followed by a cocky walk off. After the a short commercial break, TNA comes back on the air with Crystal Louthan standing with the TNA Women’s Champion, Cheerleader Melissa. Crystal Louthan begins the segment with the usual, “Melissa, Turning Point is less than a month away, and everyone knows you need an opponent. You’ve taken down Awesome Kong numerous of times, and many are stating that it’s time for a new opponent, do you think this is true?” Melissa answers immediately, “Crystal, it is a fact. I do need a new opponent. Awesome Kong is getting excessively easy for me. I know every move she can do, and when she will do it and the matches would get shorter and shorter. Because of this, I am in need of a new challenger. How am I going to solve this you may ask? Well, it is simple. Up next on iMPACT, I’ll be holding a Knockouts gauntlet, with the winner getting a shot at my title.” Knockouts Gauntlet: ODB def. Gail Kim, Christy Hemme, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, & RoxxiEven though the quality was about average, the crowd was really into the match. They loved the teaming of ODB and Roxxi throughout the match, but when Angelina Love eliminated Roxxi, they almost lost all hope. However, ODB stayed in the match as strong as can be, feeding off the cheers of loud TNA fans. Nevertheless, this match did not do too great for the ratings. The overall wrestling was good, but not great. The real problem was the high number of botches, and the match being basically a six-man tag team match. Kim, ODB, and Roxxi were working together for most of the match, while the Beautiful People working together, like always of course. Therefore, Christy Hemme was the odd ball out. The entire match lasted around ten-twelve minutes, which was a reasonable time. ODB would pick up the title shot when she hit the Running Powerslam on Velvet Sky. Rating: C- TNA iMPACT continues with Jeremy Borash standing backstage with the TNA Tag Team Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns. Borash watches MCMG talk amongst each other for a few seconds before he interrupts, “Guys, sorry for interrupting, but I would just like to congratulate you two for your win at Bound for Glory.” Borash pauses for a second as Shelley and Sabin, in unison, say, “No problem JB, thanks.” Borash continues shortly after, “However, you guys have other things to think about besides your win, you guys have to think about your belts.” Shelley interrupts saying, “Excuse me, what do you mean?” Borash answers, “I had a word with LAX earlier today, and they are challenging you two to a match at Turning Point. They want your titles.” Sabin reacts, “LAX? Wait a second JB; last time we faced LAX in a tag team match, we smoked them. Now, they want us to embarrass them again. That’s fine with me, how about you Shelley?” Shelley replies, “Oh yeah, I’m fine with that.” Jeremy Borash says, “Then I guess it’s on. You heard it TNA fans, at Turning Point, MCMG will take on LAX with the titles on the line.” Matt Morgan def. Giant BernardThis was a decent match up, nothing too much to talk about though. The match was strictly powerhouse wrestling, which the fans were not too keen on, but they coped with it. The match was mostly back and forth action, but you could tell from the beginning that Morgan was at least a step ahead. The only big problem, aside from their powerhouse wrestling, was how slow the match was. The two were running the ropes slower than Kevin Nash was, and it made the match even more boring. Luckily, the match lasted only eight minutes, and the finish was pulled off nicely. Morgan really showed in this one. He has a lot of potential, and he could be ready for a title by mid-2009. He would pick up the win when he hit a vicious Carbon Footprint, better known as a Bicycle Kick. Rating: C- Followed by the match is a commercial for next week’s live edition of TNA iMPACT in HD from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Go to TNAWrestling.com for tickets. In the back, Jeremy Borash is walking in dark, narrow hallways. Taking every step slowly, JB calls, “Abyss, are you there? Hello?” He gets halfway through the hallway when a dark figure runs across the hall. Jeremy Borash jumps and screams, “Jesus Christ! We got to get the hell out of here!” Borash runs out of the hallway, with the camera shaking like there is a strong earthquake in the process. Borash and the cameraperson get out of the hallway, catching their breath as they are exposed to light. Borash says, “Boy, Abyss got me scared. Too bad we are gonna have to go…” Borash is stopped when a head pears out of a different door leading to a different hallway, it is Abyss. Borash looks at the camera and says, “If that’s Abyss, who was in the other hallway…” Borash shrugs, answering to his own question. Who could be in the other hall, it cannot be Abyss. Motor City Machine Guns def. Beer Money Inc.Boy, oh boy, this was a great tag team match. These two teams have great chemistry together, and I would love to see these two in a feud, very near in the future. However, for some odd reason, the crowd was dead for most of the match. They just were not into it like the previous matches tonight. The weird thing was there was no reason. They were just dead, only cheering when MCMG picked up the win. Nevertheless, the match was still above average, and it fast pace and aggressive. It was almost match of the night, but the finish was screwed up a little bit, thus bringing down the quality. In addition, the main event blew this match out of the water. MCMG would pick up the win when together, they hit with the ASCS Rush. The two stayed in the ring, celebrating, until LAX came out and attacked MCMG from behind, and covering the motionless bodies with their own belts. Things are heating up between the two teams. Rating: B- The camera goes backstage, where there is commotion in Jim Cornette’s office. The participants are Booker T, Rhino, and Samoa Joe, who are complaining for an unknown reason. Finally, Jim Cornette shuts them up and screams, “What are you two babies whining about now! God, can I have one peaceful night!” Booker T answers Cornette, “We three feel that that ourselves deserve a title shot. Especially me!” The small office fills with more arguing until Cornette screams once again, giving himself a red face, “Would you guys shut the hell up!” The three calm down and the room grows silent, just for a second. Cornette yells once again, “None of you deserve a title shot with all of the complaining. In addition, I have not seen anything from any of you that make me even think about giving you people a title shot. Now, get the hell out of my office. Get out!” The three walk off, still bickering with each other. Main Event: Christian Cage def. Jeff Jarrett via DQThe streak continues, as the main event for this edition of TNA iMPACT is great, just as the previous weeks. These two have put on many good matches together in the past, and this one was much like the others. The match was back and forth, with some great wrestling, and awesome chemistry. Unlike the previous match, the crowd was hot, and was into the entire match, all fifteen minutes of it. They were cheering for Cage for the most part, but some fans who like to be rebels cheered for Jarrett. Nevertheless, it was an awesome main event, and definitely the match of the night. The only real problem was some miss-communication problems, but other than that, the match ran very smooth. Cage would pick up the win after AJ Styles interfered, like promised, and destroyed Cage. iMPACT ended with Styles standing of the bloodied Cage, with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship above his head. Rating: B+

TNA Wrestling News
-Starting next month, November, TNA will officially make NWA Anarchy, based in Georgia, their official developmental territory. The current roster will stay with the promotion, but TNA’s developmental stars will also be on the shows. To learn more about NWA Anarchy, go to their website at NWAAnarchy.net.
-TNA has officially release Paul London. He has been battling with family issues as of late and stated that the wrestling business has been boring lately. London had only one match with TNA, which was at Bound for Glory in the TerrorDome match.
-Once NWA Anarchy becomes their developmental territory, in November, they will be sending Claudio Castagnoli to the promotion. TNA officials have not been happy with his current wrestling style, hence why he has only been on Xplosion since his debut.
-Next week, TNA will be making some roster cuts. Rumors have been swirling that many X Division stars are in risk of losing their job, along with a few knockouts and other performers.
-With the small creative team, TNA has been having trouble with coming up with feuds for Turning Point and December’s PPV, Final Resolution. They plan to do something with Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett after Angle serves his suspension, but things may change.
-Speaking of creative committee, Kevin Nash is officially a member. He will be working alongside with Jeff Jarrett and three other members. TNA is looking to hire a few more, including Gabe Sapolsky, who will be leaving Ring of Honor within the next month or two.
-The tickets for next weeks TNA iMPACT live from Las Vegas, Nevada are officially sold out. However, TNA will be holding a contest on their website where the winner will receive two tickets to the event, plus a travel package, where you can stay at the Hard Rock Hotel, where the event will be held.
-TNA’s December pay per view Final Resolution will be held at the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida, just like Turning Point, which is November 9. TNA’s January, which is TBD, will be on the road, possibly in St. Louis, or even New York. Both where TNA draws well.
-In April of 2009, TNA will go on a European tour, visiting Barcelona, Spain, Munich, Germany, Madrid, Spain, and Berlin, Germany. Tickets will go on sale next month. For more info, visit TNAWrestling.com, or the TNA Germany and TNA Spain websites.
-TNA has been in talks with Rob Van Dam on an appearance for 2009. As of right now, he has not agreed to anything, but also has not rejected any offers. More news will be developing in the coming weeks.

TNA Xplosion October 18, 2008Jeremy Borash starts the show welcoming the TNA fans to this week’s edition of TNA Xplosion on CMT. He goes over what will go down tonight, which includes Beer Money Inc. taking on the Rock N’ Rave Infection, Curry Man versus Delirious, and the main event featuring Matt Morgan taking on the undefeated Claudio Castagnoli. We get started with tag team action. Beer Money Inc. def. Rock N’ Rave Infection with the D.U.I. (13:42)Rating: C+ Backstage, Jeremy Borash, the host of TNA Xplosion, is standing with Delirious. Most of the interview is Delirious babbling in his incoherent language. You could not understand anything, of course, but Borash was acting as he did. The interview ends with Delirious running off and Borash looking confused. Curry Man def. Delirious with the Spice Rack (9:14)Rating: B- Following the match, there is a commercial for Turning Point, which is on November 9, 2008, from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. Xplosion returns from a short commercial break with Jeremy Borash standing with Matt Morgan. For most of the interview, Morgan puts him over, and calls him a genetic freak. He then talks about Claudio Castagnoli. He doesn’t talk much trash, but rather saying how good he is but at the end, stating that his undefeated streak will end tonight. Matt Morgan def. Claudio Castagnoli with the Hellevator (6:44)Rating: D+ Following the match, Jeremy Borash wishes everybody a good night and reminds them to watch TNA Bound for Glory tomorrow night, and tune into TNA iMPACT every Thursday on Spike TV.

It's good to see Styles taking on a proper heelish role. The six man tag match sounded pretty good, and Kaz/ Gibson Ultimate X should be off the charts. Good to see ODB getting the title shot, and Morgan going over Bernard is fine. The dark figure segment was interesting, and the MCMG/ LAX feud is still entertaining. Styles taking out Cage was cool, and I really hope you give Styles the title soon.

I enjoyed the opening segment as it immediately showed your plans for the future of this diary. AJ playing a mastermind cocky heel is good, make him better than he was in 2003 too. The opening six-man tag team match seemed pretty good, I am happy that Jay Lethal picked up a clean victory over the X-Division Champion, Kaz. A feud going into Turning Point would be awesome. Oh forget that, maybe James Gibson could get involved too? A three way would be ace. I felt that the Knockouts gauntlet was a way to fit every into there, but at least the rating was high, near the average 'C' rating. I wasn't expecting a good match to progress from both of these men, but at least like the knockouts match, it was fair. I hope that the Motor City Machine Guns win over Beer Money Inc. will result in a future tag team championship push. The main event was pretty good, though it should of been a championship match, I mean it would attract even more viewers after TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view. I hope that Curry Man turns back to Christopher Daniels too.

I thought the six-man tag was a good match to open the show. But I'm glad Christian/AJ had a segment (good one too) before it. Not a fan of Kaz being pinned, and I hope he doesn't lose to Noble. Morgan-Bernard sounds like a good big man match. Still not a fan of MCMG beating heavyweights teams that are better than them. Really strong main event to close out the show, with the logical DQ ending. I am really liking the build to Christian/Styles. Good to see Nash still having a position with TNA. Please drop a reply to my ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

LOL! I Love how you're using Delerious. I'd like to see Morgan & Bernard eventually team up. Gabe in TNA? Hmm. Well, Blake, mi amigo, i haven't been following this as much as I'd like, especially since I was gone for most of the month, but You've got another reader, and I'd also like to say that I hope that LLL will be as good as this soon.

TNA iMPACT October 23, 2008This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT starts like most others, with a simple recap video showing the best highlights of last week’s iMPACT. Followed by the short review, there is a TNA Cross the Line video. As the show opens, the camera circles around the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fans seem hot tonight, and are going crazy, awaiting the beginning of the show. After a few more shots of the crowd, the camera settles on Mike Tenay and Don West, who go over what happened last week on TNA iMPACT. After recapping last week’s show, they go over what will go down tonight, including X Division action, tag team turmoil, awesome knockout action, and of course much more! However, the news does not end yet, as Mike Tenay announces the main event for tonight, featuring Christian Cage and Booker T taking on AJ Styles and the “King of the Mountain” Jeff Jarrett. We get started with the X Division. X Division Championship: Kaz def. Jay LethalOnce again, iMPACT opens with another grade A X Division wrestling match. Like suspected, Kaz dominated for most of the match, but with the crowd strictly behind Lethal, they gave him a burst of momentum half where through the match, which almost got him the win. However, Kaz quickly bounced back up and began to dominate once again. Nevertheless, it was a great match, and it was almost perfect. Just a few botches and that is it. Most of the match was one sided, like stated before, and was very fast pace, with a lot of highflying wrestling. However, near the end, the two began to show off their mat skills, each pushing each other to their limit. Nevertheless, all things must end, and this one lasting about ten minutes. Kaz would retain when he hit a decent Flux Capacitor. Following the match, James Gibson walked out to the ring, where Kaz and he had a stare down, with the title in between. Rating: B- After a quick commercial break, iMPACT comes back on the air with Jeremy Borash walking backstage. Near the end of the long hallway, he finds Abyss sitting in a dark corner, rocking back and forth, breathing very heavy. Borash approaches the monster, but when Abyss jumps, Borash shrieks back without saying a word. Abyss begins to talk shortly after, “There were two. There were two of them, staring me right in the eyes. Somehow, someway, they looked familiar. I will never go back again, I will never! They were about to destroy me, they were! Jeremy, don’t go back there!” Abyss stops pointing towards a door. Borash walks towards the door, but suddenly stops as the camera turns to Abyss he is hiding his face. Borash looks at the camera with a curious face and says, “I guess we are gonna go back there.” The segment ends with Borash and the camera operator walking into the hall and Abyss running away. Rock N’ Rave Infection def. Alex Koslov & Doug WilliamsThis was just a random match right here, nothing much to talk about really. The match was back and forth, as most tag team matches are. There was some highflying, but also some brawling when it came to Lance Hoyt’s turn in the ring. His skills have gotten about ten times better than his last run in TNA, and the crowd has shown a lot of support for him. Especially in this match, where the entire match, which was about eight to ten minutes, they cheered for the Rock N’ Rave Infection. There were not too many problems with this match. The two teams have decent chemistry, but not enough to pull out a above average match. However, it was still a good tag team match and definitely good for a random fill match. The best thing in the match had to be the numerous interferences from Christy Hemme, and the finish. Rock N’ Rave Infection would pick up the win when Lance Hoyt hit a Big Boot on Doug Williams. Rating: C- Following the match is a quick TNA Turning Point commercial, which is on November 9, 2008 from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. Backstage, Jeremy Borash walks into a dark, narrow hallway, looking around for the two figures Abyss saw in there earlier. However, the search is a failure, as Borash finds nothing but boxes and a few other objects. He walks out, only to find the “War Machine” Rhino standing outside, talking with a crewmember. Jeremy Borash interrupts him by asking, “Rhino, Abyss has been talking about two unknown figures in that hallway, and well, maybe you could have been one of them?” Rhino looks at Borash with a confused stare, “What do you mean?” Borash replies, “Well, we were just wondering because you had that Monsters Ball match at Bound for Glory with him, and maybe you still have something against Abyss.” Rhino responds, “JB, I certainly do not have anything against Abyss. Especially after last BFG, he is not someone to mess with.” Rhino walks off with a smirk in his face. In the back, Crystal Louthan is standing with the Beautiful People, who suffered a terrible defeat at Bound for Glory. Louthan starts the interview with those exact words, “Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, just two weeks ago, you two suffered a defeat at the hands of Gail Kim and ODB. Did you two learn your lessons?” The Beautiful People look at each other with a confused face, followed by Angelina Love answering, “Did we learn our lessons? What lessons are you talking about Crystal? Our lose at Bound for Glory has inspired us to do more and rid this world of ugliness, one person at a time. You see, there are only a few people beautiful people in this world, and two of them are here. All the girls in the back, you better watch it, because the Beautiful People are here!” The two walk off shortly after Velvet Sky kissing the camera lens. Velvet Sky w/Angelina Love def. Christy HemmeJust some simple, knockouts singles action right here. The match was back and forth for the most part, with Velvet Sky just a step ahead. However, there were some near victories for Christy Hemme, but with Angelina Love at ringside, it was nearly impossible to pick up the win. The fans were into the match for most of the time, but near the end, they got a little dead. The fan support was not the only thing that decreased, but also the quality. Three fourths of the match was good wrestling. The two had lots of chemistry, and it ran very smoothly. However, towards the end, they got lazy and the match became very sloppy. Nevertheless, the finish was decent, a tad shaky, but still good enough. Velvet Sky would pick up the win after she hit the Bicycle Kick. Following the match, the two stayed inside the ring, where they began to beat the crap out of Christy Hemme so more. However, Roxxi Laveaux came to the aid of Hemme. Another tag team feud for the Beautiful People. Rating: C+ IMPACT comes back on the air to find Jim Cornette in the six-sided ring with a clipboard and a microphone in hand. When the crowd settles down, Cornette makes a big announcement for Turning Point, “As many of you know, it is time to start our annual ‘Fight for the Right’ tournament. We, as in TNA, have been doing this tournament since 2006, and I want to make this one the best on yet! So therefore, some scouts and me have looked at sixteen of the best superstars here in TNA and around the world! The tournament, which will start next week here on iMPACT, will begin with a reverse battle royal as stage one. Following stage one, is of course, stage two! Stage 2 will consist of a single elimination tournament, featuring the final eight wrestlers in the battle royal. Finally yet importantly, the finals will take place at Turning Point, in a ladder match, with the winner receiving a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship! Here are the participants.” Jim Cornette stops as David Penzer begins to announce the sixteen wrestlers, who are: Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan, Giant Bernard, Eric Young, Curry Man, Claudio Castagnoli, Lance Hoyt, Robert Roode, James Storm, Jimmy Rave, Alex Koslov, Volador Jr., Milano Collection AT, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ultimo Guerrero, and Rey Bucanero. LAX def. Mephisto & Averno (CMLL)Pretty good match to say the least. A little ironic that LAX was facing Luchadores, but it worked out due to Mephisto and Averno working as rudos, or heels, in Mexico. Nevertheless, the action in the ring was great, and better yet, the crowd was going crazy the entire match. It was fast pace and aggressive, with a ton of highflying in there two. Hell, even the big person Hernandez was flying off turnbuckles, it was absolute madness! However, there was a big problem, miss-communication. These two had chemistry, but since Mephisto and Averno have troubles with English, in the ring, they could not get what moves LAX was calling. Because of this, there were a few botches. Not much, though, but they were noticeable. The two teams still got through it, and it was an above average match up. LAX would pick up the win when Homicide hit Da Cop Killa on Averno. Post match, LAX celebrated with Hector Guerrero at the Spanish announcers booth before leaving the iMPACT Zone. Rating: B- Before the main event, Jeremy Borash has a chance to get a word with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Christian Cage. Borash starts, “Hello TNA fans, this is JB, Jeremy Borash here with the TNA Heavyweight Champion, the ‘Instant Classic’ Christian Cage. Christian, up next, you will be teaming with Booker T, facing your opponent at Turning Point AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett. This is a really big main event, you better be getting butterflies in your stomach.” Christian replies, “Oh, you believe me JB, I do. This is the main event of a live iMPACT in HD. Why wouldn’t I be nervous? However, there are other things to be nervous about, which is my match against Styles at Turning Point. You see, Styles, I thought you and me were on good terms. But I guess we are not now. You see, unlike you state last week, you were not close to winning the title at all. Come Turning Point, we’ll see a repeat of Bound for Glory.” Christian Cage & Booker T def. AJ Styles & Jeff JarrettJesus Christ, these iMPACT main events have been doing well lately, and this one was just as good as last week’s main event. The match was back and forth for the most part, but as it is supposed to be, the heels dominated most of the match. However, that does not mean the match was necessarily a squash. Styles and Jarrett had lots of near falls, but none could keep Cage and Booker down for three. Nevertheless, it was a good match, and the fans were into it the entire time, which was about fifteen minutes. Most of the match was brawling and technical wrestling, which was perfect. The two teams had great chemistry together, and could really pull off a feud. However, that will never happen. In my eyes, this was the match of the night, and I am sure many would agree. Booker would pick up the win when he hit Styles with the Scissors Kick. As Booker stayed in the middle of the ring, Jarrett, for some reason, attacked Booker from behind. iMPACT ended with Jarrett showing of his smirk. Rating: A-
