TNA Wrestling News
-At a press conference with TNA management, they announced that November will be a foreign month. This means that foreign wrestlers, from New Japan Pro Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, will make occasional appearances in TNA.
-Once again, there could be a possibility of TNA changing their developmental territory. As of right now, it is between Booker T’s PWA and NWA Anarchy. Booker T, as expected, is behind the idea for PWA to be the developmental league. Keep checking for more updates.
-TNA’s November roster cuts will be announced the Tuesday after Turing Point. Superstars expected to be released are Doug Williams, Tyson Dux, Claudio Castagnoli, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and more.
-Along with the tours of the United Kingdom and Europe in 2009, TNA will also be visiting Mexico. TNA’s Mexico fan base has grown since Global Impact Mexico and American wrestlers have been in demand from many of the fans. TNA’s relationship with CMLL is at a all time high.
-November being foreign month, TNA will be welcoming the following CMLL stars, Felino, Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Guerrero, Mephisto, Dos Caras Jr., L.A. Park, Volador Jr., Averno, and Lizmark Jr..
-Along with the CMLL wrestlers, TNA will also welcome the following NJPW wrestlers, Fergal Devitt, Milano Collection AT, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jado, Gedo, and others.
-As of late, TNA has been looking at former NWA Tag Team Champion Karl Anderson. Word has it that Jeff Jarrett has really been watching the 28 year old and he apparently loves his wrestling. Expect a few tryout matches from Anderson in the coming weeks.
-Last night’s edition of TNA iMPACT scored a 1.4 rating. This is up from last week’s, and other previous week’s, 1.2 rating. TNA and Spike TV have been very happy with the recent ratings, which could be due to the great show qualities and in addition, advertising.
-With TNA looking to expand their X Division, along with Women’s division, they have been looking at El Hijo de Rey Misterio, cousin of Rey Misterio Jr., and women’s wrestler Sara Del Ray, who works for Ring of Honor and Shimmer. Keep checking for updates.
-Lately, TNA has been in talks with BG James to return to TNA as a road agent or on the production team. However, BG James has not accepted nor rejected any offers from the company. BG James was released from his TNA contract in early summer.
-After just two months on CMT, Xplosion may be moving to a different channel, Sun Sports. With the recent success of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling, CMT has told TNA they only want one pro wrestling program, and with the poor ratings of Xplosion, the show will most likely get the boot. Sun Sports has already spoken with TNA to carry their Saturday night television show.
-Last week, TNA began to speak with Spike TV about holding a television special on a Saturday night, during prime time. The show will be much like WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, being every four to five months. Keep checking for more updates on this news.

TNA Xplosion October 25, 2008Jeremy Borash starts the show welcoming the TNA fans to this week’s edition of TNA Xplosion on CMT. He goes over what will go down tonight, which includes the Rock N’ Rave Infection taking on CMLL’s Averno and Mephisto, X Division four way featuring Johnny Devine, Delirious, Consequences Creed, & Volador Jr., and the main event featuring Matt Morgan taking on Rhino. We get started with the X Division. Creed def. Volador Jr., Johnny Devine, & Delirious with the Creed-D-T (13:33)Rating: B- Backstage, Jeremy Borash has a pre-match interview with the Rock N’ Rave Infection. The team talks a lot of trash about Mephisto and Averno, calling them “Dirty Mexicans” and what not. They ended the interview stating that next week, Beer Money Inc. will be in debt, as rock n’ roll will infect. The entire thing was a little cheesy, but still a decent interview. Averno & Mephisto def. Rock N’ Rave Infection with the Devil’s Wings (7:56)Rating: C- Following the match is a commercial for Turning Point, which is live on PPV November 9, 2008. After the commercial break, Xplosion comes back with Jeremy Borash standing with the “Blue Print” Matt Morgan. Morgan spends most of the interview putting him over and bragging about how he was on American Gladiators and that stuff. However, he ended the interview telling Rhino that he will be giving him a run for his money tonight in the main event. Matt Morgan def. Rhino with the Hellevator (15:01)Rating: C+ Following the match, Jeremy Borash wishes the TNA fans a good night and reminds everyone to tune into TNA iMPACT every Thursday on Spike TV.

Sorry, didn't realize you had posted a new Impact. Glad Kaz won, and I really hope he doesn't lose the belt to Jamie Noble. I like how you have been using TBP, and it'd be nice to see them continue to win matches to boost their ego. Not much to comment on with the LAX & RnR infection matches. Surprised that Booker won the match for his team, pinning Styles nonetheless. Jarrett/Booker could sound promising. News & notes sound fine, and I'm glad to see Rhino jobbing on Xplosion. Overall keep this diary going as it's been going well. Please drop a reply to ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

TNA iMPACT October 30, 2008This week’s TNA iMPACT begins with a new TNA Cross the Line opening video, which is followed by a highlight video that recaps the events of last week’s iMPACT, which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the pyro explodes in the iMPACT Zone, the camera circles around the fans that are going crazy as they await the start of TNA iMPACT. After a minute or two, the camera settles on Mike Tenay and Don West, who go over what went down last week on iMPACT and the big announcement of the Fight for the Right tournament, which will start tonight. After the short review, the two announce what will happen tonight, which includes the first stage of the Fight for the Right tournament, X Division chaos, six-man women’s match, tag team turmoil, and of course, the main event, which will be AJ Styles and CMLL star Dos Caras Jr. taking on Christian Cage and NJPW legend Jushin Liger. We get started with Booker T in the ring. iMPACT begins with Booker T making his ring entrance, along with his beautiful wife Sharmel. He gets to the ring, where the ring announcer, David Penzer, hands Booker a microphone. Just a few stares at Sharmel, Booker begins to speak, “Jarrett, last week after the main event, you blatantly attacked me from behind. The question that has been on my mind this past week, keeping me from sleeping at night, is why did you attack me, Jeff? Why, I need a answer! Come out here and tell me why!” Booker puts the microphone by his side as he awaits the entrance of Jeff Jarrett. After a few minutes, Jarrett’s infamous theme song plays through the iMPACT Zone, as he makes his way towards the ring. As he walks through the ropes, you could hear Booker yelling, “Why, Jarrett?” However, there was no answer, yet. However, Jarrett proceeds to snatch the microphone from Booker’s hand. He pulls the microphone up to his lips and says, “Booker, it is very easy. Someone like you should have guessed this already. I am mad at you for retiring my good pal, Kevin Nash!” Booker looks at Jarrett with big eyes, before grabbing another microphone, which Sharmel received, “Are you serious! It was not my choice to retire Kevin Nash! He was the one who decided too…”Booker is stopped as Jarrett, who says, “Booker, that’s where you’re wrong, you see, you did have a choice. You had a choice to face him or not. If this was someone else, I would do the same to them, but you were the one who accepted the challenge.” interrupts him. Jarrett continues as Booker begins to think, “Now, since you just love challenges, I have one for you. You and I, at Turning Point, with the lose retiring!” Jarrett throws the microphone as Don West has an orgasm at the announcer’s desk. This will be incredible. Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, & Cheerleader Melissa def. Roxxi Laveaux, Christy Hemme, & ODBThis was decent knockouts action. The quality of the match was below average, but it was still watch able. The stars of the match were really Angelina Love and Christy Hemme. Those two really got at each other’s throats, and when it was just the two in the ring, the quality was about a B plus. However, with the laziness of Cheerleader Melissa, Roxxi, and Sky at times, the match really went down. However, the crowd at the iMPACT Zone was hot the entire time, cheering on the team of Roxxi, Hemme, and ODB, but it had no effect on Love, Sky, and Melissa, as they just ate up the cheers for the opposing team. Nevertheless, it was a good match, and could have been better. It was just a tad sloppy and there were too many botches. When it came to competition, it was close, but the heels seemed to be a step ahead for most of the time. They would eventually pick up the win when Melissa hit the Air Raid Crash on Christy Hemme. After the match, the Beautiful People did their post match ritual, as they placed the bags on all three opponents. Rating: C- Following a short commercial break, TNA iMPACT comes back on the air with Jeremy Borash walking backstage looking for the “Monster” Abyss. However, he has no luck for his search but instead, finds a open door, leading to a small, dark room. Borash looks at the camera and says, “Well, I guess we should walk in?” Borash walks in the room with a freaked out face. As he takes a few steps into the room, the door slams and Borash begins to freak out. He runs towards the door and tries to open the door, but it is locked. After a few seconds, the lights finally turn on, and there is a man standing in the room. The man, who is wearing red, turns around, and it turns out to be “Father” James Mitchell! After he rotates, he says to JB, “Nice to see you again Jeremy. Glad you decided to come.” Borash looks at him with a hesitated look. Mitchell says something else, as if he was replying to JB’s face, “Oh, don’t be afraid. I just wanted to get something off my chest. You know the dark figures Chris has seen in the past week?” Mitchell stops, awaiting a answer from Jeremy Borash, which is, “Yes.” Mitchell replies with a simple nod before he says, “You’re looking at him, but there is a partner in crime. Chris, you will find out at Turning Point! Hahahaha” The room gets dark suddenly as the door opens; Borash proceeds to walk out. Motor City Machine Guns def. Jado & Gedo (NJPW)Much like last week is LAX versus CMLL tag team match; this was amazing. The match was fast pace, and full of highflying action. The match was back and forth, and the fans did not know who to cheer and who to boo. They were not very familiar with Jado and Gedo, so it was kind of instinct to cheer on the home team, which was MCMG, but there was some scattered cheers for the duo from NJPW. However, no matter, how matter cheers for MCMG, they had some troubles beating Jado and Gedo. Due to their strong style, they were being very aggressive; therefore giving the tag champs a hard time. Things only got worst, too, as the referee was knocked out, and out came LAX. At first, when LAX began their attack, Sabin and Shelley tried to fight off their opponents at Turning Point, but they had no chance. Eventually, LAX ran out of the ring, but the match was still going on in the ring. It looked as if MCMG was down and out, but they pulled out the surprised win when they hit the ASCS Rush on Jado. When they won the match, they dragged their bodies to the back, with a limp in every step. Rating: B+ Backstage, Crystal Louthan is standing with the number one contender for the TNA X Division Championship, James Gibson. Crystal starts the segment stating, “James Gibson, in just two weeks, you’ll take on the TNA X Division Champion Kaz in an Ultimate X Match, and the title is on the line. However, being a rookie here in TNA this could be hard. Especially being inexperienced in an Ultimate X, taking on Kaz, who has been in a good amount of Ultimate X matches. Your thoughts?” Gibson takes a minute to think, before he says, “You know Crystal, the odds are against me. I will admit it; I have no experience in Ultimate X matches, which gives me a disadvantage. However, having more experience than Kaz in just pure wrestling, I feel that I may be able to out wrestle him. Now, I am not saying that I will win, but I am not saying that I will lose. We’ll just see what happens at Turning Point.” Gibson walks off with his confidence level at an all time high; you can tell he is ready for this match at Turning Point. James Gibson def. Jay Lethal & Tyson DuxMy god, the streak continues with another great X Division bout takes place on TNA iMPACT. Just like other X Division matches are, it was mostly back and forth, fast pace action with a ton of highflying and technical wrestling. The quality was off the charts, and if the fans were into more than they were, the rating of the match would well above average. Which it was, but the fans were not really into the first half of the match, but near they end, when it got entertaining, they got crazy. The match lasted about twelve minutes, but at about the seven or eight minute mark, they just went off the wall. Other than the decent fans, the match was good. A few botches, but X Division matches can have many mistakes. Overall, this was a great match, and match of the night as this point. Gibson would pick up the win when he executed the Pay Dirt on Tyson Dux. Following the match, James Gibson celebrated with his family at ringside. Rating: B After the match, Jeremy Borash goes backstage where he sits in the locker room with Fight for the Right participant, Samoa Joe. Borash begins the interview with, “Joe, tonight, Stage one of the Fight for the Right tournament will take place, and if you get through all of this mess, you’ll get a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.” Before Borash could finish, Samoa Joe interrupts, “That’s damn right! You see, ever since I lost my title against Cage, I have been climbing my way to the brass ring. And boy, I am only an inch away from grabbing the ring, and pulling it into my clutches. I will go through everyone in this tournament to get a shot at the title, and I leave no mercy on anyone! This is my time to shine, no one else’s! Tonight, and the next weeks, I will take on the best of the best and leave them lifeless in the ring. I am hungry for gold and Christian, be ready, because I know I am!” Samoa Joe walks off slamming his fists on the walls, getting ready for the Fight for the Right Tournament, next. Fight for the Right Tournament: Giant Bernard won the Reverse Battle Royal defeating James Storm (Advancing to Tournament: Young, Morgan, Roode, Koslov, Samoa Joe, & Milano Collection AT)Other than the fact that a “reverse” battle royal is a little corny, this was a good match. The wrestling was great, and it was just a well-put together match. However, during the match, there were times when it was clustered but once people began to be eliminated, it got a little better. The fans were on fire for the entire match, which was about twenty minutes. Of course, they were mostly cheering for the faces, Samoa Joe, Curry Man, and Eric Young more specifically. However, their cheers proved to be nothing but support, as all three were out of the match early on, especially Curry Man, who was one of the eight who did not make it into the ring, thus being eliminated. Nevertheless, the match was above average, and it was very entertaining. Giant Bernard would pick up the victory, and the number one seed in the tournament, when he hit the Bernard Bomb on James Storm. Rating: B- Following the contest is a commercial for November’s pay per view, Turning Point. The event will take place on November 9, 2008, live from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. TNA iMPACT returns form the final commercial break of the night with Crystal Louthan standing with the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Crystal begins the interview with something that has been asked quite frequently lately, “AJ Styles, in just two weeks, you’ll have a chance to regain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, which the last time you won was in 2005. The question that is on everyone’s mind is, are you ready?” AJ Styles responds very quickly, “Crystal, you can bet that I’m ready. I mean, this may be one of the biggest matches of 2008 for me. I want to end 2008 with at least one title reign, and this is my chance. Christian, if we could, I would beat your ass right now! I would go out there and fight you for your belt right now! But I would rather do it on PPV, so I can embarrass you live in front of the entire world! Cage, your end will end in just two weeks. It’s my time!” Styles walks off, putting the hood of his vest over his head before leaving. AJ Styles & Dos Caras Jr. def. Christian Cage & Jushin LigerOnce again, iMPACT ends with another great main event. This one, however, was the best in recent weeks. There was so much technical and highflying wrestling; I thought my brain was going to explode. The match was near perfect, and aside from some minor miss-communication errors, there was nothing wrong with it. The fans were into it the entire time, and they stayed cheering consistently for Styles and Caras the entire fifteen minutes. It was a tremendous atmosphere, and it was definitely the match of the night. The match, like most tag team matches are, was mostly dominated by the heels, which were Cage and Liger. However, also like most tag team matches, a momentum shifting tag from Dos Caras to Styles gave the faces a boost, and with the crowd on their side, they had the match in their hands the rest of the time. Eventually, Caras would pick up the win when he hit Cage with the Sling shot Cross body. Right after the match, Styles and Caras celebrated together as iMPACT went off the air. Rating: A-

I'm not a fan of the heavy undercard usage on this show. I liked JJ/Booker starting off the show and their match should be interesting. I like what you have been doing with TBP. Gibson winning is fine and him against Kaz has been built up really well. Reverse battle royals are dumb but this is a TNA diary so fine by me. A-Train winning is a solid choice as well. Caras pinning Cage is so random, and I don't really get the world champion getting pinned like that. Other than that, it was a well written show. Please drop a reply to ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

TNA Wrestling News
-On the last TNA iMPACT, in the main event, TNA road agents were looking heavenly on Dos Caras Jr., who is the current CMLL Heavyweight champion. They have started talks with the second-generation wrestler, but with his recent contract negotiations with WWE, things are not looking too good. Keep checking for updates in the coming weeks.
-The final two matches that will be added to the TNA Turning Point card include Booker T taking on Jeff Jarrett and six-man tag team match featuring Jado, Gedo, and Hiroshi Tanahashi on New Japan Pro Wrestling taking on Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, and L.A. Park of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
-It was officially announced earlier this week that TNA has began contract negotiations with NWA pro wrestler, Karl Anderson. Anderson, who teams with Joey Ryan in NWA and is on tour with NJPW, has said to be happy with the offer, but he has not accepted yet. More updates will be up next week.
-This week’s edition of TNA iMPACT scored a 1.3 cable rating. It seems the absence of Kurt Angle has not affected the recent rating as they have been the highest TNA has seen in their television history.
-TNA has officially come to the terms to make PWA, owned by Booker T, their official developmental territory. The promotion will officially be their developmental territory next month, as they send down Claudio Castagnoli and Tyson Dux.
-TNA has come to the terms to release of Doug Williams. TNA wishes him the best in all of his future endeavors.
-TNA has signed former WWE and TNA star BG James to a staff contract as a road agent. He plans to wrestle a few matches here and then on TNA programming in the near future.
-In late December, TNA and Spike TV will be hosting a special Saturday TNA program, much like WWE’s SNME, that will be titled “This is TNA”. The show will be two hours and will be much like a pay per view but on free television. Spike TV plans to have many more of these specials in the future.
-Once again, we leave our weekly report with big news, as TNA president Dixie Carter announced earlier today that a celebrity is in talks with TNA to come in for an angle in late January, early February of 2009. There have been no rumors on the celebrity as TNA has been trying to keep the secret to them.

TNA Xplosion November 1, 2008Jeremy Borash starts the show welcoming the TNA fans to this week’s edition of TNA Xplosion on CMT. He goes over what will go down tonight, which includes the Claudio Castagnoli’s open challenge, Consequences Creed facing off against two X Division stars and the main event featuring Beer Money Inc. taking on the Rock N’ Rave Infection. We get started with Claudio Castagnoli in the ring. Claudio Castagnoli def. Shark Boy with the Ricola Bomb (5:47)Rating: N/A Following the match, Jeremy Borash interviews Consequences Creed. For most of the interview, he was putting himself over and stating that he will regain his TNA X Division championship and become a two-time champion. He ends the interview challenging Kaz to a match on iMPACT next week. Consequences Creed def. Delirious & Curry Man with the Creed-D-T (12:49)Rating: C+ After the match, there is a commercial for TNA Turning Point, which is on November 9, 2008, live on PPV from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. After the commercial break, Jeremy Borash interviews the TNA Tag Team Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns. The team talks a lot about how they’ve been watching these two teams in the main event closely and how they could be facing them in just a few weeks. They finish off the interview saying, however, who ever takes them on has no chance. Beer Money Inc. def. Rock N’ Rave Infection with the D.U.I. (17:31)Rating: C+ Following the match, Jeremy Borash wishes the TNA fans a good night and reminds everyone to tune into TNA iMPACT every Thursday on Spike TV.

Oh, wow, I love the sound of that international six man tag. It will be interesting to see Booker's PWA involved now. Man, too bad that Claudio is gonna leave soon, hopefully you can repackage him or something. Hm, "This is TNA" hopefully that becomes big... under a new name. MCMG vs. Jado & Gedo! Keep them!

Seems like a good card, especially the six-man womens match. The show-opening segment involving Booker T and Sharmell was interesting, seemed pretty well placed too. A feud with Booker T and Jeff Jarrett wouldn't be the worst of decisions. Anyways, the six woman tag team match was pretty decent, it was good to see Velvet, Love and Melissa pick up the win over the faces, and the grade was pretty respectable considering it featured Christy Hemme. Father James Mitchell returning is awesome news, especially since he is possibly now alligned with Abyss once again. The cross-brand tag team match between MCMG and Jado and Gedo was predictably awesome and amazing all in one. I always love MCMG being on iMPACT, they pull off great matches for some reason better than those on pay-per-views imo. Gibson seeming confident about Ultimate X could involve some sort of an incident, hmm, wonder what could get in his way. The triple threat match was equally amazing, though I have to say, do something with Jay Lethal please, he is too good to be wasted like this. Not in the X-Division either, put him upper the card but not too close to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Very interesting battle royal here, liked that Giant Bernard won the match but failed to advance. Milano Collection AT advancing is genius, though for some reason makes it obvious that Joe will win. That international tag team match was also amazing. You should of hosted this on PPV to be honest, or another Global iMPACT for that matter. Speaking of Global iMPACT, I hope you post coverage of the Tokyo Dome January 4th show involving TNA guys as well. AJ having the advantage getting closer to Turning Point is interesting. Poor Dough Williams, such good talent, wasted away. This Is TNA sounds average, you should rename it. Don't do a David Arquette with TNA please. I hope the Rock N Rave Infection eventually move it on up to the main iMPACT show.

TNA iMPACT November 6, 2008This week’s TNA iMPACT begins with the TNA Cross the Line opening video. Following the opening, there is a recap video showing the highlights of last week’s edition of TNA iMPACT. The pyro explodes as the crowd in the iMPACT Zone erupts, with the camera circling around the screaming fans. After just a few shots, the camera settles on Mike Tenay and Don West, who briefly recap last week’s episode of TNA iMPACT. The two continue with what will go down on tonight’s program, which includes the first round of the Fight for the Right tournament stage two, X Division action, the beautiful knockouts, and of course much more. However, before the opening match, the Tenay announces the main event for tonight, which is Christian Cage, LAX, & Kaz taking on AJ Styles, the Motor City Machine Guns, & James Gibson. We get started with the X Division. Jay Lethal def. Curry Man, Tyson Dux, & Johnny DevineThis was a decent opener, but it was nothing like previous weeks. The match was back and forth, and it was basically a tag team match. Lethal and Curry Man worked together being the baby faces in the match, while Dux and Devine, the fellow Canadians, worked as a team, and boy, did they have some chemistry. Those two were pulling off some great double team maneuvers, and they looked like they almost had the win. However, with the constant cheers from the fans giving momentum to Curry Man and Lethal, they would always get out of the predicament. Nevertheless, it was still an above average, eight-minute match. Lethal would end up to be the victor when he hit the Lethal Combination of Johnny Devine. Following the match, Devine and Dux stayed in the ring and shook hands. Could we be witnessing a possible Team Canada reunion soon, I hope so. Rating: C+ Backstage, the gorgeous Crystal Louthan is standing with the also gorgeous, Christy Hemme. Louthan begins the interview saying, “Christy, these past few weeks have been tough ones for you. The Beautiful People have been harassing you non-stop and tensions are rising between you and them. Could we see a possible match at Turning Point this Sunday?” Christy Hemme answers very quickly, “You know Crystal, I am so glad you brought that subject up. In fact, there will be a match this Sunday at Turning Point. I have talked to Jim Cornette about it, and he has confirmed that I’ll be taking you two on in a tag team match!” After Christy stops talking. Crystal asks one last question, “Christy, if the match this Sunday is a tag team match, who will be your partner?” Hemme responds quickly, “Oh, I almost forgot about that. Angelina, Velvet, my partner will be someone else who has had enough with you two, Roxxi Laveaux!” Christy Hemme w/Roxxi Laveaux def. Velvet Sky w/Angelina Love via DQThere is not nothing much to say about this one, just a simple match to add more heat to the feud. The match was back and forth, and the crowd was just as they were in the previous match, cheering for Hemme and only Hemme. The quality was decent, but since Hemme has not wrestled much lately, she had some ring rust. Other than that, both competitors worked their butts off to put on an entertaining match, and a entertaining match it was. As I said earlier, the fans were into most of the match. However, near the end, they just got a little bored and gave up. It was just a very predictable match, and there were some miss-communication issues, mostly due to Hemme’s ring rust. Nevertheless, it was still a decent knockouts match, and the ending was good. It started with Angelina Love spraying the eyes of the referee hairspray, following a double team on Hemme. However, Roxxi came in and tried to fight them off, but she was outnumbered. Sky would proceed to hit the Diving Cross body. However, the referee quickly disqualified the two. The two retaliated and knocked out Christy, Roxxi, and even the referee. The segment would end with the two placing the paper bags on the heads once again. Rating: C- After the match, we go to the locker room where Jeremy Borash is sitting with Tomko’s tag team partner, Giant Bernard. Borash starts the interview congratulating Bernard, “Giant Bernard, I would just like to say congrats on your big win last week, you’ll now have a chance to when the coveted TNA World Heavyweight Championship. However, with that aside, there are still a few people you must go through, including the former TNA champion, Samoa Joe, your thoughts?” Giant Bernard sits there for a second, thinking over what JB had just said before saying, “Yes, Samoa Joe could end my hopes of winning the TNA Heavyweight Championship, but he is the only one that stands against me. You see, Samoa Joe may have been undefeated earlier in TNA, but that does not mean he is still a powerful force. If it comes down to him and me the better, stronger man will win. That’ll be me!” Fight for the Right Tournament: Giant Bernard def. Alex KoslovThis was a decent tournament match, nothing too spectacular however. To the fans surprise, the match was not a squash match. In fact, Koslov almost had the win a couple of times. However, Bernard, being the monster he is, would kick out with no hassle and would continue the match. The overall quality of wrestling, which is the key part of the match, was ok, but it should have been better. It was average, at least, but in my opinion, the match did not start until the finish. The big problems were botching and laziness. Bernard seemed to be on his a game, while Koslov was slacking, which caused the excessive botching. As for the crowd aspect of the match, the iMPACT Zone was mostly cheering for Alex Koslov, even though he despises the American culture. Nevertheless, it was still a good match, and for the ten minutes, the two were in the ring, the fans still watched. Giant Bernard would advance to the second round when he hit the Bernard Bomb. The crowd was pissed off. Rating: C Following the match, there is a TNA Turning Point advertisement. Turning Point will be live on PPV from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida, on November 9, 2008. Back from the commercial break is Jeremy Borash backstage with the “Monster” Abyss. Without saying a word, Abyss starts the interview saying, “Jeremy Borash, no need to ask me any questions. This Sunday, I will be facing my worst nightmare! I cannot do this! The stress, the anger, the fear has all came down upon me. I try to control myself but no can do! I thought therapy helped me!” Borash stops Abyss and tries to clam him down by stating, “Abyss, you don’t even know who your opponent will be. How could you be scared?” Abyss looks at JB as his eyes grow big, “I am scared of James Mitchell. He tortured me for years, and I thought he was gone for good. Now look! This is not looking good. Who could it be, Jeremy! Who could it be?” Borash, as Abyss grabs his neck says in a hesitated way, “Black Reign or Rellik?” Abyss drops Borash and walks off, taking a nervous breath every step. Fight for the Right Tournament: Matt Morgan def. James Storm w/Robert Roode via DQThis was not that great of a match, but it still kept the fans awake. Unlike the previous match, the fans thought correctly, as Morgan would just manhandle poor Storm. I mean, the entire seven minutes they wrestled, James only had five to ten offensive moves on Morgan, and all were ineffective. It was just ridiculous. The fans were enjoying the slaughter because Morgan seems to be a fan favorite, but some were cheering for Storm, trying to give him at least some momentum. However, it did nothing, and Morgan would destroy Storm, with his tag team partner Robert Roode on the sidelines. Finally, after a few minutes of agony, Robert Roode took Storm out of his misery when he ran into the ring and attacked Matt Morgan. The referee, who was Earl Hebner, signaled for the bell and Morgan is victorious. Even after the bell, however, the action would continue, as Morgan would destroy Roode, leaving the two motionless in the ring as he bounces the ropes up and down. Rating: N/A Shortly after the match, the camera goes backstage where Booker T is standing with TNA’s interview specialist, Crystal Louthan. Crystal starts going over Jarrett’s challenge from last week, “Booker T, two weeks ago, Jeff Jarrett attacked you, and just last week, he challenged you too a match at Turning Point, seeking revenge for putting Kevin Nash out of wrestling. The question that is on everyone’s mind is; do you accept the challenge?” Booker, without hesitation, answers, “Of course, Crystal. I do accept the challenge. You see Jarrett and me go back to WCW. And to take him on, one more time is great. However, why Jarrett wants to do this is beyond me. He says he wants revenge on me for taking Nash, his friend, out of the business. When, actually, he was the one retiring. Good concept if his career was on the line if he lost, but bad concept when he announced it would be his final match. Nice job, Jarrett, you have officially reached the first grade level.” Booker walks off with his wife Sharmel. Fight for the Right Tournament: Samoa Joe def. Eric YoungUnlike the previous matches, this was just a friendly tournament match. However, it was a one sided affair, but by no means was it a squash. Actually, Samoa Joe seemed to go easy on Young, but none of Eric’s moves had an affect on the “Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe. Overall, the wrestling was fine and definitely the ten minutes. It was fast pace and the two had great chemistry, if Young would get to the main event, which most likely wont happen, these two would put on a good feud. The only problem would be the fans. These two being fan favorites hurt the match; they just did not know who to cheer for, Samoa Joe or Eric Young. Nevertheless, the iMPACT Zone was split half-and-half, and it ended up being a decent fan reaction. As expected, Samoa Joe would pick up the win after he hit the Muscle Buster, followed by the Coquina Clutch, which forced Young to submit. Joe quickly broke the hold and shook hands with the loveable Eric Young, showing a sign of respect. Rating: B- Tune into TNA Xplosion to watch the other first round match. In the locker room, Jeremy Borash has a talk with the number one contenders, the Latin American Xchange. Borash begins the segment saying, “Boys, you are only three days away before you get a chance to retake the TNA Tag Team Championships, which you lost a few months ago. My question is, are you two ready for Turning Point?” The two look at each other before Homicide states, “JB, of course we are ready. It is time for LAX to represent the Latino nations out there, and this will finally earn us respect. Another title reign will earn us respect.” The camera turns to Hernandez, who says, “Yes, this is our chance to earn respect. We as LAX represent Puerto Rico, Mexico, Central American, and all of our fellow Latinos. Jeremy, this Sunday, we will take what is rightfully ours. We will take the tag team championships!” He stops and the two say in unison, “REPRESENT!” TNA iMPACT continues with Jim Cornette in his office as Hiroshi Tanahashi, Gedo, and Jado make their way into the office, followed by CMLL’s Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, and L.A. Park. Cornette welcomes the foreign wrestlers and says, “Welcome CMLL and NJPW wrestlers. I am in a happy mood, and I am sure none of you will bother me. Anyways, you may be wondering why you are here, and I have just the answer. With November being foreign exchange month, and Turning Point being the November pay per view, I have scheduled a six-man tag team match for this Sunday at Turning Point. I feel you people can put on a great match and really make those fans in the iMPACT Zone happy. See you this Sunday.” Main Event: Christian Cage, Kaz, & LAX def. AJ Styles, James Gibson, & Motor City Machine GunsLooking at the past main events, this one was not that great. The chemistry was fine, but there should have been more. With so many styles in the match, however, it was hard to work together, and it often led to a cluster. However, even with the below average wrestling, the crowd was really into this match. They were getting a kick out of cheering for the face team, and they just loved booing the crap out of the heels. Even with the support, these eight men just had problems putting a good match together. In my opinion, if it were a six-man tag team match, it would have been ten times better. Overall, this was still a good match, but it should have been much better. I mean, way, way, much better. This was not even the match of the night, the opener was. It was indeed a embarrassment, but like I said, there were too many participants. Eight man tag team matches just do not seem to go well. The match would end after seventeen minutes when Kaz hit the Flux Capacitor on Alex Shelley. Following the match, everyone in the match brawled as iMPACT went off the air. Rating: C- TNA iMPACT goes off the air after a highlight video showing the build up to TNA Turning Point, which is this Sunday on PPV, live from the iMPACT Zone.

Can't wait to see who wins FFTR. Damnit, I was pushing for Eric Young. Giant Bernard should be pushed to the roof, he would be really fresh and new as a top guy. International exchanges are always awesome, you do good with foreign guys. None of the matches were overly exciting, but I cannot wait for Turning Point.

Good Impact. Nothing amazing, but a good go-home show for TP. I feel like there are too many matches though. AJ-Christian is a great match and I expect AJ to win, although I'd be fine either way. I really hope Kaz retains his belt, and a 1-on-1 UX is certainly interesting. And I'd like to see MCMG drop the tag belts to the better team. The women's tag match is good, and I'm really interested in JJ-Booker. Keep up the good work, and please drop a reply to ECW 2007 when you get a chance.

TNA Xplosion November 8, 2008Jeremy Borash starts the show welcoming the TNA fans to this week’s edition of TNA Xplosion on CMT. He goes over what will go down tonight, which includes the Fight for the Right tournament first round match featuring Robert Roode taking Milano Collection AT of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Also tonight is the Fight for the Right semi-finals featuring Giant Bernard, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan, and the winner of the Roode and Milano Collection AT match. We get started with the first round match. Milano Collection AT def. Robert Roode with the Italian Revolution (7:43)Rating: C- After the match, Jeremy Borash has a word with Samoa Joe, who in the next match will take on Matt Morgan. Joe talks a lot about his journey to superstardom. He continues, saying that he lost everything in a New York minute. He leaves the interview after saying that at Turning Point, if he wins tonight, he will win the ladder match and get the shot at what is rightfully his, the TNA Heavyweight Championship. Samoa Joe def. Matt Morgan with the Muscle Buster/Coquina Clutch Special (12:21)Rating: D+ Following the match, there is a commercial for Turning Point, which is tomorrow night, live on PPV from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. When Xplosion returns from the commercial break, Jeremy Borash interviews Giant Bernard, who will face a weakened Milano Collection AT who fought earlier tonight. Bernard talks about his rise in the wrestling business and the competition was like in Japan. He states that if he was to win tonight and at Turning Point, this could be a big break for himself in America. Giant Bernard def. Milano Collection AT with the Bernard Bomb (11:11)Rating: B Following the match, Jeremy Borash wishes the TNA fans a good night and reminds everyone to tune into TNA iMPACT every Thursday on Spike TV. He also reminds everyone to order TNA Turning Point, which is tomorrow night live on PPV in Orlando, Florida at the iMPACT Zone. Xplosion ends with a video showing the highlights of the build up for TNA Turning Point.

Xplosion was pretty good man. Not much to say, besides push Bernard to the roof. Milano Collection AT is great, would like to see more of him. Can't wait for Turning Point man.

TNA Turning Point November 9, 2008TNA Turning Point begins with an opening video showing the build up to this pay per view. Shortly after the video, the camera circles the screaming fans at the iMPACT Zone as a fantastic display of pyro goes on above in the rafters. The camera would settle on Mike Tenay and Don West who welcome the fans to TNA Turning Point, live on PPV. The two go over what has happened in the previous weeks before they go down the card for tonight, which includes all four titles on the line and much more. The opening contest for tonight features Team CMLL consisting of Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero, and L.A. Park taking on Team NJPW of Jado, Gedo, and Hiroshi Tanahashi. They remind that this show is on the internet free. International Six-Man Tag: Jado, Gedo, & Tanahashi def. Guerrero, Bucanero, & L.A. ParkThis was definitely a nice way to being the show, but if it were in the mid-card, it would not have been good enough. The quality was off the charts, but since these wrestlers were from Mexico and Japan, the fans just did not give a crap. Not only that, but they had no clue who they were. Due to this, they had no idea to cheer for, and the crowd was pretty much dead, aside from a few smarks in the crowd. Nevertheless, the match was full of great fast pace and pure wrestling. It was mostly back and forth, but Team New Japan looked to have the win early on. Overall, I would say this was an above average match, and if you held this match in Japan or Mexico, it would have been ten times better. The match would end after Hiroshi Tanahashi hit the Dragon Suplex on Rey Bucanero. After the match, the six men stood in the ring, raising the hands of each other in celebration, with no one cheering. Rating: B- Following the match, Jeremy Borash is backstage with the TNA X Division Champion, Kaz. Borash rushes into the interview saying, “Kaz, in the next match, you take on James Gibson. Now, you two have been at each other’s throats for a month, and this is the match to end it. Your title is on the line, and you are facing a man who has competed in WCW and WWE. Your thoughts?” Kaz thinks about Borash’s words for a second before he says, “JB, there is no doubt that Gibson is a great wrestler. Yes, he does have more experience than I do, but the problem is, who has succeeded more in their career. Ah hah, me, James, that is right, I have done more in TNA than you has done in your life! James, I have respect for you, but everyone out there knows that I am going to retain my title. Like me hate me me, you know it, and you must face the future. You must face, me, Kaz!” TNA X Division Championship (Ultimate X): Kaz def. James GibsonMy god, this was probably the best match I have ever seen in my entire life. It was fast pace, aggressive, and was full of crazy, highflying moves. This match made some of the Super Junior matches in the Japan look wimpy. It was back and forth, and the two never stopped. They gave it their all, but the sad thing was the fans did not go through with their deal. For most of the match, the crowd was dead much like the previous match. By this time, you could tell that most of the fans did not care about these opening matches. They cared about the main event matches later on the card. Even though the crowd sucked, it was still a good match. Now, if the fans were a little more rowdy, this could have been match of the night and even match of the year candidate. The two gave it their all, and I wish the fans would have. Kaz would end up retaining his X Division title when he hit a Cutter, much like the one he did in a previous Ultimate X match, from the ropes. That awoke the fans, but it was already too late. The match lasted about fifteen minutes, and it was great. All of the spots were great I would like to add. Rating: B+ Backstage, Crystal Louthan conducts an interview with ODB, who tonight will take on Cheerleader Melissa for the TNA Women’s Championship. Crystal starts the interview by saying, “ODB, tonight is your chance to become the number one knockout in TNA by winning the TNA Women’s Championship. This may be the biggest night in your wrestling career, what do you think about that?” ODB grabs her flask, takes a sip, and says, “What do I think about that! It is pretty simple. I am just going to go out there and go crazy on Cheerleader Melissa. ODBMania is running wild! YEAH!” Louthan replies to ODB, “ODB, you seem a little out of focus. Are you sure you can win the title tonight?” ODB looks at Crystal as if she just killed someone, “Are you serious? The booze just gets me warmed up! I am focus, and Melissa, I hope you are two, because I want this to be a fight. You see, you aren’t facing Awesome Kong, you’re facing the ODB!” TNA Women’s Championship: ODB def. Cheerleader MelissaThis was an ok match, but not as good as the past TNA Women’s Championship matches. The big problem was chemistry. These two are both great, talented wrestlers. However, together, they are worth nothing. Their in ring psychology is not what they wanted, and with this came a lot of miss-communication. Yeah, the fans were interested and the quality was average, or at least a little below average, but the two just were not getting it together in the ring. It was mostly back and forth, but for some reason, it looked as if Melissa, the Women’s champion, had the victory early on. However, with the fans pumping momentum into ODB’s bloodstream, she would quickly bounce back and dominate in the last four minutes of the thirteen-minute match. ODBMania was truly running wild, and eventually, ODB would pick up the win and get the TNA Women’s Championship when she hit the Running Powerslam. The crowd exploded in delight, if only the match was a tad bit better. Overall, it was solid, but could have been better. Rating: C- When the match ends, there is a commercial for TNA Final Resolution, which is live on PPV December 7, 2008 from the iMPACT Zone in Orlando, Florida. After the commercial, Jeremy Borash has a quick word with James Mitchell, who tonight will have his henchmen take on Abyss. Borash asks Mitchell a question that has been on many people’s minds, “James Mitchell, your return to TNA has been quite shocking, and everyone wants to know, who will be Abyss’ opponent tonight in the next match?” Mitchell does not give a straight answer, but he give clues, “Well, about this time last year, Abyss dealt with many monsters. He had many demons and all I can tell you is this henchmen is very familiar with Abyss and his wicked ways. There is no doubt that this match tonight could turn out into a bloody mess. I am not going to tell you the exact name, but rather, I want all of you to think about in your head, the way Abyss has for the past few weeks. Go ahead; think. You’ll find out that it’ll be next, so be ready, you’re in for a surprise!” Mitchell does his infamous grin before he walks off for his henchmen’s match against the “Monster” Abyss. Mitchell’s Challenge: Judas Mesias def. AbyssEven though the entrance of Judas Mesias was epic, it was very predictable that Mesias would be Abyss’ opponent tonight. The match itself was not that bad. Their past meetings have been average, but this one was off the charts. The match really entertained the crowd and you could tell this feud will continue, especially when it became over in the first match. The match was mostly one sided, with Mesias dominating Abyss. The reason is obvious; Abyss was too scared to touch Mesias. Even though he had the feat, eventually he would attack Abyss, but it was too late. He did get some offense, but it was too little. By the eleven-minute mark, by the way, the match lasted eighteen minutes, Abyss became bloody, and Mesias was laying him down with chairs and barbwire as the referee was down. In just six minutes, Abyss was put out of his misery when he hit the Straight to Hell through a table. Following the match, Mesias licked Abyss’ blood from his hand as Mitchell stood there laughing. Rating: B After the match, there is a promo video showing the build up of the Fight for the Right tournament finals. The video puts emphasis on the finalists, who are Giant Bernard and Samoa Joe. In the video, they interview the two, and they both state that a win tonight could boost their careers and make them legitimate wrestlers in Total Nonstop Action. The video ends with Bernard and Joe going face to face. Fight for the Right Finals (Ladder Match, Winner gets title shot): Giant Bernard def. Samoa JoeBeing one of the best matches of the night the fans really enjoyed this one. It was, however, a tad slow but the powerhouse wrestling was insane, and with ladders involved, things almost got out of hand. By the six-minute mark, both competitors were bleeding, and heavenly I might add. Nevertheless, the match was mostly back and forth, but there were many close finishes. Overall, the quality was great, and the fans were into it. They mostly cheered for Samoa Joe, of course, but to my surprise, Bernard got some cheers also. The match would last about thirteen minutes, which was a little too short. However, it was most likely due to the massive blood loss of the wrestlers, and if they stayed in there too long, they could get some health issues. The only real problems in this match were botching and slowness. Bernard, who has not had experience in ladder matches, was hesitant climbing up the ladder and went slow. As for the botching, there was about five or six major botches, one was in the finish where Bernard accidentally went down with the ladder Joe was on, so the two had to use their improvisation skills to work out another finish. Giant Bernard would win the match, and a title shot, when he hit the Bernard Bomb, and proceeded to climb up the ladder, thus getting the contract. Rating: B- In the back, Crystal Louthan has a pre-match interview with the TNA Tag Team Champions, the Motor City Machine Guns. Crystal begins the interview with her usual, “Motor City Machine Guns, in just a few minutes, you two will defend your TNA Tag Team Championships against a team you are very familiar with, LAX. Are you guys nervous?” Alex Shelley, who usually leads MCMG’s interviews, says, “Crystal, there is no need to be nervous for just a simple title match. Especially when the team you are facing is a team, we have beaten many times before. We know your every move, LAX. Are you two ready for another ass whooping?” Shelley walks away as Sabin gets in the camera view, “What Alex just said is the truth. No one in TNA, besides maybe Triple X, who are not here anymore, know LAX better than we do. LAX, tonight, we will retain what is rightfully ours, the TNA Tag Team Championships. You people might have been raised in Mexico or some poor nation, but we were raised in Detroit. There is no place in the entire world the compares to Detroit! We are experienced. LAX, this will be your last match against us.” The two walk off, putting their title belts on their shoulders. TNA Tag Team Championship: Motor City Machine Guns def. LAXThese two teams are the best in TNA right now, and their encounters before have been great, but this was a complete let down. I have no clue what was wrong, but both teams were lazy throughout the match, there were many botches and miss-communication errors. For some reason, everyone in the match was being sloppier than ever. It was a train wreck, and the fans responded. The entire match, from start to finish, the fans were completely quite. It was a terrible site, and many people in the iMPACT Zone just could not watch. It was an embarrassment, and most of all, a surprise. These are grade A performers, and tonight, they were just out of it. The match was back and forth, but MCMG looked to have it in their hands early on. It is a shame the match was below average. If it was 100 xs better, this could be the match of the night. The match would only last nine minutes, and the finish was actually pulled of pretty well. The Motor City Machine Guns would retain the TNA Tag Team titles when they hit the ASCS Rush on Homicide. Rating: D+ Directly after the match, there is a commercial for the new TNA DVD, Kurt Angle: Champion. The DVD features Angle’s top matches in TNA and interviews with Bruno Sammarintino, AJ Styles, Karen Angle, and many more. The DVD is scheduled to release on November 25, 2008. For more info, visit TNA’s website. Following the advertisement is Jeremy Borash standing with the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage, who up next will defend against the “Phenomenal” AJ Styles. Borash begins the segment after welcoming Christian Cage saying, “Christian Cage, nice to have you back here, how are you doing?” Cage replies in a nice and mannerly way, “JB, I’m doing fine, how about you?” Borash answers and says, “I’m doing just fine. However, up next, you may not be doing fine as AJ Styles, who is hungry for gold, will get a shot at your TNA World Heavyweight Championship. This is a big match, your thoughts?” Cage, hesitant to admit, says, “Jeremy, I...I have too admit, I’m a little scarred of Styles. I mean, he is one of the greatest wrestlers in TNA history, being the first Triple Crown champion and all. This is indeed a big match, and it is natural to be a tad nervous. But the problem is, I am shaking in my boots. To calm me down, before I go out there, I am going to take some deep breaths and think about, well, I guess think about my future endeavors.” Christian Cage walks away from the camera as Borash says, “What does he mean by future endeavors?” TNA World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles def. Christian CageMy god, this was definitely the match of the night. Not only was it that, but it may also be match of the year candidate. It was full of technical wrestling, and even some highflying from both participants. Coming off the last lackluster match, the fans were happy to see some excellent, A+ action. These two have the most chemistry together I have ever seen, and you can bet money that there will be more matches to come with these going at it. However, there is never such thing as a perfect match. This one had its fair share of problems, with the biggest being the usual botching. There were a decent amount of botches in the match, and all of them were very noticeable. Other than that, it was a great, twenty-minute match. It was back and forth, and the crowd was about fifty, fifty. Near the end, it looked like Christian Cage was about to pick up the win. He almost had the Unprettier executed a couple of times, but Styles would get out of them. In just a few minutes of Cage trying to pick up the win, Styles hit the Pele Kick, turning the tides one last time. Styles would proceed to get up and hit the Styles Clash for the victory and the title win. He stayed in the ring, kneeling down as Rudy Charles handed him the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. AJ Styles has won his fourth TNA Heavyweight Championship. Rating: A- After the celebration, the camera goes backstage with Jeremy Borash, who finds Jeff Jarrett sitting in the locker room watching AJ Styles in the ring on a television monitor. Borash, who scares Jarrett says, “Jeff, it looks as if you are ready for your match against Booker T next.” Jarrett replies “Don’t scare me like that, Jeremy. But yes, I am 100% ready for my match against Booker T next. You see Booker, like AJ Styles, I too am a multiple TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Let us put that aside though, I just wanted to brag. What I really want to say is, Booker, you took on my good pal, Kevin Nash, a month ago. You pinned him in his retirement match, that was uncalled for, and tonight, I seek revenge. Yes, you may say it does not make sense, but to me it does. And tonight, you’ll see why.” Jarrett walks off, carrying his guitar. What does Jarrett have in stored for Jarrett? Revenge Match: Booker T def. Jeff Jarrett via DQAnother great match here, but nowhere near as good as the previous match, and I mean nowhere. The in ring action was great, and the fans were really enjoying the tweener characters of both wrestlers. Due to this, they did not really know who cheer for, so instead, they booed the hell out of both. The atmosphere was incredible, and you could tell not the only the fans, but Jarrett and Booker in the ring were having fun too. The match lasted about 15-18 minutes, which was the exact right amount of time. Most of the match was brawling, with Jarrett in the driver’s seat. Booker T just could not get momentum, and Jarrett was feeding off the constant boos from the crowd. Towards the end of the match, the two got a little lazy, but the quality was still average. Booker T started to dominate a little, and almost had the win when he hit the Scissors Kick, but the unexpected happened. Right before the pin, Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner walked out from the back and attacked Booker, with Jarrett joining them. What was going on? Nash is supposed to be retired and same goes for Steiner. Mike Tenay and Don West started to have orgasms at the announce booth as Steiner, Nash, and Jarrett stood in the ring raising each other’s hands. Rating: B TNA Turning Point would go off the air with Jarrett, Nash, and Steiner standing in the ring with grins on their faces, followed by a closing video showing the highlights of tonight’s show.
