WWE has issued the following statement:
After a successful decade of "SmackDown" on both UPN and The CW, World Wrestling Entertainment and The CW have agreed to conclude our partnership. Since The CW's exclusive negotiation period ran out as of last Thursday, January 31, we have been contacted and have been in negotiations with other networks. "WWE SmackDown" will continue to air on The CW until the conclusion of the 2007-08 broadcast season. We are grateful to Les Moonves, Dawn Ostroff, and their entire organization for bringing "WWE SmackDown" to millions of viewers for so many years.

YES!!!
Now Smackdown won't be constantly not shown, and in its place I get a high school or women's college basketball game (at least here in "Wildcat country")
Kinda sad to see it leave CW though

Awesome, the only station that the WWE broadcasts on that I have in HD and they're moving SmackDown elsewhere. USA Network will probably pick it up.

I can only lie to myself so much.

I hope Sci Fi doesn't get SD, as I don't get Sci Fi.
Hopefully USA. Is there any chance that Smackdown can go Live?

Smackdown is supposed to be the "network TV" wrestling show. The show that you can watch without having to have cable. I wouldn't be shocked if it popped up on NBC.

I've always wondered why the never was live. It's odd to me that ECW, the C level brand, has been live from the beginning and SD was not. I doubt they'll go live after the move though. It wouldn't make sense for WWE to change the way they tape their shows and do live TV just because one of their main shows moves to a new channel. If they move to another HD channel, I'll be happy. Hell, I may actually watch the show again. I haven't watched any WWE programing in like two years. I was watching just TNA for a while but I've stopped watching that too. I need to see some wrestling, I'm going crazy.

I have no idea where I think it should go. Like someone else said, I watched it much more on Thursday than on Friday. As long as it's not Sci-Fi, since when I'm at college I don't get Sci-Fi, it will be fine. The CW in my area was not that great in terms of picture quality and signal for some reason, so maybe a more is for the best.

They could cancel it, cancel ecw, cut 3/4 of the roster, cut half of the RAW roster, and then I would be happy.
