So when will it stop being on CW? In 2009, right? And this sucks. CW is the only channel we get in HD for WWE programing it ends in september of this year.

I think SmackDown should start airing live. Maybe they will?

I wonder what channel Smackdown will go to. Honestly, other than Smackdown is there any reason at ALL to watch CW? Seriously, its gotta be one of the most useless stations for me atleast. Atleast USA and Spike have other shows I wouldnt mind seeing, CW is something you change to for Smackdown and then never return to the same channel till next week's Smackdown.

While I'm saddened that they are leaving The CW, WWE has to do what it has to do. I just hope they get picked up by a network that has an HD channel so I can continue watching SD in HD.

SmackDown on Thursday nights on the USA Network LIVE would be ideal for me.

I think NBC will pick SmackDown up, and air it on Bravo.

I think NBC will pick SmackDown up, and air it on Bravo. they won't put it on bravo. bravo does not fit with WWE. they are going to have it on NBC. NBC needs shows for there prime time right know.they were already saying that a wrerstling show was going to NBC

And if ratings are good for SD on NBC, we'll be seeing another 'MARVELOUS' SNME featuring four jobbers fighting each other with mallets and such...

I hope it gets moved to Wednesday because I dont want it to take away from viewers watching TNA on Thursday plus that means 4 days in a row of wrestling... very nice!

Ah, I remember back when WWF aired a one-time special called SmackDown! back in April of 1999, and then the show began running full-time every Thursday by that fall.
There were some great shows early on in those first few years. I miss the old OvalTron, that was great for the three or so years the original set existed. I think after the brand extension in 2002, I kind of lost interest in the show but I've always kept up on what's happened in recent years. I started watching SD full-time a couple months back and it's always felt like a routine to watch it on either Thursdays or Fridays on the UPN/CW network.
I think it will be good for the show to move on from such a ****ty network; I don't know if NBC is ready to carry the show every week, but I'm sure either USA or Bravo (at the very least) would be a nice fit.
And, I wouldn't get your hopes up on SmackDown! going live all of a sudden. It will still likely be taped in advance on Tuesday nights with ECW as it has always been.

No wonder nobody watched the CW except for Smackdown. Their shows suck.

why wont the but it on FSN! AGAIN...It won't go to FX or FSN. FX, and FSN is owned by FOX. WWe has a contract with NBC, and wants to extend that relationship; thus the cancellation with CW (CBS-Warner Bros).

They could cancel it, cancel ecw, cut 3/4 of the roster, cut half of the RAW roster, and then I would be happy. wouldnt everyone?
