I'm going to be estatic considering the maharaja is going to be champion, and remove the stink of Orton and the piss poor reign of it

I'm sure he's not winning, but if he did it'd be cool and a nice swerve.
You got to build stars from square one.

If he does win, it will probably be a short reign like Khali. I wouldn't be surprised if he won since wwe is apparently is really trying to appeal to the market in India.

I'm probably gonna mark the out. I can see Chicago weirdly being super behind him, or they'll get bored within two minutes and start chanting CM PUNK and BEACH BALL MANIA for 20 minutes.

He won't win. But it is an intriguing thought. Be a nice way to get the belt back on AJ Styles. Especially if AJ wins US gold.
Jinder does it for India.
AJ does it for America.

The worst that will happen is a wave of indifference. My problem isn't that Jinder is in the title picture. My problem is they skipped a step in getting him there. They never explained why he was even in the 6 man match. Would it have been too difficult for Shane to say that since Smackdown is the land of opportunity, he was gonna give 6 guys an opportunity? If they had done something that simple I would have bought in.

-- He needs to raise his voice and show more passion. His facial expressions are dead-on, his mannerisms speak for themselves... but when he cuts a promo, it's too tame. Then and only then, will I want to see him as champion. Happy for the guy he's given the ball to run with, but now's the time to rise COMPLETELY, to the occasion, this Sunday.

I actually can see him winning on Sunday. Huge market in India. I don't see his reign being long. Either that or they build him up strong in the match and he loses. Either way it's a good opportunity for Jinder.

The build behind Mahal has been great, he could legit become the biggest heel on smackdown if he wins the match, he's got the Singh Bros helping him win matches so top stars dont look so weak, and he actually gets a lot of heat. The only problem is that when he doesnt win he's gonna fade away into obscurity again or just end up back down the bottom end of the card just like R-Truth did after main eventing a PPV for the WWE title with Cena.

I would be able to swallow it if his whole "rise' wasn't insanely random. He has been jobbing since his return. Then suddenly he's #1 contender. It's even more random then when R Truth was feuding with Cena.

In the beginning of all of this I was kind of against it, but now? Hug it, I actually want to see Juicy Jinder go over.

I hope Jinder wins.
He's been really good lately, on the mic and in the ring. Plus Orton is dreadful and has been for a while.
I really think half the people are hating on Jinder because of their pre-disposition of Jinder, as he's been a jobber in the past.
I think the other half are mad that it wasn't someone like AJ or Zayn.
Just because It's different doesn't mean it's bad.

I hope Jinder wins, but I don't think it's going to happen. According to the dirt sheets, Orton is Vince's boy and Orton is going to have that belt until at LEAST SummerSlam, maybe longer. This is Orton's receipt for letting Lesnar maul him.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see Chicago give a moderate applause if Jinder did go over. I largely think it would be indifference though. It's a lose-lose situation and everyone has pretty much accepted it at this point.
I think it's pretty clear that Jinder isn't winning. They've really already setup Rusev vs Orton next. They're not going to do heel Jinder vs heel Rusev for the title. I mean if they're going to give us babyface handsome Rusev, well then hell yeah, but I don't think that's going to happen. If Jinder ends up being elevated and lands at US Title level after all of this is over then everyone has won, largely without incident. Jinder is a marketing experiment that doesn't need to turn into something more for the sake of a novelty reaction, cause ha ha wrestling.

I wouldn't be to angry if Jinder wins on Sunday. It would be nice to see someone who no one would even consider being champion actually win. Instead of having Cena challenge him.
