When do the Derek Jeter gift baskets come out? And do they include herpes medication?

Scott Boras is the best at what he does, he really is.
This helps Cano stay in NYC. I bet they get a deal done before the summer.

Exactly what I was thinking, there was no way Cano was staying in NY if Boras was his agent.

SO weird seeing the Braves as an offensive team with suspect pitching. It's a welcome change I think. Going to have to score a lot of runs to win this year. Exciting game last night though. And a really good crowd for a change. If Beachy hadn't been injured I think that rotation looks great. Medlen was unreal last year but Minor was damn near the best pitcher in baseball in the second half. I can't wait to see what they do this year. For the record though, I'm a Nats fan. It's amazing to see how far they've come in the past few years. Livan Hernandez was our opening day starter two years ago. Followed by Lannan, Marquis, Zimmermann, and Gorzelanny. Wrap your mind around that.

Halladay is really, really, really not right. 40 pitches in the first inning on a rainy night pretty much ensures that he's gonna have a short outing.

The Yankees are going to lose AT LEAST the first 6 games of the season, because there is NO WAY IN HELL they are going to beat Porcello, Scherzer and Verlander in Detroit this weekend.

Ugly game for the Phils. You'd think you'd fair pretty well if your starter K's 9 in 3 1/3 innings but no. Halladay has to give up 5 runs as well. And then the 'pen was shaky to boot and the Phils couldn't scrap enough to get back into it and even make it competitive. No bueno.

Best thing yesterday was seeing Evan Gattis getting his first career hit as a home run while his dad was being interviewed. Dude was out of baseball and working as a janitor not long ago.

Wow, the Braves lineup looks great through 2 games. A lot of power there, along with strikeouts too.
I think the pitching will be okay too. If Medlen and Minor pitch like they did last season, we will be quite good. Hudson and Maholm should be solid, and if Beachy comes back the rotation is very good. Teheran could also be good.

I think the Braves are gonna do fantastic this year, be a great team, playoffs, World Series contender....and still finish 10 games behind the Nats.
The Nats are that friggin good.

At least the Phils go back home after this and meet up with the Royals. Even with the back end of their rotation going out there they should be able to take two of three from a bad team.

tell me Brett Gardner didn't just hit a home freakin' run...
awesome. i really love Gardner, if he's healthy he could be one of the top 3 players on this team this season overall.
