I live on the Eastern Shore of MD. I was at work and felt them. The wife calls me and says that it was enough to make some pictures fall off the wall at home.
Can you imagine the feeling people driving over a long bridge must have gotten when it hit?

I was at work and felt nothing, yet the store next door to us did. I was actually on the phone placing an order to our meat distributor in Newark and he starts screaming "HOLY crap."

Don't you go to UMass? Did they seriously shut that sh*t down? Indeed I do, and indeed they did. Here's the email I received: "Due to tremors felt on the UMass Boston campus, the university is closed for the remainder of the day. All activities and classes are cancelled. Check www.umb.edu for updates." They won't shut the campus down for 6 feet of snow but they'll shut it down for tremors. Makes sense. It does make sense. Theyve delt with snow for ages. Earthquakes, not so much. Out here in Southern California, we could have a huge earthquake, and no big deal. 1/2 inch of snow, school would be cancelled for a week. It so cute the way some people reacted to this. OH NO AN EARTHQUAKE! Lol.

I was in a pool all day so I didn't feel anything, but I heard about everything on the radio/TV. I heard something but no one really thought about it. Pretty weird to not notice a freaking earthquake.
