5.8 quake in Washington DC. Cell service is down in lots of places. Our WDC office is evacuating. I can't get through to my grandma who lives about 2 hours from DC. I'm a little worried.

I'm about ten minutes East of Pittsburgh. My bed was shaking, and I thought my cats were fighting underneath it, but then my door started shaking, as did my bookcase and stuff. Freaky.

I felt it. The building I was in was wobbling left and right for 20-30 seconds. I need to get home soon to find out if anything happened there.

I thought that the laundry was running and the machine was breaking or something... then I thought I was a having a heart attack.... then I got up and went in the other room... and everything was moving around. So weird. I have never felt an earthquake. West Coast people are probably laughing at us right now. lol.

It's all over the news. They're evacuating many buildings in Center City Philly. Obama is supposed to address the nation about this. I think they said it was a 5.9 magnitude in the epicenter of the quake in VA.
I'll tell ya, this is some scary crap. Between all the rain (which was like 2 years work in less than a month), the impending hurricane, and now this... man just crazy.
I hope everyone is ok.

West Coast says Welcome to our world.
Turns out landlines and cell phone services may be down in the east coast for some people temporarily

I honestly did not feel it here at work. I was driving when it apparently happened. I'm actually kind of pissed I didn't feel it, in a weird way I've always wanted to know what an earthquake felt like.
My facebook newsfeed has blown up with it though. My best friend lives in VA probably near where the epicenter is, although he posted everything is ok.
