I felt it here in Baltimore County, Maryland. I was sitting on the couch in my living room playing Banjo-Kazooie on the N64 and at first I thought something went wrong with either the washer or dryer downstairs in the basement. I felt this rumbling through the floor and the couch gently swayed back and forth as if I were sitting in a rocking chair of some sort. I got up once the quake peaked a few seconds later and my entire house was shaking. Honestly? The first thing I was thinking, besides WTF is going on, is that I had retrieve any broken or fallen items in the house. A collector's plate that belongs to my mother fell from a stand and broke in three pieces and a few unused rolls of toilet paper fell out of the bathroom closet onto the floor lol, but no serious damage around here. I went outside immediately afterward and neighbors were standing in front of their houses talking over to one another. I don't recall ever experiencing an earthquake, or at least one that I was sure was an earthquake like this one, but that was a crazy 10-to-15 second period that literally came out of nowhere. Can I give you a high five right now?

Felt it over here in Massachusetts. It knocked my damn DVD shelf over. That was weird, it was the only earthquake I've ever experienced. Can't imagine what a bigger one felt like. That's crazy, I didn't feel anything at all.

Indeed I do, and indeed they did. Here's the email I received: "Due to tremors felt on the UMass Boston campus, the university is closed for the remainder of the day. All activities and classes are cancelled. Check www.umb.edu for updates." They won't shut the campus down for 6 feet of snow but they'll shut it down for tremors. Makes sense.

I didn't feel anything. If you were just listening to the local news and not watching it you would think that Philly has been completely destroyed. No. I was watching CBS3 out of Philly and they never said anything to that degree that would make you believe that it had been destroyed. Maybe other places are over-exaggerating, but no one in Philly ever said anything to that degree.

Some d-bags in my city are claiming to have felt it. Funny, as they're the only ones apparently.
