I've been offered the following mail aways for sale but not sure they are legit. I know there was a lot of fakes going round a few years back and thes could well be some of them. The hogan does appear to have the mailaway bag however so unless it's been resealed i'm not sure. The warrior also has a tear in the bag so this may compromise it's legitamacy.
Any thoughts?

This is the back.
He wants me to submit an offer so I am thinking of going £60.
What is the book value of a legit JC Penney mailaway Hogan?

yes that's exactly the same as the back of mine - i'm not going to tell you how much i paid for mine, let's just put it this way, the guy selling it didn't know what he had and it was very poorly listed on ebay

Haha i did the same with Hulk 2 mailaway, got if for about £6 and sold it for £100.
Was hoping this would be a similar deal but I think the guy is a bit more clued up so not sure what he'll sell for. If it goes past my price range i'll pass his details on so one of you can speak to him if your after this figure as I think he wants to sell.

Yeah looks like the same bag but he mentions there's a hole in it so he may well have slipped something out and put the warrior in.
He mentioned he got both of them at the same time though which might be promising but like hasbromaster points out, there isn't any record of a warrior mailaway.
Wish i'd picked these up for £5.55.

The Warrior appears to be one of the many bagged magazine figures we've seen on ebay throughout the years. Not sure how legit these are.
As to Hogan, must have been some kind of UK factory figure, as I didn't know that there were JC Penney stores in the UK ?

Hello All. Was very confused when i started to read this post. These two figures were on ebay at a starting bid of 99p, and due to finish saturday or Sunday just gone (cant remember which) Due to the fact that i was in Belgium at the weekend, and had no access to Ebay when the items finished, i contacted the seller to ask if a buy it now option was available. He got back to me, gave me a price he would be happy with, i completed payment via paypal (Friday if i remember rightly) - Job done. Then, i see this thread? The exact same figures, pictures etc.. Started two days after i completed payment? When i checked my email, i had a message from the seller saying he has changed his mind, and WANTS TO KEEP THEM - would i sell them back to him? This is clearly not true, he has obviously just been offered a whole lot more money than what i paid by an innocent interested buyer (Familyguy84) and thought 'Blimey, ive made a mistake selling them for that price - I can make a whole lot more'. However - The figures have arrived with me this Morning, due to the fact the seller obviously had alraedy sent them before he got the 'Higher' offer. The Hogan is the real deal - no doubt about it. Looks great. The Warrior is very clean, but the bag (Which has the Hasbro print in black directly on the bag) has several shredded cuts in it, so could have easilly been changed/Put in etc. I only purchased them really for the Hogan anyway, so no loss to me. Cheers.

Well that's very interesting, I was watching the auction hoping for a bargain but then saw they'd been taken off at the weekend.
He told me he had decided not to sell them but would sell them to me if the price was right. I came on here to check there authenticity but didn't mention they were previously on ebay because I knew others would started looking for them if I did. I offered him £60 but he rejected saying he was going to keep hold of them.
I have passed his details on to CDP who was going to offer him more than I offered so the guy must be really kicking himself. I guess that's what happens when you finish auctions early!!!
Out of interest, care to tell us how much you paid? I really hope you got a good bargain as the guy really hasn't done himself any favours.
