Yeah, I thought it was quite a deal. Wasn't really looking for this figure, but couldn't really turn it down for £25. He can join my other UK Mailaways Hogan and Warrior 2 on the shelf.

Hehe. I saw these too.
I think people need to be a bit more careful jumping to conclusion that it is the JCP Hogan just because it is in a bag. This Hogan blatently had UK markings on the sticker, and I am sure there has never been a JCP over here, as noted earlier.
I know it can seem great when you think you have found a bargain on eBay, but always make sure to check the details out first because there are a lot of people looking to take advantage of honest collectors.
Especially at this time of year when loved ones might be looking for that 'extra special' gift. That is no doubt why the Buy It Now price of MOC Hasbros has recently gone through the roof on eBay,....people trying to take advantage of a good intentioned relative with poor knowledge of what they are buying.

ha ha this is such a strange thread! i hope the guy is reading this now and is kicking himself for being too greedy it's not a JCP Hogan, although it's got the same P/N number - there's some debate as to what this Hogan was used for in the UK; Silver Vision video offer, a breakfast cereal promotion, there are a re. One thing is for sure though it IS a legit mailaway. The Warrior is another story altogether though, i'm not convinced on it.

If the Warrior does not belong in this bag, does anyone know which mailaways have come in this bag before? Its the normal clear plastic bag, and has the Hasbro UK Newport Gwent etc etc directly on the bag. (Pictured at the beggining of this thread) I have these two mailaways allready, But these two have a big clear plastic sticker stuck onto the clear bag, instead of the print being directly on the bag.. The US mailaways are obviously different bags again, so does anybody know what the 'Warrior' bag has been used for before? Cheers..

Are the warrior and Hogan genuine??
I know when I had my Hogan 2 mail away it was printed on to the bag like the warrior 1 and not a sticker like those two.

Also regarding the JC Penney issue. I certainly remember my friend getting a free Hulk Hogan with his Hasbro ring back in the day.
Not sure he got a macho man though. Did they come as a pair or individually??
I always thought this was weird as I didn't know anyone else who'd got a figure with the ring.

As far as I'm aware mate thier genuine.
I'm sure the two figures came together with the JC Penny ring. Hasbromaster will confirm as he recently picked a set up.

If you look at the official Hasbro post as well the Hogan 2 has the wording printed on the bag. They may well be a genuine variant or from a different mailaway source.
However, I do remember the guy who was selling them a few years ago was selling them with stickers like this on.
When and where did you get them from?

as far as i know the seller printed the stickers and put them on ther bags, then heat sealed a figure inside. i bought one and the figure had minor playwear which would have been impossible if they were legit. i got a full refund. (check yours out for wear.)

Yeah figures are clean and fresh mate, no marks what so ever. If they are a home made job, they have done an amazing job on both. No air bubbles or creases between bag and sticker, which I think would be impossible to do. Clean sealing line as well. I'm happy with the price I paid, so they were worth it any way real of Copys

The Hogan is basically the bagged JC Penney figure, just with the import sticker. It's worth slightly less than an original one but definitely in the $500 range. Great find! Warrior could be a homemade job or a UK WWF magazine figure, as some collectors have said that when they ordered figures, they came bagged, not carded.

can there be two Masters? we have hasbromaniac and hasbromaster, both masters in their own regard. maniac is probably a bit more knowledgeable than master, but master is taking hasbro by the horns in the 21st century. Every kung-fu master has to pass the torch right?
