Nicely put! I'll be doing some more articles on Hasbros very soon in regards to carded variants;packaging wise that is. Let me tell ya, there's a lot of them.

This is the back. He wants me to submit an offer so I am thinking of going £60. What is the book value of a legit JC Penney mailaway Hogan? am i right in seeing this hogan has 1989 on the bag? if i am its fake, ljn still carried the license.

I thought it changed over in 1989? That would explain the Hogan v Macho advertising on the JC Penney ring

My bagged Hogan 1 sticker is exactly the same - 1989.

I noticed the 1989 thing too It seemed wierd to me, as my version of that figure actually says 1990 on the back of the trunks....are the bagged versions the same?
I just presumed that they were old bags used for the figures.... or fakes.

I dont want to upset anyone who may have paid alot of money for these, but i never heard of a wwf mailaway with a sticker on the bag until last year when they were rife on e bay uk, it really isnt hard to fake with a heat sealer and a printer.
As i said, ljn had the wwf license in 89 and hogan was produced in 1990, its a huge risk for £60.

Then again the sticker does not mention WWF, Titan sports etc.
It may have been a generic sticker for Hasbro

I think it is just a generic Hasbro sticker.....the worrying thing for me is this:
Hasbro have always had a policy where if there is a part missing fro your toy/game/puzzle you can contact them, and they will mail you out the missing part. It is still actually on there now if you check out their website. Your missing parts/pieces will then be posted out to you in the Hasbro marked bag you see before you now.
Rest assured these bags aren't specific to just WWF figures

Hmmm maybe that's where the guy on ebay a few years ago got all his bags.
Sending off for missing scrabble tiles and then putting figures inside. Very sneaky!
I would assume the generic bags wouldn't have the P/N number the same as the figures though.
Does the warrior bag have any mention of WWF/Titan Sports on it or is it just generic to Hasbro?

The guy who sold this to Adam, who I had contacted, came back to me last night and tried selling me the Red Hulk Hogan for £150.
Trying to recoup his losses. I had to laugh!

Blimey, think your right. I had another email from him the other day asking to buy it back from me. Think he regrets selling it for the price he did Maybe I should offer him £25 for the red Hulk too?

I did offer him £30 and he came back with the line.
"More like £150!"
He obviously is a bit more clued up on this one.
