-Interesting choice with Sanders running things and not stripping Steiner of the title -Good intergender tag match, though I would've liked the other team to win -Kash seems to win every week except last week -X Division match sounded awesome, I can imagine that being an exciting spotfest -Steiner squash is ok -Double cheating in the main event with the chain and interference. Glad Jarrett won while keeping Douglas looking strong
Good PPV again, can't wait for the eventual match between Jarrett & Steiner

- Sanders being in charge gets a thumbs up from me. Glad Steiner wasn’t stripped of the strap. - Alright opening six man tag match, good match to get the heels over. - Kash/Psicosis is a good match up. Really enjoy this Kash push. - Nice way for Styles to beat KI. - Good squash for Scott Steiner, especially with someone smaller than him. - Jarrett/Douglas is a good main event. Jarrett winning had to happen, but I wish Douglas would have won, just because I like him. - Good pay per view, better than the previous one.

December 11th, 2002 PreviewThe twenty-seventh pay-per-view broadcasts live straight out of Nashville, and what a show it's set to be! Acting commissioner Mike Sanders exclusively revealed to NWATNA.com that he has booked Jeff Jarrett to take on Rick Steiner in the main event this Wednesday night. Jarrett brought Rick into NWA:TNA, and now Mike Sanders has ordered the two go at it! Gail Kim, Kaz Hayashi and Yang made a statement last week, brutally attacking Alexis Laree, Christian York and Joey Matthews during their match. Gail then told April Hunter that it's only over when she gets the win. This week, Kaz Hayashi is in action as he prepares to take on Ultimo Dragon. You can be sure that Gail and Yang will be in Hayashi's corner, but the main question is will Laree, York and Matthews appear? April Hunter has been neck-and-neck when Desire for the past few weeks after Desire assaulted Hunter during an interview a couple of weeks back. The pair have traded insults for weeks, and now they will square off in what will be Hunter's first ever wrestling match. How will she cope, especially when OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki will be in Desire's corner. Plus appearances from NWA World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner, AJ Styles, NWA:TNA X-Division Champion Low-Ki, Eddie Guerrero, and many more! NWA:TNA is live every Wednesday night and is available to order through iNDEMAND and DirecTV. Call your local cable or satellite provider for availability, or check your programming guide.

Woo, Mike Sanders is the interim Commissioner of NWA:TNA. I like him, great charisma. Interesting promo to kick off the show. Jeff Jarrett and Shane Douglas seems like a good match. Eurgh, Desire, OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki beating a superior trio of wrestlers like Alexis Laree, Christian York and Joey Matthews I hate. Especially when it was cleanly, while York, Matthews and Laree were feuding with Yang, Hayashi and Gail Kim. Awesome match between Kid Kash and Psychosis, Kash didn't use the Dead Level here, though I don't think. Great match with AJ Styles and Low-Ki teaming with two seperate pairs of undercard workers like the Briscoe Brothers and Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo. Scott Steiner beating Air Paris...didn't that happen before? Push Paris. Decent main event.

The opening video rolls and then pyro erupts at the top of the ramp. Mike Tenay and Mick Foley welcome us to the show as the camera focuses on the NWA:TNA cage dancers at the ramp. TIGER MASK IV BEAT TEDDY HART, JASON CROSS, DR. WAGNER, JR. AND JODY FLEISCH VIA PINFALL TO EARN A NWA:TNA X-DIVISION TITLE SHOT - We kicked things off with what was billed as the World X-Showcase as each man in the match represented a different country. The crowd where dead at first, but each wrestler managed to get the crowd into it. After a spot-filled contest, each man hit their finishing moves in the closing moments of the match, however Japan's Tiger Mask IV was the last one to hit his finisher which got him the three count and an X-Division title shot later tonight! April Hunter was shown backstage with Mike Sanders, who was adjusting his tie. Sanders hyped the main event between Jeff Jarrett and Rick Steiner. Sanders went to walk off, but he turned around and wished Hunter luck for her match against Desire. Sanders grinned before heading off. APRIL HUNTER BEAT DESIRE VIA PINFALL - Desire dominated in the early going, but Hunter put of a fight and done whatever she could. When OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki began to get involved, the NWA World Tag Team Champions Rey Misterio, Jr. and Konnan hit the ringside area and took the duo out. Desire was momentarily distracted which allowed Hunter to roll her up from behind for the victory! Hunter celebrated with Rey and Konnan on the ramp as Desire screamed in the ring. Rick Steiner was shown backstage stretching when Jeff Jarrett approached him. Jarrett told Rick that he doesn't want any hard feelings between the two and that may the better man win tonight. The duo shake hands as we cut back to the ringside area. KAZ HAYASHI BEAT ULTIMO DRAGON VIA PINFALL - Tremendous contest put on by both Dragon and Hayashi. Gail Kim and Yang where sent to the back after tripping Dragon when he was Irish Whipped into the ropes. When the referee took a bump, Gail Kim came sprinting to the ring and climbed on top of the turnbuckle before leaping off and hitting Dragon with a Diving Hurricanrana. Gail quickly rolled out of the ring and ran to the back before Hayashi hit Dragon with the Hayashi Cutter for the three count. Mick Foley and Mike Tenay inform us that they have just been informed that next week we will see the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner team up with AJ Styles to take on Jeff Jarrett and the NWA:TNA X-Division Champion Low-Ki! The music of AJ Styles hit and he comes cockily down the ramp. AJ joins Mick Foley and Mike Tenay at the commentators booth and immediantly begins trash talking Low-Ki. LOW-KI BEAT TIGER MASK IV VIA SUBMISSION TO RETAIN THE NWA:TNA X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP - This was the definate match of the night as these two put on a clinic out there. They were given alot more time than one would expect, and they worked their arses off. AJ constantly said that it's his time to shine and he doesn't care who leaves as champion tonight as they won't have the title for very long. Low-Ki got out of harms way when he avoided Tiger Mask's Corkscrew Moonsault before making him submit to a Dragon Clutch. Tylene Buck was shown backstage with Shane Douglas. Buck began screaming as Douglas backed her against a wall while grabbing her hair. Eddie Guerrero came up and began hammering away at Douglas who scattered down the hallway telling Eddie that "he made the worst mistake of his life by messing with The Franchise". Jeff Jarrett was shown backstage leaving his locker room and heading down the hallway. He is in action, NEXT! JEFF JARRETT BEAT RICK STEINER VIA PINFALL - Not the greatest of matches, but it served its purpose and that is putting Jarrett over. I don't think anyone expected Rick to get the win here as Jeff is involved in the main feud here in NWA:TNA right now. Rick Steiner missed a Steiner Bulldog and then Jarrett hit him with The Stroke for the win. As Jeff celebrated in the ring, Scott Steiner appeared at the top of the ramp, sarcastically clapping as the show comes to a close.

Random there to have Tiger Mask win. Ok women's match that helped out another feud. Good way to get JJ over as the face in the feud. Really surprised Ultimo lost that match. Ki winning made sense, and an AJ/Ki matfch should be awesome when it happens due to the hype. Like the stuff there with Douglas. Jarrett winning made sense. Really looking forward to JJ/Steiner & AJ/Ki when they happen.

- Figuring the first match was just a spot fest. Tiger Mask winning is alright, I suppose. I do hope Teddy Hart isn’t involved in TNA for long. - Thumbs up with Hayashi beating Ultimo Dragon. I really like that move. - Solid match with KI and Mask. Styles/KI should be a good match when it finally happens. - Guerrero/Douglas could be cool. I laughed with me having Douglas/Buck a couple and then you have Douglas abuse her, of sorts. - Jarrett winning was obvious. Steiner mocking Jarrett was good touch.

I really liked the X-Division battle royal, good to see Tiger Mask getting the win. I hope you have him stick around longer than this one show. I didn't really enjoy the women's match, it just seemed like it was an unneeded match just for the sake of building up the tag team feud. I still cant get into some of the guys on the roster, and Kaz and Ultimo are two of them. I dont see the need for having the X-Division championship on the same night as the battle royal. Good to see Jeff getting the win, but I'm really hoping that you end the Jarrett/ Steiner fued ends soon, since its starting to drag on a little.

-Loved the spot filled X Division opener -Iffy on Hunter winning as I don't like her at all -Hayashi wnining is ok, and I wouldn't mind seeing Hayashi & Yang against Liger & Dragon -Next week's tag team main event sounds awesome -Low Ki match sounded good as I expected it to be -Kinda weird stuff from the Franchise, but him vs. Eddie could be great -Liked the ending with the sarcastic clapping
Another good show, next week's main event sounds really good

- love the japanaese influence in the x-divioson - couldn't care less about hunter winning. if i'm not mistaken it was mianly there to further a tag title feud anyways.# - hayashi vs ultimo dragon would be good crap. - next weeks main event sounds solid. - low ki vs tiger masm iv = many many buys. - not sure what to make of the shane douglas/eddie stuff. - have skimmed through the last few shows, i can tell you i'm digging the steiner/jarrett stuff. - the sarcastic clapping was a nice way to end a solid show.
the layout is very similar to the layout i used for my tna year 2 diary, and having read this, it's kinda giving me the urge to go back to it.
good stuff all around here.

The opening video rolls and then pyro erupts at the top of the ramp. Mike Tenay and Mick Foley welcome us to the show as the camera focuses on the NWA:TNA cage dancers at the ramp. Kaz Hayashi and Yang (w/ Gail Kim) defeated. Ultimo Dragon and Jushin "Thunder" Liger. Kaz Hayashi and Yang where out there tonight to make a statement and they done that in this thrilling contest. Dragon and Liger were the far more experienced team and they really did out wrestle Hayashi and Yang, but that's not to say that Kaz and Yang were crap. Liger looked to have the match won for his team after hitting a Liger Bomb to Yang, but Gail Kim got onto the apron and distracted the referee. Liger pulled Kim into the ring by the hair and set her up for the Liger Bomb, but Kaz Hayashi came off the top with a Missile Dropkick to Liger's temple and Yang made the cover and put his feet on the ropes to secure the victory. April Hunter interviewed AJ Styles backstage about his main event contest where he will team up with the current reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner to take on Jeff Jarrett and the NWA:TNA X-Division Champion Low-Ki. AJ seemed awfully confident heading into the match. Kid Kash (w/ Trinity) defeated. Teddy Hart. Teddy Hart returned to NWA:TNA this week to take on Kid Kash who has been on a role since his NWA:TNA a couple of months back. Teddy Hart got little to no reaction from the crowd, and those who did react most likely reacted due to his surname. Kash took the victory after Hart failed to hit the Triple Bypass and Kash took advantage of this and hit the Dead Level. A hype video plays hyping the up-coming six person mixed tag team match between April Hunter, Rey Misterio, Jr. and Konnan taking on Desire, OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki. Desire, OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki defeated. April Hunter, Konnan and Rey Misterio, Jr. - This match was fantastic whenever the guys were in the ring, but when the girls got in it just went downhill. Granted the two of them are pretty hot, they can't wrestle whatsoever. Thankfully they weren't given much in-ring time and the majority of the match was contested between Ekmo, Siaki, Rey and Konnan. When Hunter and Desire did get in the ring, Ekmo attacked Hunter and hit her with a wicked Samoan Drop before Desire pinned her for the victory. When the ringside area was cleared, Shane Douglas made his way down to the ring. Douglas cut a fantastic promo on Tylene Buck and Eddie Guerrero claiming that they have been taking all the air-time about some pathetic romance that nobody gives two sh*ts about when people like him are stuck in the back doing nothing. The music of Eddie Guerrero hits and he comes running down the ramp with Tylene Buck trying to run in heels closely miles behind. Eddie got into the ring and him and Douglas began to brawl in the ring when the bell rung. Eddie Guerrero (w/ Tylene Buck) defeated. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. This match wasn't advertised as it was an impromptu match. These two got given a decent amount of time and they brawled all around ringside. At one point Douglas used Buck as a shield and moved around the ring with her but she kicked him on the balls thus he released her and Eddie tackled him down. Eventually, Douglas was hit with the Frog Splash from Eddie which was enough to give Eddie the three. NWA World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner was shown bench pressing backstage when AJ Styles approached him. Steiner told AJ that he doesn't like teaming with chumps like him and the only reason he's going along with teaming with him is so he can get his hands on Jeff Jarrett. Steiner then warned AJ that if he gets in his way out there tonight he will snap him in half. Scott Steiner and AJ Styles defeated. Jeff Jarrett and Low-Ki. We ended the show with a truly fantastic contest. The match lasted around fifteen minutes and featured nothing but tremendous action from start to finish. Jeff and Steiner brawled anytime they got near each other, and the same can be said for AJ and Low-Ki. In the end, Low-Ki climbed up to the top rope and teased jumping to the outside onto AJ Styles. Just as he was about to jump, Scott Steiner climbed to the top behind Low-Ki and hit the Super Fallaway Slam for the pinfall. Jeff helped Low-Ki up as Steiner raised his NWA World Heavyweight Championship up on the ramp, tapping it to let Jarrett know that it is his. Mick Foley and Mike Tenay then told us that due to it being Christmas Day next Wednesday NWA:TNA will not be on pay-per-view. One would presume that the buyrates would be low due to it being Christmas and that's why it won't be on. Foley then told us that when NWA:TNA returns, which is New Years Day, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett will finally clash and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line!

Like the Asian tag team managed by Gail. Dragon/Liger have fallen far though. Solid main event for the show coming up. Like Hart being there, and the Kash push is okay. Heel move there by Ekmo, but I like it. Hope the Eddie/Douglas stuff continues. Good main event, and Steiner winning made sense instead of making the world champ looking weak. Good show, but five matches isn't enough. Steiner/JJ should be awesome, though.

Awesome Japanese showcase match to kick off NWA:TNA this Wednesday night. I can't see Jushin Thunder Liger and Ultimo Dragon jobbing to Kaz Hayashi and Yang, though if I'm perfectly honest. Sweet match between Kid Kash and Teddy Hart, I dislike Teddy, however. Eurgh, like the opening contest, can't see OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki beating Konnan and Rey Misterio Jr, even if Ekmo pinned April Hunter. Difference of star power. Decent match between Eddie Guerrero and Shane Douglas, I really hope Eddie leaves TNA soon, though. I think he'd of been picked up by WWE by now if I'm honest. Decent tag team main event, got the X-Division feud in there too, which I enjoy.

New layout, I rather the centre/big letter version, glad to see Yang and Haz carry on winning maybe a future title reign in their future, X Div and NWA tag match sounds good AJ needs to win the belt soon though, no reaction for Hart? Keep up Kash winning ways but don't make him X Champ, Hunter hot? not really, starting to dislike Konnan and Rey as champs I would like them to lose it soon, Douglas says the truth! sad Eddie won but it made sense, lol at Stiener talking to AJ like that, wow nice build up to new years show but no Xmas theme impact? I feel you missed out on something there. Keep this up, good luck

- hayashi/yang vs liger/dragon would be bad ass. good way to open the show - kid kash going over makes sense. - good follow up from last week with the six person tag. - eddie vs douglas was good, however i'd have put douglas over. to me now, the feud is done. eddie proved his reveng. all motivation for a future guerrerp/douglas match is gone. - and for the main event, i'd have given the wins to the faces, to let the audience know, that the champ can betean. makes them want to see the title change on the next ppv all the time.
overall, a decent show. i'd have done a few things different, butthat's just me. some solid angle advancment, good matches. can't really ask for much more than that.

January 1 2003 - NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE Mick Foley and Mike Tenay welcome us to the first wrestling event of 2003. The duo talk about Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett finally clashing tonight with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Yang and Kaz Hayashi (w/ Gail Kim) defeated. Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe. The Briscoes have been used as jobbers since their arrival in NWA:TNA but tonight they got their own entrance music and titantron and put on a fantastic contest with Yang and Hayashi. Gail Kim hit Jay with a Hurricanrana from the top rope while Kaz distracted the referee. Gail left the ring and Yang hit a Moonsault from the top for the three. April Hunter interviewed "The Franchise" Shane Douglas backstage. Douglas spoke about Eddie Guerrero beating him last week. Douglas congratulated Eddie on beating him before he told Eddie to watch his back. Low-Ki defeated. Kid Romeo (w/ Elix Skipper). Ki and Romeo put on a nice contest here, with Romeo really wowing the audience as he's never really had the chance to show us his skills here in NWA:TNA. Romeo was able to take Ki down with a Superkick but instead of making the pin he flexed to the crowd. When Romeo turned around Ki hit a stiff kick to the temple before climbing to the top and hitting the Ghetto Stomp for the victory. April Hunter was backstage with "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles who revealed that he just returned from the office of Mike Sanders and next week he will finally get his shot at what is rightfully his - the NWA:TNA X-Division Championship. Styles told Low-Ki to enjoy his last seven days with the belt as come next Wednesday the title will be in his possession. Ken Shamrock vs. Eddie Guerrero (w/ Tylene Buck) went to a No Contest. Ken Shamrock was playing the heel tonight rather than the face character he normally plays. As Eddie made his way down the ramp with Tylene Buck he was blindsided by Shane Douglas who came running from the back a moment after Eddie had entered the arena. Douglas punched away at Eddie before Ken Shamrock joined in by putting the boots to Guerrero. Douglas and Shamrock double teamed Eddie, even tossing him into the stage. Eventually Eddie was busted open before Tylene Buck threw herself onto Eddie, begging Shamrock and Douglas not to hit him anymore. Douglas grabbed Buck by the hair and began screaming at her before he released her and she immediantly lay ontop of Guerrero. Douglas and Shamrock looked at each other before grinning as Mike Tenay complained about their actions. The camera cuts backstage where we see Shane Douglas and Ken Shamrock cockily walking down the halls when April Hunter ran up to them asking them about their actions. Douglas told Hunter that The Franchise hates being shown up especially by a rookie like Eddie Guerrero. Douglas said that he didn't intend on beating down Eddie with Shamrock, but he liked his style out there so he went along with it. Douglas then said that if Eddie has the balls him and Shamrock are issuing a challenge to Eddie and a partner of his choosing for two weeks time since they reliase he'll need the week off next week to recover. The two laugh before heading off. NWA World Tag Team Champions, Rey Misterio, Jr. and Konnan defeated. Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis to retain the titles. Four of Mexico's biggest stars took to the ring for a spot-filled tag team contest. Both teams had several false finishes between them but Rey, Jr. and Konnan showed just why they are the NWA World Tag Team Champions when Konnan hit Juvi with the Cradle DDT and Rey, Jr. hit Psicosis with a Frankensteiner simultaneously and pinned them simultaneously for the three count. NWA World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner was shown benchpressing backstage before he stared intently at his title belt. We cut back to ringside where we see Mick Foley and Mike Tenay and the duo talk about how Scott Steiner is focused on leaving tonight still the champion. Kid Kash and Trinity defeated. Jason Cross and Traci Brooks.[/color] Kid Kash and Trinity have been getting over with the fans alot as of late and tonight was no exception. Cross and Brooks worked as the heels and they done a pretty good job at it. Cross almost got the win for his team when he hit the spectacular Shooting Star Legdrop which he dubs the Crossfire but Trinity broke up the count. In the end Kid Kash was able to hit Cross with the Money Maker. I don't think management expected the fans to like this match as much as they did. Jeff Jarrett was shown heading down the halls with Rick Steiner before we see Scott Steiner heading down the corrdior with his title belt around his waist. We cut to a Tale of the Tape for both men. NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Steiner defeated. Jeff Jarrett (w/ Rick Steiner) to retain the title. There has been so much build behind this match and these two certainly did not disappoint. They worked so well together and they where given around seventeen minutes for the entire match. Rick Steiner was in the corner of Jeff to give his support which distracted Scott a few times as he was making sure Rick wasn't going to do anything. Steiner accidentally clotheslined the referee at one point. Rick Steiner got in the ring and speared his brother, Scott. Scott got to his feet and fell victim to The Stroke as the crowd erupted. Jeff covered Scott but Rick Steiner dropped Jeff with an elbow drop before hitting the Steiner Driver and Scott got up and hugged his brother. Rick left the ring while the referee got to his feet and Scott applied the Steiner Recleiner. The referee ended the match due to Jarrett passing out. Both Steiners celebrated on the ramp to close the show.

ERIC BISCHOFF; HARD ROCK CAFE, TV DEAL; & MORE! (www.pwinsider.com)
-- This past weeks NWA:TNA show was the first show that Eric Bischoff helped with the booking on. Bischoff is apparently pleased with the outcome as he felt it further developed feuds, helped put over new talent and had fantastic wrestling.
-- Earlier this week we broke the news that NWA:TNA had reached an agreement with ESPN to broadcast a weekly show. However, a spokesperson for ESPN said that NWA:TNA and ESPN have not reached an agreement to broadcast their shows. We did reveal that NWA:TNA will be taping their weekly pay-per-views from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and that was proved correct today when Jeff Jarrett confirmed it claiming that TNA will be airing their pay-per-views live from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino every Wednesday night. NWA:TNA will begin airing their shows beginning January 15th.
-- Originally it was planned for OG Ekmo and Sonny Siaki to win the tag titles from Rey Misterio, Jr. and Konnan. However, Eric Bischoff is said to not be keen on Ekmo and feels he is still too green. Whether or not they do get the titles remains to be seen.
-- OG Ekmo isn't the only person that Eric Bischoff isn't fond of. One half of the tag champs, Konnan, is said to be in hot water with management following a dispute with a booker after his team had to lose a couple of weeks back.
-- Eric Bischoff stated in an interview with an online website that he plans on bringing in globally well-known wrestlers while focusing heavily on the young, up and coming wrestlers. Eric said that he is high on AJ Styles. It's been rumoured that Bischoff has sent feelers to Sting.
-- Teddy Hart was originally offered a contract to sign with NWA:TNA but after Hart's backstage attitude to the majority of the locker room, NWA:TNA decided against signing Hart. Tiger Mask IV, Dr. Wagner, Jr. and Jody Fleisch where only signed to appear on one show however it's believed that if they are needed they will be contacted by the company.
-- Earlier this week there was an image on the NWA:TNA official website with the words "WORLD X CUP 2003". It's unknown what this means at the moment.
-- In some exciting news, it has been revealed that Evan Karagias and Shannon Moore have signed contracts with NWA:TNA. Another independent worker has apparently been signed but it's unknown who at this point.
