It looks as if you posed him standing upright, he'd have 20 lbs. of junk sagging down to mid-thigh  Both are excellent, but my vote goes to: Gatecitysinner I did no modding on the crotch. It's a strait up Umaga DA body. Like the Umaga figure, standing it strait up makes it look akward(no pun intended). |

I'm not going to vote on this one, because obviously people would make a big deal about it, but I would like to address something. Whenever scotthall posts figures, he never shows the complete figure. I'm not saying he has anything to hide, but I know when I complete a figure, I like taking pictures from many different angles so people can see the figure in it's entirity and my hard work can be displayed. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The final two pics are very close to the same, and the one pic that shows the entire body hides the tight logos.

these two are great great customs. its a nice match, but i dont think its as close as everyone is saying it is. gate- this is one awesome piece. the sculpting is just awesome. the hair looks great, and the shirt is very detailed. all the painting is smooth. its a really ace figure. scott- absolutely stunning figure. the head looks great and its modded very well.it looks extremely realistic. the painting seems flawless. straight lines on the tights and a smooth even skintone. the chest hair is also neatly done.the sculpting done for the hair and ankle wraps were just great. winner=scottxxnwohall he made a great figure with perfect painting. both are very well done figures, but the painted skintone and seemingly perfect paintjob outshines gates sculpting and painting. even though i like gate as a customizer, and hes a nice guy, i dont really think he should be getting all the votes hes been recieving. im feeling its more of a popularity contest instead of customs... *EDIT* i really cant believe you voted for gate just because scottxxnwoxxhall used photoshop for a background. That's not the only reason but that was the draw factor for me, by the look of the pic the arms are insanely to thin for haku and his crotch area is way to large... As Simple as That, so yea if he would have used straight up photos then maybe that wouldn't have altered my view of the figure... The Haku also looks great, Would have love to seen side pics to see how accurate you captured the tropical trees? The head sculpting is just about spot on and I love the way you did his body hair (probably the best body hair painting i've seen). FINAL VOTE GOES TO: Gatecitysinner.. Reason: The main reason is the fact that the haku figure was photoshopped for presentation and the arms look way to small but I think that is just from the photoshop outline, so who is to say that some areas of the figure itself are not photoshopped? If the figure would have been posted with straight up pics like Gatecitysinners then I would have possibly voted for haku........... i really cant believe you voted for gate just because scottxxnwoxxhall used photoshop for a background. Ultimately it is upto the people and their reasons, Some ridiculous some not that's how it is when it's left to the public. It should be voted based on overall presentation ( Not just the head modding, not just the painting, not just the use of body parts, not just on the pics provided,etc....) I have no history with either one of these great customizers so my vote has nothing to do with who's who, my vote is purely based on my own view of the presentation........... Where's your vote import?

Gate - I really like the sculpting on the shirt and the beret, however everything about the figure is just too plain. The beard looks like it was put on merely to cover the fact that there really was no other head choice to use. The paint is smooth and clean and well done. The chain is a nice touch. However the overall figure looks like an early 3 1/2 inch G.I. Joe in RA form, if you know what that looks like, its too plain and lacking many qualities.
Scotthall - The Head lone is phenominal. The head looks like it was done by Baity it's that good. I stand by that. The modding on the upper body looks very smooth and clean. The paint job is just amazing. I don't see a single flaw. The foot tape is a great addition, though many are whining about it "not being in the original" but the point of bringing the LJN to an RA form is to add more realism to it, and the feet tape adds just that.
My vote goes to ScottHall

So that was my fault. This isn't a judged match, plain and simple. It's why we have judges for the PPV, but this was an impromptu match, they were signing up for popular vote, as f'ed up as that can be sometimes. And I don't see the competitors bitching, so maybe everyone else should stop.

Gatecitysinner- The custom is more complexe then scotthalls, the modding on corp is great, the hair, torso and pockets. scotthalls custom is a lot simpler although it is quite good. My vote goes to GCS.

Scolding over, now my votes.
I'm gonna be real nitpicky because you guys deserve it.
Gate-
I like the look of this a lot. It looks super clean and smooth right off the bat. The sculpting and texture on the tank top is really great, and the beret looks great. I imagine that's a tough shape to get. The pattern of the pants is incredibly accurate to the original, nice job. My gripes: the hair in the front doesn't necessarily look like it's coming out from under the hat as much as it looks pressed up against the hat. The face could be a little softer/younger looking. A bit of scrunch on the bottom of the pants would've looked great and you're completely capable of that, and the boots look a bit tall. Plus there's a bit of a gap in the torso. Props for the choice of character, by the way.
Scott-
Obviously the head on this is really great. You took a different approach, and rather than replicating the figure, did a more realistic, stylized version of the same attire. Separate and equally respectable approaches. I like the texture on the hair a ton. The skintone is good and the light chest hair is very well done. The painting looks flawless. Here's the deal man. The pictures aren't cutting it. We need to see the sides, the back.. full shots. I mean, I get the presentation thing, but just throw it against a white piece of paper and give us more to look at. Other than that, I'd say the head looks a bit different of a skintone than the body, and it's kind of impossible on DA, but in this style, I think sculpted knee pads under the tights would've been a nice addition.
Verdict-
There are two very different styles going on here. Some people on this board are very quick to say that if something has a fancy Rome/FamousJ-style skintone and realistic detail, it is automatically better than something playable. But clearly Gate wasn't going for that same style. I give equal merit to a well-done, playable, toy-looking custom. Both of these customs excel in their styles, but I am going to vote for Scott Hall because there were fewer little things to improve upon, in my opinion, than on Gate's. At War Games, please take more pictures at different angles.

You know, I don't mind losing, especially when it's to something that good, but do you guys actually have to berate and bash the people voting for me? It's a little insulting to me because it comes off like "you're an idiot, how can you vote for GCS".
And I'm guessing that now it's been cleared up the HBK's vote was actually for Hall, correct?
Let's just try and keep this civil, just vote for what you like best and try not to yell at others.
