Today I watched Grindhouse and Friday the 13th part 6.
Next weekend I'm going to see the Evil Dead musical, afterwards I'll be going to a few Evil Dead themed haunted houses.
The weekend after that I'll be going to a horror convention in Tulsa, Ok to meet Joe Bob Briggs.
Just need to find something cool to do Halloween weekend and this could be the best October in years.

Sounds like one hell of an October man! I just plan on watching more horror themed movies and hopefully decorating the place with some cool Halloween stuff. I saw a review in the paper about an AWESOME haunted house down town. Might try and talk some friends into going.

I love going to haunted houses, it's an expensive habit though and can sometimes be extremely disappointing, I went to one a few years ago that actually had one of those cruddy animatronic Leatherface statues from Spirit Halloween stores as opposed to having an actual guy with a chainsaw.
I'm planning on sneaking my flipcam in the musical and the haunts so if I do it successfully I'll post links to the videos.

Sounds good. Looking forward to the videos!
I havent been to any haunted themed places in years. My friend works at the local amusement park as a nighttime security guard so I was able to go in the other night and hang with him. His shift is midnight to 8am and hes the only one there. We watched the first Saw. He usually does nightly "rounds" every 2 hours so I went with him. Was pretty weird driving in a car at like 40mph through a huge amusement park with all the lights out. He was able to get me into all there haunted houses which was pretty awesome since there was barely any lights so I had to rely on my flashlight!

That sounds great. My friend was a security guard for this old abandoned hotel a few years back. The place was huge, he snuck us all in one Saturday night. It was a lot of fun but god it was over 100 degrees in the place.

C14?
Anyway, I'm usually too busy working to hit any fun stuff like that, I did go to Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt for the second year in a row, fun times, some cool "mazes" (you can't get lost, really just setpieces you walk through while people jump out) but it's good times, and they change it up every year, so it was fun to see what was different this year.

Yeah it's me, I got deleted a while back, not sure what for but I think it was because of an argument with oskanowski. I'll be back on for October unless they decide to delete me again haha.

Watch the Halloween remake. Not nearly as good as the original, but I still enjoy it, I thought exploring Michael's past was cool, the problem was the annoying, unlikeable bitch girls, I was rooting for Michael, whereas he originals greatest strength is the development of Laurie, making you actually care for her.
I thought Malcolm McDowell played a good Loomis though, and I looked at the film, and said if the original Halloween didnt exist, would I like this movie, and I would, so I enjoy it now. Zombies sequel though is utter bullshit

Didnt care for the sequel but I thought the first was great in most ways. I just want Zombie to make T-Rex already!

Yea the first Halloween remake isn't bad at all. Rob Zombie, even though very limited as a director, actually made a decent film with the already provided source material.

I think he just needs to stick in his "style" of filming. Hes shown us that he can do wonders with a movie like The Devils Rejects but when he branches off TOOO far like H2 he just adds his redneck thing to it a little to much... I can he seem doing more awesome movies if he just sticks within his limits.

I enjoyed the Halloween remake. Halloween II, not so much, but it was good for the violence.

Yea he just needs to stick with ripping off Texas Chainsaw Massacre/ Serial Killer mythos and he'll be fine.

I think he should step out of the directors chair altogether. He's great with aesthetics but pretty lousy every where else.

I feel bad, I have no real desire to see My Soul To Take. I'm actually more pumped for the last Saw and I tend to really dislike those movies. I think Rob Zombie is a good director, I just think he's limited as a writer. He definitely peaked at The Devil's Rejects which is easily his "masterpiece." H2 was ing awful, and the slow motion ending was so corny and hard to watch, but it looked good, it was well directed for the most part.

watched Night of the Demons last night finally. i really enjoyed it, if only for the diversity of the characters (and most specifically, Roger). i'm going to have to check out the remake here in a couple weeks that's coming straight to DVD, but i think i might be a little disappointed as the new cast is a little bland compared to the wide array of characters the first one portrayed. it was campy as hell and some... off the wall happenings with the demons/gore (specifically the lipstick/boobs sequence), but god dammit was it fun.
