you seen the whole set of movies before? The first, third (Dream Warriors), and New Nightmare are considered the best ones of the series, although i'm quite partial to four (Dream Master) as well because i got a SECOND DOSE OF KINCAID. stay away from the remake if you want to enjoy your Nightmare movies, too.

I feel bad, I have no real desire to see My Soul To Take. I'm actually more pumped for the last Saw and I tend to really dislike those movies. I think Rob Zombie is a good director, I just think he's limited as a writer. He definitely peaked at The Devil's Rejects which is easily his "masterpiece." H2 was ing awful, and the slow motion ending was so corny and hard to watch, but it looked good, it was well directed for the most part. Ha, thought I recognized you. You might remember me as Sean, Movie Sean, y2jbrahmabull, any of those old names. I also think Devil's Rejects was his peak so far, I think he can make more good films, if he doesn't keep remaking stuff and doing off the wall projects just because he can. Don't feel bad, no one wants to see My Soul to Take. Looks like crap, sounds like crap, everyone says it's crap, must be crap. No thanks. Got a huge weekend lining up, I have tomorrow night off to see the lost grindhouse classic "Gone with the Pope" at midnight but I found out a theater about a mile away from there will be showing "Mutant Girls Squad" and "Alien vs Ninja" which will be the US premiere of both. I really can't afford it (double feature for $12!....shows how ing broke I am, can't afford a double feature at the cost of a regular ticket) but I might go anyway. I can figure out more money later. For those that don't know, Mutant Girls Squad is the brainchild of the guys that did Tokyo Gore Police and RoboGeisha, they got drunk together and decided they should make the most ridiculous movie ever. Tokyo Gore Police Trailer: RoboGeisha Trailer: Those are both available to those who know where to look, I highly recommend them for gore fans. And here's the one they made together, that I want to see: And then they're showing this after: Both look like tons of fun, and it's a once in a long while type of thing, rarely will they play theatrically in the US, and especially not together. So I think I'll go, ignoring the ridiculous bus trip it's going to be.

You're seeing Gone With the Pope? I'm jealous man haha. Yeah I remember you. The Evil Dead actually had a screening here a few months back but I couldn't make it due to prior engagements.
I went to Walmart today to sort through their Halloween stuff and I was disappointed, last year they had a few great deals (Happy Birthday to Me, Halloween 4 + 5 double feature) this year they didn't have anything, same with their decorations...Real shitty selection.

Gotta agree about Zombie peaking with Rejects.
As far as NOES movies, 1, 3 and New Nightmare are easily the best.
Damn, I leave for a day and we jump to 998!

This thread has really taken off the last couple of days. We will hit 1,000 long before Halloween.
Speaking of reaching goals, this is my 5,000th post. I wanted to do it here, in one of my favorite topic threads.

ANOES 3 is by far the best! They need to hurry up and release them all on Blu so I can buy them and watch the series as a whole!

Urban Legend was decent, especially for mid-90's horror. I believe the second one was better, but I haven't seen it in years.

When the new Evil Dead Blu-Ray came out a month or two ago, I took a little trip to Morristown, TN (the town where it was filmed, it's only a couple miles away from my dad's house) to pick it up.
Only one store had it (FYE). They only ordered 3 copies, and it was just inline with the regular blurays. The clerk had no idea that it was even filmed there.
Very anticlimactic. :/

Man My Soul To Take was terrible. It was bad in the weirdest way. I mean judging by the trailer I have seen I knew it wasnt going to be anything special. I just needed something to pass the time. But this movie was so different.. its like the dialog was delivered in such a stupid way. The acting was bad but at the same time I wasn't sure if parts were intentional or not. The kills werent creative at all and barely had any blood. The ending was predictable and dull. Cant say I was disappointed since I really didn't expect it to be good. I knew it was going to be bad...but I was expecting a different bad. Cant really explain. Guess you would have to see it for yourself to understand(which I dont suggest) It felt like there was an inside joke going on through out the entire movie and I wasn't in on it.
The 3D was fine. Didnt jump out at me but it was better than Clash Of The Titans. I hope Craven changes for Scream 4 because I really am a fan of the trilogy.
Cant believe the man that MADE Freddy Krueger has gotten to this point.
My Soul To Take - 6/10

Just got done watching "Dance of the Dead," the Ghost House Underground one, not the Masters of Horror one. What an awesome movie! It was insanely fun and the characters could not have been better. If anybody here hasn't seen this, I'd definitely recommend it.

watched Night of the Demons last night finally. i really enjoyed it, if only for the diversity of the characters (and most specifically, Roger). i'm going to have to check out the remake here in a couple weeks that's coming straight to DVD, but i think i might be a little disappointed as the new cast is a little bland compared to the wide array of characters the first one portrayed. it was campy as hell and some... off the wall happenings with the demons/gore (specifically the lipstick/boobs sequence), but god dammit was it fun. Yeah, probably my favourite Halloween movie. I used to make my friends watch them all the time along with the evil deads. I'm super pumped for the remake. Been waiting on it forever. Comes out in a few weeks.

I went to Walmart today to sort through their Halloween stuff and I was disappointed, last year they had a few great deals (Happy Birthday to Me, Halloween 4 + 5 double feature) this year they didn't have anything, same with their decorations...Real excrement ty selection. Well I missed it three times last year, the official premiere (first screening anywhere, ever) was at the Egyptian Theater last year and I missed it, finding out like a week later that it happened. Then Bob Murawski took it on tour, and it passed by So Cal twice during the tour, missed both. So here I sit with my tickets in hand, psyched as hell. Not gonna be able to make it to Alien Vs Ninja and Mutant Girl Squad, sad about that, but not too sad because I'm f'n broke. Want to see the Night of the Demons remake, Tiffany was in it, said it was a ton of fun and that the movie turned out great, she's really proud of it. So I'm curious to see how that turned out, but I do think I need to watch the original again before I see it.
