Wow, can't believe Let Me In did poorly. No accounting for taste, I guess.

Hatchet 2 opened at 35 at the box office with only 62,000. Which is lame because another horror movie called Chain Letter which looked straight to dvd and crapopened HIGHER at number 28 with 143,000.
I watched Frozen last night again for my horror movie fix followed by The Box.

Can't believe we're at 995! Watched parts of The Creature from The Black Lagoon tonight. My wife kept ragging on the fx so I eventually turned it off.

I know this is nothing to do with horror, but Doomrider, or anyone else for that mater, have you see 'Ilsa: Shewolf Of The SS'? I'm considering getting it on import. Also, are there any other good 'snuff' style horror movies I should consider getting in?

I have the whole Illsa series. They're definitely some of the best exploitation flicks as far as blood/boobs/unintentional humor go. You may dig some of the nazisploitation flicks too. All of the plots are usually so similar that the films tend to meld together. I honestly can't give you a unique detail about any of them ha. I think SS Hell Camp was a pretty decent one. Red Nights of the Gestapo kinda stunk from last I remember. Don't quote me on that though...they're all the same to me.

Just out of curiosity, what did everyone think of the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street? I was thinking about picking it up on Blu today, but I just wanted to get some opinions,

Cheers Doomrider.
Personally, I really liked the A Nightmate On Elm Street remake, but that seems to be mine, and mine only opinion on it.

I watched Frozen last night again for my horror movie fix followed by The Box. Well Hatchet 2 made $900 a screen, Chain Letter made $300. So it actually made 3x as much, it just got 1/3 the release that Chain Letter did. The terrible news is AMC has pulled Hatchet 2. After being pulled in Canada, Adam Green says he isn't sure what happened, but the most likely scenario is that the MPAA fined AMC theaters heavily under their shared interest agreement. Hopefully there will be more word today, but the bad per screen numbers didn't help I imagine. Woody Allen's new film made $8,000 a screen, just an example of what would have been helpful. Too bad, this speaks ill of future Unrated theatrical releases.

The Silent Theater in LA is doing all the old Castle movies with the original gimmicks, wish I didn't have a job and a lot of money so I could go see them all. I want to use a ing Ghost Viewer on 13 Ghosts.

Might order The Exorcist Blu-Ray. It's only £12.

I need ideas for a Zombie costume. I also saw an ad for the walking dead on AMC. I believe they said it was a series?

I liked the new Nightmare on Elm Street well enough. Once I decided to stop hating remakes just for being remakes I was able to enjoy them much more. (I.E. Friday the 13th 2009, and Rob Zombie's Halloween 1 & 2).

My horror haul for today
Dead Snow (9.99) The Exorcist (23.99) Frozen (9.99) Grindhouse (22.99)
I hope the new Grindhouse blu is a success so they'll finally put out the Kill Bill directors cut.
