How come people can't accept that parents just know best? If she doesn't want it to happen, then respect that decision. Unless if youre 18+, then just let it go my friend. It's probably something you'd regret in the future. Im over 18, and now that I can do it without any parental permission, and I don't even care anymore.

just tell her you can take it out at any time, and it doesn't matter about a little mark on your ear. if she keeps saying no take some iniative and do it yourself

Compare it to something worse like a tattoo. Mention how it isnt as permanent and how it isnt expensive. Offer to pay for it yourself as well.

Two choices:
1. Get it done without her knowing, decide that it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission, but in fact lose her trust and never be allowed to do anything ever again, or...
2. Just listen to her and don't do it. You'll look like a shirtpuller anyway.
