a friend of mine who is a strong athiest suggested this video to me a few weeks back, and assuming it would be another of his one-sided movies where it is biasedly against religion i avoided seeing it for a while. however a debate in my philosophy class in which a catholic student refused the possibility of any other outside existance than the catholic god stirred me to look this video back up. www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ just wanted to hear what everyone has to say about it, religious, athiests or people who don't know or don't care what to think. *to disclaimer: i am not calling to question parts two or three of the movie, as these are altogether different issues that i think this forum has been through enough times* |

Its two hours long, so I don't want to sit through it. Can you tell me, is the two hours all three parts, or is the first part only a few minutes?
(I'm assuming its broken into parts, based on you saying part 2 and 3 aren't what you're discussing)

are you just straight up not watching the film then commenting? it doesn't talk about god. it talks about jesus christ, and yes there is a large difference in questioning the existance of the two.
whatever, thought this might be interesting for some but apparently not

And kfive, Your thread IS interesting, but the video is just too long. therefore no one really wants to sit through it all. I find it hard to sit through any programs (with the exception of the A-Team) so I know I wouldn't have the patience to sit through that. Just be prepared for a thread were non-religious people give reasons why they dont believe in god/jesus and also say that they don't care what other people think, and religious people tell them they are going to hell for not believing in god and should change their lives immediately. |

This vid has been posted before. It's a bunch of nutjobs hyping conspiracy theories that have more holes in them than swiss cheese.
I don't think anyone can prove or disprove the existence of God and I'm always interested when someone thinks they're smart enough to try. Not gonna watch this though.

I haven't watched the video yet (I don't have the time right now), but I would just like to say that it is UNfactual to disprove Christ, as he is a FACTUAL person. There is historical evidence outside of religious texts that show he was an actual person.
